What if Vegeta's rage at seeing Future Trunks get killed by Cell made him go SSJ2?
I was wondering this watching the scene in DBZA.
Know what would happen? He'd still get smashed by Cell. SSJ2 as a 2 times increase over Super Saiyan. Prior to the Cell Games we have Goku unleash half his power at Korin's, half that towers over Vegeta's power. And Cell is stronger still than Goku's full power as a Super Saiyan, and gets even stronger when he returns.
Ya know I was really tired when I made my comment and I don't see much changing to the over story just cause Vegeta gets SSJ2 early like this. But for him fighting Cell I don't think he'd have much more trouble than Gohan really. Only reason Gohan became that injured was because he flew directly into a blast to block it for Vegeta, who if he was SSJ2 in this scenario probably wouldn't end up in the dirt like that to begin with. Things would probably play out more or less the same just with Cell's Perfect/Solar Kamehameha going up against an SSJ2 powered Final Flash.

I doubt Vegeta would have stopped his attack. Knowing him, hed be furious at being eclipsed, would try to kill everyone and obtain the power on his own, since even a kid could do it. Either way, I'm pretty sure Vegeta already knew about Freeza and his home planet. He's the one who told Goku about it, after all.

There was also a flashback scene of Nappa telling Vegeta and Raditz about rumors that Freeza was the one responsible, followed by Vegeta dismissing it as irrelevant. Although I imagine that was a filler scene.
Vegeta not knowing does add a lot of drama be interesting to see where this what if goes.

My theory is that there is a certain threshold for a power level you must have prior to enduring this rage. Or you just become really strong and get it like gotten and trunks did without trauma. So it’s less about age and more about power.
You would think that Goku seeing all his friends dead in the Saiyan saga might have pushed him over, but he just wasn’t strong enough yet.

It's a little "alien space bat-y." Ginyu's only real character trait is his unwavering loyalty to Frieza.
You're right, that is a good one, though that would require Masako to completely rewrite Ginyu's personality. Canon Ginyu is far too loyal to ever do that to Frieza. It would be interesting to see what could have been if he wasn't so loyal. He did have a few opportunities throughout Z and Super to Body Change Frieza. What would happen if he actually took one of those opportunities?
Why didnt they just bring Ginyu in the tournament of power and have him switch with Jiren....

...I'm sorry, says who exactly? Yeah, Super Saiyan takes a lot of energy at first, but that doesn't mean it'll just instantly knock you out.
Also the "pure of heart" thing was just speculation by the other characters, and was wildly disproven when people like Vegeta and Goku Black could all go Super Saiyan. In fact, it's actually more likely that Super Saiyan makes you _not_ pure of heart due to being completely filled with rage in order to unlock it.

I don't know if it's actually a full dubbism or not, because on the Dragon Ball wiki it mentioned Tien speculating that Super Saiyan required being pure of heart, as well as Vegeta mentioning that having a pure evil heart potentially worked as being pure hearted for the transformation. I know Funimation did add Goku's little speel about being "A warrior pure of heart and awakened by fury" (which they changed to actually fit the Japanese version and his character in the Kai dub), but it is based in _some_ precedent from actual canon (at least to my knowledge).
@A'VIAN LOVE "pure hearted" damn. Never knew vegeta was pure hearted. Also you dont need a very high power. Trunks in the future was still very weak. But got ssj still. In the manga its shown when he was still training with future gohan. And trunks for a minute went ssj. Gohan blocked the punch easily. And I doubt gohan is anywhere near a saiyan with a close enough power to a power of 50M.
My theory as to why Gohan never went Super Saiyan before the Hyperbolic Time Chamber (besides, you know, the plot) was that he was simply too scared to do it. Super Saiyan is brought about through immense anger and its possible, especially during the fight with Frieza, that he was simply to scared to do it at that time. As for the fight with Nappa while Gohan was shown to be enraged at Piccolo's death, he immediately vented his anger in the form of a masenko which isn't what happened to Goku when he went Super Saiyan. Goku was shown to stand still for a period of time to simply allow the rage to build up before finally acheiving the form, and his rage lasted for a vast portion of his fight with Frieza instead of calming down shortly afterwards. Thats what i think anyway for a more logical story/character given explanation than simply "the plot" and " Goku is the main character".

