Today I review the latest from Buchardt Audio. These P300's are the affordable version of the S400 MKII and they get nighty close to those beautiful speakers. Only three changes were made from the S400 MKII. Teh woofer, the speaker binding posts and the crossover.
These are in the same enclosure as the S400 MKII and use the same bass radiator in the back as well as the same tweeter. The P300 sell for $1500 and are the best $1500 speaker I have ever heard.
Enjoy.

Loved the intro. More of that please. Happy new year!!
A Nice review to cap off the year. Happy New years!
Happy new year!
Great review.. I have been watching the release on this. I really like the blue color version
That's all I need to know.
I'm getting these!
Wish you and your family a Healthy and Awesome 2023!
Please review the speakers with the Buchard Amp playing …
Happy new year!
Thanks!
Sounds like an interesting speaker. What brand were the stands for the LS3/5a you mentioned?
How do these speakers sound at low listening levels?
Thanks for the review and happy new year!!!
I'd like to know the same... for a desktop setting.?
I wonder how these speakers would compare to Bowers and Wilkins bookshelf speakers. The 685 s2 I own. They retailed for 650 dollars back in 2015 also I have a vintage adcom power amplifier at 60 watts and it’s high current.
Nice intro
How do they compare to the KEF LS50 Meta ?
How would you compare these to the Kef R3 Meta..which would you say was better.
Be kind, but my question is “can these be used for a home cinema as well?
Is 100Watts rms really necessary from 8-12 feet away?
These or the TL voyager with Thomas A amplifier?
Martin Logan Neolith Speakers
Do these play well at low to moderate volumes? Some stated the S400 MKII doesn't perform well at lower volumes so not well suited for my needs.
In that case the A500's wold be ideal for you. They play low well.
@@James-zu1ij Thanks.
I wonder what a head-to-head comparison of the P300 would be relative to the Amphion Argon One.
You will keep wondering until you do
Would these be a worthy upgrade coming from the Kef ls50 Meta?
A worthy upgrade for the LS50 meta is an S400mk2 or Argon 3s. Even then those are marginal. A real upgrade is Dynaudio 40 anniversaries.
A logical upgrade is a woofer for your LS50's or an upgrade in the front end(DAC)/investment in software (HQP License/Roon)
@@Maver1ck911 thank your for your insight. I’ve got a kc62 sub and a Roon nuc feeding a Technics SU-G700. I do like the Metas but it’s time to upgrade to the next Bookshelf league. Anything on your mind apart from the Dynaudio? Any recommendation would be much appreciated.
Are those Red Dawn speaker cables?
As far as I can see it’s Heimdall 2 😊
Musician Knight 1 for $1,500 + shipping can give these a hard competition, and they don't skimp out on woofer, cross-over or binding posts either...
Here they are $2K including shipping. For $1,500 how much is the shipping?
@@nc3419 Obviously around $500... :)
@@connorduke4619 I remember being quoted around $200 when these first came out. So $2K either way.
Halo Which Bluetooth amplifier can you recommend for the Buchardt P300?
Depends on your budget. This one would be the best combo "I150 Integrated Amplifier"
Hallo,
who is a Sound Check???
How do these compare to the Q Acoustics 3030i? I have those and many swear you don’t need a sub with them either. Which I laugh at. The 3030i have a nice and full low end, but sound anemic compared to having a sub. Come on!
The Q Accoustics 3030i are boring speakers... Wooly bass and rolled off treble see to that. These were found discounted shortly after being released due to unfavourable reviews
USA distributor?
They are sold direct from Buchardt. There are no dealers or distributors. That’s how the prices stay low.
Indonesia? Damnnn
I live in Indonesia, there's quite some quality hifi brand here, but you know.. as third world country we doesn't get enough appreciations, even just a slight spotlight.
I mean the A75
What is the max size of room you recommend? How do they perform compared to KEF R3?
Buchardt p 300 or Sonus Faber lumina ii
Made in Indonesia vs Made in Italy. You pick
@@jomphopburanasin8900 Thought they was made in China, is not only the sonus faber sonetto ( and up ) thats made in Italy? :)
and for you Foxx: well Buchardt also do have a 45 day return so you can hear them out and send them back if you dont like them ( 100 euro cost to send back though ) and they also have 10 year warranty :D. So alot of differance on both of them speakers.
Buchardt review on AEC... Personally I Prefer ELAC Uni-Fi Reference UBR62
AEC?
I think he means Audio Excellence Canada. They reviewed the Buchardt mkii a while back
@@jackfalco5351 Audio Excellence Canada
@@mattmarceau8156 Yes... They did 3 or more videos in total
And you listen to those clowns?
If you compare any thing made in China, this is ok priced.
Why should you buy p300 & integrated amp for $3500 when you could buy a500 for $4000
Because you can keep the amp in case you buy others speakers or use the amp with different speakers which can make sense for variety of music genres. Or the other way around, if you have passive speakers you can pair them with different amps in order to improve the sound to your needs or finding the best matching gear which can take years and is also fun trying different stuff.
Ahem. Jerrycan green. Straight from the Ukraine 😮😅😮😢
You call that affordable...i call that 1/4 of my monthly salary.
You call your weekly salary 1/4 of your monthly salary?? 🫤
@@erics.4113 I forgot there's 4 weeks in a month..lmao
Get over it. It's not that bad, and this coming from someone where those P300's are basically my whole monthly salary. Learn to save up you schmuck.
Cheap F...
1/4 of your monthly salary for something that would last a lifetime. You're just cheap or don't really care about sound quality. 😀
