🤣
What a lovely pub you have made i noted the pint glass inscribed with the great fell walker himself. I have all his books
Pure yorkshire hero
I saw that too, won’t criticise mind you as I’m just the same! Takes the wife all day to drink a half and I’m 3 pints in by then! This is why although I’d love a pump like this in my bar I probably wouldn’t as I’d never leave the place!
@@richcampoverde Yes Wainwright, an amazing man, thanks Pat
Lol love it.. "That didn't last long" straight down neck. Landlord seems a decent guy..
I really appreciate the setup walkthrough. Very interesting and informative.
The thing that made Pat's last video so great was seeing him get pissed, in real time, gulping down the ale, each pint in just 2 or 3 go's....lovely to see & exactly how I drink beer! Should be a compulsory new law...since fucking lockdown, each pint must now be drunk in 2, or maximum 3, gulps! Imagine my horror then to see in this video, cuts & the glass has magically gone down!? No Pat, we don't want that, no cuts to cover up you going outside & tipping some on the lawn! Gulp it down man, live, on camera....maybe get really pissed & smash the pub up a bit.
Your videos are a modern "HOW" - (A UK TV programme in the 1970's).
Patrick, your videos are so inspiring. Thank you. Please please please keep making them.
Multimedia people, Sign him up, but let Pat have editorial control.
Tesco...you owe this guy!
I got a mate like you, he knocks his first pint down like you. I'm standing there with 3/4's of a pint and he says "Your round" Great Vid as always!
Love the way you show and say everything in details. Thank you!
My pleasure Kirill, always nice to chat to people with similar interests....... thanks Pat 😊
Great follow up to part 1 another video gem, they always leave a feelgood factor after watching. Thanks for all your efforts Pat you are a star.
"Better pull another......" I love it Patrick! Well done.
Jeremy York ....aye , and another, and another, oh aye, top lad.......👍🤣
Love the beer in a bag idea, you've likely inspired a good few to set up their own little garden pub with such an informative video, cheers Pat 👍🍻
ive set one up in my kitchen, best thing i ever did :)
Brilliant vid. I’m glad Yeovil do a nice pint as I’m moving towards that neck of the woods from Bournemouth. I was also just watching your long walk vid with a few pints to celebrate 2k subs. Your channel has come a long way we’ll deserved and keep it up it’s brilliant 🍻
Thanks and kind words, yes the channel has moved on, I do have alot of interests, beer being involved in most of them, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick thank you for this video. You answered so many questions around the set up that I couldn’t find anywhere else and in the most personable and entertaining way. I now have a clear plan for my own set up which I’ll be building once we move in 2024. Can’t wait to see some more pub shed videos once your back. Hope all ok and keep safe and well.
Glad you found the video enjoyable, certainly a learning curve, but an enjoyable one, always enjoy learning new things.
I,am very well and travelling around and enjoying myself , see you at the end of the year...... thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 thanks for taking the time to reply Patrick. I am looking forward to embarking on my own little pub once we move in 2024. In the meantime I wish you well and hope to see some more pub chats when you are refreshed and back online. Keep safe.
Ha ha! ‘I’ll spend another hour or so before going back to the house!!’ Pat you had 4 pints in about 15 minutes, going on to your 5th lol. I don’t think that beer is going to last 14 days at that rate? Another interesting and well produced vid. A pleasure to watch. I also liked the beer 🍺 label detail - the touch of a perfectionist 👍
‘Just one more’ you do make me laugh Pat. Really enjoyed this one...and the owl sound effects...just great feel good YouTubing 🙂
Another Brilliant video Pat !! Always great to watch 💯
Great setup and great video, Pat - as always :) Tip for temperature control; if you store the temp probe for the inkbird in a glass of water inside the fridge it will replicate temperature of the beer better and not be affected as much by ambient temperature changes if opening the fridge door turning the cooling relay on/off unnecessary.
I've never felt so good about watching someone else sit there and slowly get sozzled...Gentlemen prefer blondes ;-)...Great job Pat. Stay safe mate.