So I had this thought for a lightning round What If but it could be integrated with this one fairly easily.
What If Gohan meet Videl early.
Say after the Namek saga ChiChi decides Gohan could benefit from spending time with kids his own age so she enrolls him in an elementary school. Now its about eight months between the end of the Namek saga and the arrival of future Trunks.
There he'll meet Videl who's preparing for the Junior martial arts tournament. And maybe she first notices Gohan when a bully tries to push him over and take his lunch money only to fall on his ass and have Gohan turn around and apologize thinking he knocked him over on accident. The bully then tries to punch Gohan but he just effortlessly dodges the attacks. Gohan also proves impossible to hit in gym while playing Dodge Ball.
So Videl is interested in fighting him in the junior martial arts tournament but Gohan's not interested and at this point she has no leverage. She tries following him one day and finds he leaves school and goes to Capsule Corp.(a five year-old commuting from the mountain district would be too ridiculous and draw notice so he goes there before flying home).
She tries to climb a tree so spy on him and ends up falling, but Gohan catches her revealing that he can fly.
Could post this in next week's what if and see if it gets more attention. Good idea though !

So.........gohan will be the main character!!
There's going to be a lot on Gohan's plate. So much trauma and stress at all angles. He killed Nappa while he went Super Saiyan even though he is a pacifist, Goku wants him to go Super Saiyan again and fight Frieza. Vegeta wants him go Super Saiyan again and to kill Frieza, if he can't. Frieza is murderous tyrant who caused the near genocide of the Saiyan race. Frieza could do that to Earth. Goku and Vegeta wouldn't want to stop. The Super Saiyan form overwhelmed Gohan, and he lost control. There's no one to guide him until Goku and Vegeta achieve the Super Saiyan form. There's no one I can see not causing stress and actually leveling with him, and that's Krillin. Gohan could pull this off, but this is an uphill climb, and from how we know him he isn't a fighter. He's going to have a lot of trouble until he learns a similar lesson to what he learned from Android 16. Goku and Vegeta are going to have to pull their own weight and realize that they shouldn't overwhelm Gohan.

Eh if you consider the Hulk the main character in his stories. Like it or not he's going to be trained and used like a weapon X program soldier against Freeza. I'd say the main character is still Vegeta, it's going to be fascinating seeing how Masako decides what Vegeta will do when he could potentially wish for immortality.
I have ideas:
1)what if Broly was sent on Earth instead of Goku
2) What if a Cell Jr survived?
3) What if Android 17 and 18 were awaken earlier?
Well as for the third one, most likely the trunks timeline even if they were less evil overall than that one.
#2 has been done in the DBS manga
+Diego Bendo if broly didn't kill everyone then he'd just become goku but smarter and with more angier rage problems

What if Cell from Trunks time adsorbed the other Cell after going back in time?
They kind of hinted towards that in a Parallel Quest in Xenoverse 2. Imperfect Cell stealing the time machine, but setting the wrong date, leading to him traveling to one of the days leading up to the Cell Games, where he and the Future Warrior (you) fight against Perfect Cell, after which Imperfect Cell absorbs him to reach "even greater perfection". In other words, Perfecter Cell.

What if Vegeta got his immortality wish on namek?

As Whis said in one ep. There is nothing Beerus can't destroy (hakai the ghost).

