  • Thanks for watching! I design and manufacture electronic music equipment for Rare Waves LLC (rarewaves.net). Please check out the fun and interesting synth DIY kits I have developed: Rare Waves Hydronium CV-Gate/MIDI monosynth, Lite2Sound photodiode amplifiers, Tune in Tokyo sound effect synthesizers.

    The first circuit I have made 1 year ago when I have started to build my modular synth. Noise from an old fm radio + VC-LPF = windy-ufo-funny-noises. Thanks for your nice circuits! Best builder EVER!

    Very nice sounding VCF!
    Been looking for low voltage VCFs that have the ability to get into the grimy sounding resonance.
    Haven't had much luck until now!
    Definitely building this right away.!!!
    Cheers for sharing bud.

    If I wanted to make one of these but with steps between random cutoff frequencies, how would I integrate something like that into this?

    • @samothrace2106
      @samothrace2106 5 лет назад

      It's voltage controlled, so you could just make a simple sequencer like a baby ten and sequence the cv input of the filter. The steps wouldn't be random, though, you would control them. If you really want random, I'm sure you could come up with a fairly simple quasi-random voltage generator with cmos chips, Google it.

    Is there any chance that you can pass me the schematic through my mail or upload it to another page? Tha page in the description doesn´t work and I don´t find any home button.

  • @thomaswiwchar1661
    @thomaswiwchar1661 4 года назад

    where do you connect the CV? the schematic says connect cv here, but then dosn't say where

    • @EA78751
      @EA78751  4 года назад

      Add CV inputs by connecting additional resistors to base of Q2. Example: R22=10k is a CV input for the FREQ pot. Add more resistors by analogy to R22 for more CV inputs.

      that's not true at all. check the frequency sweeps before and after all resonance adjustments. the presence (or absence) of the peak is very audible.