Thanks Sam
"We've only got 12 days to drink 20 litres but I'm sure we'll manage that, anyway..." - Pat
Just want to say that I have been catching up on all your videos over the last few weeks, and I am well impressed. I love to see all the bad weather camping, in particular... mainly because I'm a wimp in cold/bad weather so end to avoid it when I can lol. Also, it is great to see other videos too, like the tunnels, dam overflow outlets and of cause, your pub!. Well done sir. I look forward to watching more. All the best..
Hi Mark, glad you have been enjoying my videos, as you can see I have a variety of interests, makes life a lot interesting, thanks for watching, all the best Pat
🍻 Pat a pleasure watching and learning something new all the time
Patrick Dickinson. The man, the myth, the legend!
I think you should start every vid with pulling the pint 🍻👍🏻
Not a bad idea, thanks Pat
Fantastic share - I am fascinated with casked beer...it is an oddity in the US. Thanks much for going through the delivery system and the parts list - extremely helpful. Cheers - time for another one!
"Just one more" you sir are a legend. Really enjoy watching all your vids. I'm just over hill in Huddersfield so cheers to the northern pint 🍻👍🏻
Thank you RUclips notifications ....black Pints Matter 🍻
All pints matter! 🍻🤣
Discharge Summary. It’s not alright to mock the black lives matter movement mate, Quite childish to be honest.
James Beech there’s always one 🙄
James Beech who are you the fun police , British sense of humour matters , use it or lose it . 💃🌼🕺🏼
Nice to see you posting old boy - hope to see you out in the woods again soon!
I hope so too!
@@patrickdickinson6492 I especially enjoyed your camping retrospective going back to the 1970s. Thanks for the effort, the great information, and the nostalgia.
I love the way the foam hugs the glass all the way down . It looks like it taste so smooth .
Just beautiful
Patrick has helped me immensely in getting my act together in my new bar.The ideas he uses are easy to understand and I looked at a lot of others who to be honest weren't a deal of help....Thanks Patrick.👍
My pleasure and glad you got your bar sorted, like anything new must takes time to learn new techniques, just a matter of breaking it down to basics, enjoy your beer, all the best Pat
100% this, I couldn’t put it any better myself.
Here's a name Dickinsons arms 🍻
I do miss the smell of the Ward's Brewery down at the end of Eccy road. :(
Yes Stuart, remember it well
Very Good. always a joy watching Pat👍😊👍
Thank you Patrick, that was very instructive.
Your very welcome Larry
You drink far to slow 😂
Well impressed with your set up Patrick, a lot of hard work gone into your project. Well done.
Another great video Patrick I would love to see a video of you stumbling back after a we session in ya pub ......
Great video informative and enjoyable .👏👏👏
Hi Pat been watching your videos for over a year. Your garden pub is amazing. Loving the Wards Best Bitter towel 👍. Even got my husband watching now. Cheers!
My new favourite RUclips channel! Cheers from Canada.
Pat, you have just answered everything I needed to know ! Cheers mate !
Thanks for sharing! Your setup is awesome!✌🏼❤️😊
Really enjoyed this vid pat ,looking down the garden as to where I can build a pub
Thanks for all the info Patrick. I'm now set-up with an almost identical beer in a box system and living the dream.
I used the exact same handpump and thermostat - coupled it to a normal undercounter fridge, with an in-line non-return valve in the beer line.
My local brewery (Bishop Nick) deliver next day for free to my house but (being in the South East) I'm paying £60 for a 36 pint polypin. I sometimes get them on offer for £52, so I'm paying between £1.40 and £1.60 a pint overall (i.e. nothing compared to London prices!).
My next move is to mount the whole system on a portable trolley, so I can use it in the garden kitchen in Summer, then indoors in Winter. I'll have to make the whole arrangement as 'sympathetic as possible to get planning permission from 'She Who Must Be Obeyed' of course before it can be brought indoors.