Jitsu Since Vegeta would be immortal, he could never get into a near-death situation since his wounds would instantly regenerate and he would take no damage (as seen with Zamasu...) so Vegeta would not be able to get any Zenkai boost while fighting against Frieza. So basically Frieza wouldn't be able to kill Vegeta but Vegeta would never be able to overpower and defeat Frieza either because he wouldn't be able to become a SSJ. Eventually Frieza would become annoyed and he would just blow up Namek and unless Vegeta was able to find a space pod in time, he would lose himself drifting in space, choking for eternity forever alive even if he can't breathe...that sounds painful actually.
I think that these things would happen
1 goku and Vegeta would still become rivals but with a little bit more respect from Vegeta
2 goku would train gohan
3 Vegeta would tell them more about the sajyins
4 goku and gohan would spend for time together
Masako, I've been crunching some numbers, using the x50 multiplier on some of Gohan's earliest known power levels, and, even without any of your plot-related whatiffery, the results are astounding:
Tree of Might: PL: 500,000 - He'd have destroyed Turles, even without his Great Ape transformation, and with Turles using the fruit from the Tree of Might (which would have only given him a power level of >300,000)
Namek Saga: PL: 75,000 - He could have killed Zarbon (23,000) and Dodoria (22,000) AND VEGETA (24,000)
Ginyu Saga: PL: 500,000 - He could have killed the entire Ginyu Force, even Captain Ginyu. (120,000)
Frieza Saga (and my favourite calculation): PL: 10,000,000 - TEN. MILLION. He could have killed Frieza in his first (530,000) , second (>1,000,000) or possibly third (I think it would be around 5,000,000) forms! He could have killed him with that Explosive Assault attack even without Piccolo standing in. And that's not even calculating for the power boost he got when he became angry!
Revenge Of Cooler: Since this takes place after Future Trunks' arrival (but before the Androids' arrival), power levels were determined obsolete, so I'm going to have to go out on a limb here. Gohan's power, in my humble opinion, would have increased by 1, 500 points by the time Cooler arrives, since Legacy of Goku 2 says they were only just beginning their training. Even so that puts his power level at 200,500, which makes his Super Saiyan form at 10,075,000. This wouldn't be enough to put Cooler in the ground (470,000,000) but it would be enough to kill Salza (170,000), Neiz (163,000) and Doore (185,000). But, if I had to guess, he would deal some good hits on Cooler before Goku stood in.

actually gohan had a power level of 3 mill in the cooler movie cooler's power level was 475mill
and gohan ssj would be 150mill goku was 10million in base at the start of the movie then got a zenkai that shot him up to 15mill when he wenk ssj he had a power level of 750mill while piccolo was 12million
krillin was 1mill
dore was 5mill
salza was 8 mill
and niez was 5mill
also frieza's third form had a power level of 2,4mill
@@professorintheworks382 Thanks for the assist! I don't always know the exact power levels since they went quickly out of style after the Frieza Saga. So I appreciate any and all help I can get divining power levels. Just as long as they're realistic according to the timeframe.

I think Goku and Vegeta will probably be much more equal on Namek, since Goku isn't injured and Vegeta retains his tail and isn't injured the likelihood of them training together in the gravity chamber on their way to Namek will fit better. Additionally, if Gohan and Krillin join them, then that's more opportunities for them to train under a higher gravity environment as well which increases the group's whole survivability chances, especially against the Ginyu Force.

Here's a nice one. "What if the Ginyu Force Became Good?"
This would be fun I imagine them joining the galactic patrol. Imagine resurrection f with jack poseing with the Ginyus
This would make... The Goku Black arc have an alternative resolution as well... Think about it, Ginyu overhears that someone stole Goku's body in the future *after they find out about Immortal Zamasu*, goes with them to said future, and goes against Black where upon he uses his Change now technique first on Goku Black *To weaken him by switching bodies so Goku and vegeta can keep him contained and from warning Zamasu, possibly even kill him*. Then, with Black's body Ginyu would take Zamasu's immortal body then uses it to kill this zamasu in his now mortal goku body*which this zamasu wouldn't be used to yet, ergo no SSJ, etc.* Dealing with both Black and Zamasu leaving Ginyu as the immortal protector of the Future :D I also believe the Ginyu force would helped bulma save the time machine documents from being destroyed later by Beerus and Whis, maybe even talk goku into having a little chat with the omni king about permitting Time Travel. Possibly even by suggesting a sort of... Time Patrol to prevent or Fix time disruptions by using the Super Dragon Balls. By using the Omni Button of course without Beerus or Whis from knowing *Goku could even be given a document with Zeno's royal seal of approval to stop Beerus in his tracks xD* Then after this happens, before Future Trunks and Mai go back they mention how hard it will be to fix the future without dragon balls upon which Guido would suggest "Why don't you just ask a Namekian to come with you to the future" Where they would then go to planet namek, get Dende's Brother and bring him to the future to revive the earth's dragon, and anything else needed xD

