    Please don’t stop this channel. I love it! As a fellow high handicapper I am empathising, sympathising and cheering every stroke of your round. (When you can afford it a radio

    Hello from Australia. I recently found your channel and really enjoy your videos! I’ve only recently put my first 3 cards in and have just started playing in a ladies comp for the first time. I’m a 28 handicap on the course I play on. Probably well in the 30s on any other course. I’ve only had 5 rounds of 18 holes in this comp so watching your videos is helping me immensely. Really puts things into perspective! Golf, it’s bloody frustrating but bloody addictive. Btw my husband is Irish (a Dub) and plays with me sometimes on the weekends. Hopefully we can get to have a round over there one day.

      Hi Annifrid, thank you so much for this comment 😊 I love hearing people enjoy my videos. My channel went a bit quiet towards the end of last year but I'm hoping to start filming Season 2 this weekend and I'm really gonna try and make them a lot more regular this year. Well done on getting your cards in. 28 is a very decent start for a beginner.
      And yes, you've summed it up exactly. Very addictive and so frustrating 😭 Some days I can't believe I voluntarily put me through such pain 🤣 And not only that, we actually pay good money to do it to ourselves too 🤣 Bu it always brings me back each week convinced today is the day!
      If you continue to watch my channel I'd love if you'd keep me updated on your progress. And hello to your husband. If ye ever make it over, give me a shout 👍🏻

    Your doing OK, golf is all about if and buts, I won a comp with 40 points having 30 shots. Same course few weeks later 7 points front 9, 16 on back 9 23 points and come last 😂😂😂 bloody game drives you mad
    39 points with how many 3 putts in what sounded like challenging conditions with the wind, well done that’s a good round.
    Felt for the 52 deg chip at the last, I think what happens in those shots the fluffy lie allows the club to slide under the ball a lot so you need to be firmer with the swing, but of course at our level we don’t trust the strike and can end up thinning it. Keep it going looking forward to more videos

    • @DiaryofaHighHandicapper
      @DiaryofaHighHandicapper  2 года назад

      It’s a mad game 😂 I’ve done similar as you. Gone out and shot 40 points and literally the very next round it feels like I’ve never held a club before. Yeah overall I was reasonably pleased. Wind was very strong so was tough to gauge distances etc. but I played most holes ok and it was really just my putting that let me down. Normally I’m a steady putter so I won’t lose too much sleep over it and just put it down as an off day. I’ve been putting well since. Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻

      Thanks Mark. Appreciate the positive feedback. Glad you enjoyed the content. Normally I’m a pretty decent putter but I’ve no idea what happened in this video. I was using a smaller, more portable tripod for around the greens to get closer “action” shots in this video so I don’t know whether I just spent too long setting those up and not concentrating on the putts (that’s my excuse anyway and I’m sticking to it 😂) but thankfully I haven’t putted as badly in any round since 👍🏻
