Thank you! I had the same issue. A company sent a rod with a broken tip, are sending me a replacement AND they didn't want the IM8 rod back! If I lose an inch and can use this sensitive rod, why not? 👍👍
@@MikesManCave The technique I’ve seen is you epoxy the two pieces together then wrap the joint in braided fishing line. Then cover that with epoxy. Is that not important? I’m doing this now.
@@tuono2914 I did not epoxy two pieces together, I just fitted the tip to the rod, it will never hold trying to glue the pieces together. They will come apart the first cast you make with the rod.
Good to see it could be fixed instead of having to go in the bin. Happy fishing Mike 👍🏻😎
Yeah, seemed like a waste to throw it away. mot that hard to fix, I can understand the shop would not be bothered for one rod.

Exactly my thoughts as well. It's worth saving the rod and the fish will never know the difference.
I have the same exact rod that broke in the same exact spot, seems very brittle at the end
How did it break? Mine was broken during transport so not sure what happened to to. If it breaks during use, pretty sure it's under warranty.
what if you dont have the piece tip at the end what can i do
Go to tackle shopr or eBay and buy one.
thanks :)
Happy to help
You didn’t use the braided line after
After what?? Not sure what you mean, use whatever line you like, it's a fishing rod. You fish with it.
