Well the guy with no nose was interesting. But he was certainly accepted by his peers. I'm sure there's an interesting story there. As far as the racing, even the warm up lap was rough. And when they spun out in the first turn they looked like drunk drivers. There was really only one driver who knew how to drive. But the two green & white cars gave it a good go for a few laps. You can change the steering ratio in the radio control units so they're not so sensitive. The cars are seriously cool though and very realistic as far as scale. It would be great to see about ten of those cars race with drivers who really knew how to drive them.
@@thatsmyrc that was the first thing I saw, I was like did Skeletor move to New Zealand and stop working out? but either way, he seems accepted by his peers and he doesnt let it stop him, so good deal.
Me too! Wow, I was so crossed up as a beginner.; you would think me completely stoned and wobbly drunk the way I drove! At least RC cars don't fly head-on into the ground like aircraft. :-)😝
Such angry people. This looks awesome. If you don’t know what a sprint car is or what they drive like, you can’t appreciate how difficult these would be to control.
TinyT 1) Outlaws are driven on a blue grooved clay track, not sand. 2) these things should be pushing 15-20 horse at 1/4 scale. They're running maybe 3 horse air cooled zenoahs. 3) if they can't handle these vastly underpowered models, how in the hell are they champions ? A bone stock baja would have quicker lap times.
This is the older generation of special Olympians! The only difference is age and the use of remote controls. Just kidding, I love them all though! *_I will make it a point to get an RC car next year, on my 60th birthday! I will go to the track the next day and spend the entire racing time recovering from spin-outs, rolls, and flips!_* The other racers will spend some time cursing me for running into them!
why they not set up to crab? there going round anticlockwise so really I'd want it set up to go sideways! all you need is a bigger wheel on the outside and the car will want to turn in all the time (crabbing) witch is what you want and you Be able to get full throttle round the bends without spinning out but I tell ya now if these guys can't drive them this way they'll never be able to drive it set up to turn left all the time lol! but do it and you'll be cornering like a champ!
True if your racing circle tracks or ovals you set the car up to turn left where you're fighting to keep it straight on the straights. To corner the driver simply let's the car go sort of and it turns itself.
Tony A , this is false to a extent, anything you do in one size and exactly the same in the smaller size will have the same effect, however it’s effected by weight and how the car is controlled whether driver or controller
If they had proper clay or something close to that those cars would have gone really well. The dirt was still loose and dry even after the roller went around. No grip and suspension set up for dirt track is no match for off road conditions.
A nice idea, but it seems like everything is just slightly wrong. The cars, the drivers, the dirt..... The cars are just not stable enough. The track is slightly too small and way too slick and rough And the drivers: well...not the best eh? Electric probably works better for this type of racing as well.
Roy Mariano these things are vastly underpowered. In order to be realistic they'd need to be running 70cc o'neil brothers (or other highly midified rcmk twins). These things need 10+ horse to be able to really run like the big boys.
I just saw a dude with no nose.....either way, still cool and good for him
Yes... this is what i have been waiting for..thank you RUclips! it does exist!!!
Awesome guys and looks like a lot of fantastic fun.

lol
no nose good eyes I had to double take the begining to catch it lol

I am going to go out on a limb and guess, this isn't exactly the nations best.
I started to get a bit suspicious when none of them could get around just one circuit without crashing. And the track is just a ring lol.
I remember my first rc car
Me too! Wow, I was so crossed up as a beginner.; you would think me completely stoned and wobbly drunk the way I drove! At least RC cars don't fly head-on into the ground like aircraft. :-)😝
COOL VIDEO!!
THAT IS SUPER COOOOOOOOOOOL! NICE GOING GUYS!!!
I live right down the street from giant rc in peebles ohio. Weird to find a car in Australia with his sponsorship.

So much for track prep
Hi guys, just trying o find out what the size and type of tube frames are used, please include wall thickness if you know. Thanks
When will they do fpv races like this
Awesome cars. They look cool racing around the track. How much do they weigh? They look kind of heavy.
Won by a nose didnt he......straight to hell for me I guess.
Why waste all that time lining up when they just crash first thing anyway?!
Being from Down Under, it would just be a reason to hang with the lads and drink some cold ones. On ya boys!
looks like a guy that decided a jet was going to be his first plane
I know that guy at the beginning! Jimmy! And the giant rc is my grandpas company everyone should check him out in the states.
Ok that's actually pretty cool
and how cool would it be to put a go pro or a camera like a drone has n race em looking at screen..

Try FPV on these ,,,it’s a whole Nother experience
These aren't quarter scale. Maybe if you're on the metric system. Everywhere else they're 1/5 scale.
sweat shorts and rubber boots lol
I have a Traxxas Slash that would flog them all.
On the sprint car why does it say Australia 🇦🇺 but it has a 🇺🇸 flag on
Mustang Boyy because Australia is junior America.
Boggety boggety let's go racin boys...🏁🏁🏁
Ooh really !
I remember my first time around the track 😂
Looks like 1980s technology

Show!
That noseless guy's story must be amazing
why you being nosey
@@jamesbeatty2203 💀
Track should have a longer stretch because those engines hit the powerband later in acceleration. They are not low torque motors by far my
.02!
Some things in RC just don't scale well from there full size counterparts.
Tony A , this is false to a extent, anything you do in one size and exactly the same in the smaller size will have the same effect, however it’s effected by weight and how the car is controlled whether driver or controller
Id love to own 1 of those cars 👍
2:04 what is he wareing
Boots and short shorts 😂
PETTY PUNISHING TO HAVE 10 MIN OF AN OLD GUY IN A COWBOY HAT BEFORE THEY GO
Yes I did
dangggg.....those must be going at least.....8 mph.
Is this the novice class? Wow!! Haha!!
Hey its crocodile Dundee
Pas un qu'i réussi a faires de beau tour de piste .
Not for nothing, but an 8yr old with a 2wd slash running a brushed motor would have lapped these guys at least 3 times.

This would be good Jr sprint track
Kooper Shuhart kelly no it wouldnt jrs drive on the exact same tracks as seniors
I was expecting it to be more impressive lmao dissapointed

Good
Wonder if that guy even nose how to drive 🤔🤣
LMFAO!!!!!!

I bet half of the viewers missed that
Poo bear from salton sea
I don't even know if he sniffed the podium
Only two cars had any buisness being in that race
DON'T look then!

That was an embarrassment. Absolutely pitiful if this is representative of NZ.
Hi
Big kids
Just like real life. Crash after crash 😴 waiting on a real class to pull in

fun to watch but Nitro are faster

You are wrong
You are stoped
Need 2 water the track boys traction
WOAH THAT DUDE HAD NO NOSE AT 1:57! gross
Two guys who nose what they are doing (sort of) The other can afford the hobby, but should maybe practice more.
That was the first time
That guy had no nose
Track is too sandy!
This is why you should not drink and drive.
You guys cant drive LOL
Dirt??
So slow...
Gabriel Cheung slow?!!
Qualifying does not mean you are qualified....
Too bad only two of the drives are halfway decent too many ass and hops on the track get the bumps out boys
Seriously....?????
As much money you put in toys. You can race a real car.
Pretty neat...rather see traditional, non- wing RC sprinters, though...