I wish you (continuing) good health Sir!
Cheers
Graeme.
Love your little pub and set up brilliant
Ive not been in a pub since the lock-down began and i doubt if i will till things start to settle down a bit. But i feel no jealousy in seeing such a nice bloke like you Pat enjoying your self in your own bar drinking back the pints. Good for you mate.
I love your garden pub! Great to see hand pulled beer being served Northern style, and supped properly! I'm originally from Sheffield and miss the days of supping in Sheffield pubs in the 1980's, so thanks Patrick for bringing back fond Memories!
Hi Nick, I remember the Sheffield pubs in the 70,s 80, great times and great memories, all the best Pat
Thanks for sharing this moment in your cosy little pub. Cheers :)
My pleasure 😊....will be back in there soon...... thanks Pat 😁
you know what pat, i wish i was your neighbour or friend i could literally listen to you all night, you're one of them guys i meet in a pub who hypnotise me with knowledge and tales of wisdom, ( off the beaten track though.... one of my favourite pints was kimberley ales , only ever found it at the ship inn at shalesmoor,.........but did love me stoneses
Hi Simon, remember the Ship well, lovely old pub with a modern take,, remeber Stones as well, all the best Pat
Well done pat, thanks for the lesson on the pump, pipes, & fridge, have educated me 😁 enjoy yourself 🍻🍻🍻 great stream 👍🏼
Another great video Pat, liked the Owl Impression! Enjoyed another pint with you, Cheers 😊
Just watched this whilst on a nightshift break. You're videos are always a pleasure makes me smile everytime " just one more ". Was talking to the missus and you've set us up on a project. Happy drinking keep smiling and we look forward to seeing your videos out on kinder, followed by a patrick pint.
Thanks Steve
Thankyou for your informative video and described clearly. As now setting up my own home bar.
Glad it was of use, amazing when you can have your own hand pulled beer....... thanks Pat
You inspired me to create my own bar and get a pump. What a guy you have given me all the tips to get my perfect pint. Cheers pal 👍
Great to hear!,,,,,cheers Pat
British ingenuity at its best. This guy's a legend. Cheers!
Thanks really nice of you to say, thanks Pat
Pinnacle of awesomeness Patrick! Glad to see you doing well, I do enjoy your videos a lot.
Hi Patrick. I bet you enjoyed those early morning beer drinks! I really enjoyed video and your pub looks great. Lockdown Arms sounds so good because you did everything durening lockdown and this is your little pub!
I do love a pint with fish and chips plus mushy peas as a bar lunch. Imagine if you could take this little pub when you do wild camping that would be awesome! I hope you do more videos in your pub! Looks like your onto a winner here!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, really was a great project throgh lockdown, hopefully have another visit in a couple of months, thanks Pat
a joy to watch Patrick and well explained. i have a big unused shed ! food for thought so one day i just may do the conversion... enjoy the beer in a nice surrounding... cheers
Great video again Patrick. 58 seconds that first pint, and a great description to boot. Cheers.

Only recently come across your Channel. Really enjoying them! Have a great day 🍻
Thanks, hole you enjoy the videos, thanks Pat
Superb, thanks Pat. I am a home brewer but always looking fora ways to diversify between brews. This was very interesting and informative, and has given me some ideas, thank you :-)
Hi and glad you enjoyed it, you can always it your homebrew into your own bags, seems to keep well in the fridge, thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 That's a good idea, I could have my own cask ale style beers on Draught.
Loved the vid pat great description of all the kit thanks for doing this just shows it's not to hard to do.
Yes Bill, when you break it down to basics, beer engine pipe and beer, anybody can do that, thanks Pat
I'm new to the channel, been catching up on previous videos, great content. I'm from Sheffield too so great to see
Another great video.. its a real pleasure watching you 🍺 cheers
That box ain’t doing 10 days......bloomin Nora.......first taste half a pint, second taste ....pint gone, let’s have another......second pint , done.......awesome setup, top man 👍👍🇮🇲💪😁
That first pint made my mouth water. What a fantastic man cave you have built.
