I adore Florence; she’s just such a fascinating person. Also, props to the interviewer! She comes off genuinely interested in their discussion, and wisely stays quiet when receiving answers, allowing the interviewee to divulge more information we might not have heard otherwise.

It's my first time seeing a Florence Welch interview and I'm pretty astonished at how sweet and charming she is compared to when she's singing with ferocity. And props to Annie for being patient and letting Flo express her thoughts.
She is a living legend. So underrated. A true artist.
when she talks about creativity working through you vs from you, if you pay attention, you can tell that her previous albums were so grand and almost larger than life and even distant in a way, and now this one, where her creativity comes from her, you can tell how much more intimate and primal her music is.
I love how the interviewer just listened to her and gave her enough time to express herself. It feels much more like conversation then an interview with tons of questions. Great job! :)
We all agree that Florance is amazing... but let's talk for a moment about radio host. She's adorable and so kind, attentive to Florance. Love it!

Wow, her description of that mind state where you start to crack, but not necessarily in a bad way, everything takes on significance and crystalizes in you, I totally relate to that mind state. How on earth did she describe it so effortlessly?!?!

Agree with the great part, but not with it being different. I doubt you have heard all her albums because hunger is reminiscent of songs from 'ceremonials'
Of course I listened to all of her albums! :) I know what you mean with being "reminiscent of songs from 'ceremonials'", the syncopated piano reminds me of "Only If For A Night", the anthemic vibe corresponds with the theme of Ceremonials, the downbeat and dance rhythms and so on! But nevertheless I don't think this Single would fit in "ceremonials"; I mean: She developed so much, found her own style (very important for HBHBHB), and this song still is unique because it has a very biografic, sad, yet clear character, which is rare in flos lyrics, for they are mostly veiled (beautifully). "Hunger" is more direct, and we should not forget, that she adresses us directly ( "WE all have a hunger" ) which I think is quite unusual, most of her songs are and stay quite personal and she leaves it to the listener to relate. Furthermore, I think her vocals sound even more intense in the recent two songs, she always had a powerful voice, but as both are starting with a vocal part, her voice is even more focussed. But like I said, I totally understand what you are saying! I just think these songs are really evolved, they accomplish to create a unique tone. And I really appreciate Florence + The Machines music for this.

I’m glad that she explains that corrupting the body and mind with drugs and alcohol doesn’t equal creativity… I’ve personally live both sides of the coin and creativity comes from within when being true to ourselves, we are not true to ourselves when we alter our minds

Omg! The way she talks about days where everything seemed to take on significance is so relatable. You find inspiration everywhere and things even feel different. I like how she explains it like she not tethered in reality in those times.

I'm so depressiv that she was in vienna and I didn't had the money as trainee and since then I hope she is coming again and I'm saving my money for her concert and I wanna buy EVERYTHING from her merchandise. I love all her songs but I'm singing my favorite song everytime I can in my boring life. "Breath of Life" was the song what hit me like an arrow from Armor. She inspired me to life my life and not be reserved only for working but to make and follow my own destiny. I owe her alot. 🤩😍☺️
Florence is so classically beautiful, and not even in a hipster way. You wouldn't think she's an older Millennial born in 1986, she's an old soul and that's awesome. It's not that she looks older or anything, she just looks like a grown ass woman and not a teenager like RiRi still does