Let's say that would really screw up the whole entire time line thus being the end of the earth when Gohan can't beat buu and buu absourbs every fighter then absourbs God of destruction and e.t.c. then after absorbing Zeno he is the best then that's the end of the whole entire universes and the end of the franchise.

Technically speaking... idk. It probably depends. If it was a matter of infection/sickness from the wound(?), I’d call that natural causes (disease). But if it was blood loss, it could maybe be considered physical trauma, which would be kinda like manslaughter, not natural causes. Hm... good question.
Either way, kind of a darker what if, I don’t know if Masako would do it. Idk why he wouldn’t, though

Well I still think even namek Gohan was far too weak to go SS1, if you aren't on Namek Goku's level then it should be inaccessable to you.
However the fact that here gohan couldn't actually contain the energy SS1 creates, turning him into a rabbid ball of uncontrolable rage, is pretty interesting and its effects on the story are also. Nice going masako

I don't think he was too weak. Goten/Trunks are able to transform lol. They probably don't have power levels in the millions without transforming.

Gohan's power level according to the manga was 981 at that point in time. With the 50 times boost from Super Saiyan, that does indeed put it over 49,000 at 49,050

This is the first "what if" video I've seen for dbz and it really intrigues me. A what if scenario was clouding my mind for a while and it's this; "What if goku couldn't go super saiyan normally?" Kind of like how after the tournament of power goku can't activate ultra instinct on demand, what if super saiyan was like that? I enjoyed the vid btw, keep it up. :)

@Sith 90 they won't vegeta power level was 495, 000 even if ginyu becomes even a 10th of that he would be stronger then both of them
@Sith 90 well the thing here is goku had a power level od 180k due to kio Ken his actual power level was 90k when ginyu took his body it went down to around 40k probably due to the fact that rage gohan beat him down rather easily
As for vegeta his power is around 490k as he was able to hold of 1st form friza who's power level was 530 meaning vegeta should be at least close to that
@Sith 90 the problem is maintaining kio Ken requires great composure something ginyu did not have after gohan started to beat him down plus maintaining kio Ken takes a toll on a body even if its active for a short time

I feel like this can lead to a what if Vegeta turned good early, he is stuck on earth sooner than later, he is actually around Goku and Gohans positive attitudes more (you can't tell me that those two and Bulma had no effect on him turning good), all of this can lead to the Vegeta we got in Dragon Ball Super but as early as the late Android Saga to early Cell Saga! Ooh... I really liked this one! I would love to see a continuation of this story. While Gohan certainly would be a powerful ally for the Z Fighters, an emotionally unstable and naive Super Saiyan could really mess things up for Universe 7. Would Gohan wipe away Frieza's forces or cause absolute havoc in the future arcs?
I could see Gohan potentially going SSJ during the Namek saga as Bardock (non canon or not) went SSJ with a power level of 10k and Gohan was stronger than that during Namek, but during the Saiyan saga Gohan was around the power level of 1-2k.

Also chichi wouldn't be a hated character, she will just have the original Gohan with her and the other three clones would train and handle the fights. We wouldn't have any concern for Gohan unless things got so bad that the original left too fuse with the others too defeat the big bad guy of the saga