Thank you kindly
Great idea that pat,can feel another extension coming on to my pub save the lads going up the pear tree lol, love the decor as well.
Mine is themed old school as well, proper pub!
Thanks 👍....yes best way to go like the old pubs used to be, thanks Pat
Being Friday night I may well have had one or two myself by now, but I love your postings Patrick. As a late comer to your channel I've caught up with your trials and tribulations and especially enjoy the fact that we share the same interest, backpacking and beer, not necessarily in that order. Happen I'll see thee later.
Hi and welcome to my channel and hope you enjoy my content, not all beer and drinking, as you will probably see, thanks Pat
Thanks Patrick for a great video!
Your very welcome Denny
Im shortly embarking on my own "garden room" build and now giving very serious thought to a small corner with beer pump.... Im salivating now just thinking about a nice cool hand pulled pint when I get in from work of an evening....
Watching this same day (Wednesday) in New Zealand, but we're 12 hours ahead! We're loving everything you post on RUclips, Pat. Wild camping... exploration... beer!!!
Thanks Andereeon, glad you are enjoying them, cheers Pat
Bloody marvelous Patrick , great relaxing watch 🍺
Glad you enjoyed it
Afternoon Pat just watched your 2k Subscribers vlog and thought it was from now. What a pillock I am all those pubs and you just walk in and have a pint. They were the day's so well done on getting to 2k hahaha 😀👍how many now
Another great video in your Pub Pat. You make swift work of 4 pints.....!! Legend.
Top job again Pat. That first pint made my mouth water. 🤤
Thank You for posting Patrick, great quality video just like you Pub.
The nicest man on RUclips, would love to have a pint with you Pat. Many thanks for all your videos, Paul
Cracking little pub you've made Pat. Looks like a wonderful place to spend an evening
Hey Patrick, great video. Check the shops in the Sheffield antiques quarter, plenty of pub paraphernalia in there including mirrors.
My tongue was hanging out watching you pull and drink that beautiful pint! Who would have thought months ago you would be making this type of video? Enjoyed it Pat, thanks mate!
I like to vary my content as you can see, also like beer, as you can see, haha.... thanks Pat
Great vid love the pub ,great tips, entertainment with education, brilliant stuff ,your a legend pat
Another great vlog, cheers Pat. Your setup is very similar to mine but I haven't used it yet so the cleaning aspect was particularly useful. I looked at a cooling unit for the pump but, as you say, they're very expensive. So what I've done is made my own, it's just a small cool box full of water with a small pond pump in it. This pumps the water to the hand pump and then it returns to the ice box. The ice box is in the fridge, above the beer box and seems to work well :)
Water is at maximum density at 4° C. So convection may be sufficient if your chilled vessel of water, in the refrigerator, is a few feet above the hand pull. Be sure to insulate the cool convection tubing. The taller the refrigerated vessel is, the better. Terminate the warm return at the top of the vessel and the descending cool water tubing at the base of the vessel.
@@MrPianoKnee Amazon sell small circulation pumps for £10, like yourself I'd thought a small tank in the fridge at the top and insulated lines. I just like my beers cold. I've had way to many warm pints :(
Sounds interesting, luckly with our climate temperature not too much of a problem apart from when we have a great wave like last week.interesting to build a cooler set up though, thanks Pat
Patrick Dickinson Yeah I think it was just something to give me something to do. Like you, I always like to have a project on the go. The idea behind mine (since I don’t have an awesome bar like you) is to carry the whole setup outside and set it up next to the BBQ when we have family over so it may be useful on hot days :)
How good is your setup Patrick, you are methodical with all your equipment and rightly so, no wonder your throat made a good recovery! :) I can remember going to a working man's club over at dedar land, the beer went sour the barman nearly got lynched!! I had such a good time. so I understand your perfection with all your good work. Many thanks for your video. stay well, am off for some of my homebrew now, IPA chinook hops, Cheers from Whaley Bridge. :)
From dedar land to Whaley Bridge, we have one thing in common the love of a nice pint, all the best Pat
Because of you Pat, I am Building my very own pub with my dad. Thanks 👍 by the way, Big fan!
