I like the slower speed of the fuel powered cars. The electric ones are a bit like watching a housefly buzz around the room.

I'm not into RC but I like this scale and format the most. I think they look the most realistic.

I tried out a mini RC. It's just as hard as you think. They aren't cheap either. The one I tried out was $220 to start. These are probably north of $500. Definitely more.

How incredible it would be if you could now use the vision through VR so your racing it as your seeing on screen and feeling like you're actually driving! Surely that should be a thing now possibly 🤔
It is, drones are mostly operated with goggles, but what any RC driver or pilot is going to tell you is that watching from the stand is way harder then seeing it from first person, and most of really good plane pilots have started flying with rc planes, not the real ones. Because it is way harder and it is better to develop a feeling for flying. Even 5 times F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton started by driving RC cars.

Is there a version of this yet where the drivers have VR headsets seeing through the windshield or similar?
i dont think so, the vibrations are so much, that i dont think it would help. The weight of an fpv system that can handle the vibrations on an rc car of any size is not worth the advantage that one might gain. The drivers have learned to drive like this and fpv would probably not help considering the weight.

I've driven rc cars as a kid. The control inputs are very small. It's takes practice. They can probably be customized today. 🤷♂️
get an FPV camera system like we use on our drones and that will be a game changer for sure
great idea but it would need to have some sort of stability on the camera as even though the tarmac looks smooth, with the vibrations etc I can imagine it'll make for a blurry picture .🤔😊