Thanks that,s great, I,am sure you will enjoy the fruits of your labour, thanks Pat
Very enjoyable video to watch. Cheers!!
Glad you enjoyed it Chris, amazing stuff, the best, thanks Pat
No need to reply Pat but I really enjoyed this video. Great to be reminded about Wards beer too. Recognised the beer towel on the wall - I used to go to the Greyhound pub in Ecclesfield with my father (who worked for YEB) which was Wards’ flagship pub in Sheffield. I’ve sold out and moved to the ‘posh’ side of Sheffield now! My dad would never forgive me if he was still with us! Thanks for another great film
Hi Pete, yes remember Wards beer vey well, had to get a few bits to remind me of that famous Sheffield beer, as you probably know I worked for YEB for 40 years so I may of known your dad, thanks Pat
Absolutely loved your video and the pub is cracking. Really pleased with the way our Summerset poured. As you said it's not a super hoppy beer, more a smooth quaffing Southern pint! Cheers Pat!
Thank you for your comments, very pleased with the beer, one reason I chose your brewery was to see how long the delivery took, around 48hours so acceptable for the distance, and the fact you can get beer in a box from all over the UK, thanks Pat
Excellent video, thanks. Could tell you were gasping for that 1st pint! 😜🍺
Nice one Pat. Your vids are a wholesome escape from the madness of the world.
It’s looking great. I’m jealous. I love the bar towel on the wall.
Thanks Dean, good fun collecting all the little bit, thanks Pat
Brilliant as always followed you ever since you was in the old railway tunnel in chesterfeld, my home town ,hope to see some more camping videos soon pls
It's so smooth. That's the northern sparkler. Good one.
A vent of sorts is needed in the wall.
Cracking stuff, thanks for brightening my evening Pat! Pedigree ... THE drink of my student days in Derby 👍
Glad to bring back a few memories Garry, all the best Pat
Just recently discovered ur videos Pat, my old watering hole was the Three Merry Lads at Lodge Moor so really enjoyed you mention them on a previous episode, all the best 👍🍺
Hi Robert, yes remember the Three Merry Lads from the 1970,s my first pub I went to, thanks Pat
Love your work Pat but these videos of you in your little pub are my favourites. It is looking fantastic. All the best mate. Good health.
Thanks Dan, another wildcamping video out later tonight, thanks Pat
Id just love to stop here for a pint!. What a nice chap.
Them pints look good, and the way you glugged em down tells me they taste good anawl! nice one Pat another great video, thanks for sharing and take care.
Nice to hear from you Roy, good to know you are alright. Enjoying this beer probably too much, but when it's there waiting every day, just can,t refuse, all the best Pat
Hi Pat, your pub looks even better on each episode. What a marvellous little retreat and a brilliant example of adapting to our new situation. Imagine you have had this one before but Pats “Lock Inn” any good? Fascinating stuff, could do with building one of these myself but imagine I could struggle to get clearance if you know what I mean! Never imagined I would be so interested in the plumbing but it’s great!
Ps - new favourite word - “Beer Engine” outstanding! two of mans greatest inventions!!
Beer Engine....one of many greatest inventions, thanks Pat
Great vid again, thanks. Looking forward to the next wild camp though.
Brilliant Pat. I’m just in the process of setting up my ‘home pub’. Got my beer engine ready, thanks for the tips regarding cooling & the non return valve. Got my Inkbird on order. Cheers 🍻 🍻🍻🍻
Sounds good, I,am sure you will have alot of enjoyment out of it when all finished, thanks Pat
Great little pub man. 👍
Cheers from Northern Utah, USA
Great to hear from Utah Tom, and thanks, all the best Pat
Just one more! Love it 👍
I,LL have that on my gravestone, haha.... thanks Pat
