Never thought about running the fabric all the way up the back of the wall, keeps the dirt from leaking through cracks of the bricks. Great idea.

Hi guys. The material you are using. Is it just as good as the sock style they sell in Bunnings ?

Yeah, but it would be helpful for you to tell us how or what to do with the end of the drainage pipe. All the experts say how important it is for drainage but where does to water go????

You can direct out with solid pipe all the way out to the street or you can have corrugated pipe soak an open field.

!00% Wrong.....Never use landscaping cloth between dirt and the gravel, The cloth will load up and stop the water from going though the cloth and the hydraulics will push the wall out. Total failure.

  • @blueocean99908

you have a concrete wall at the back? you are not retaining anything nor weight... you don't need the drainage and gravel....It's ridiculous..

This is just a example when installing a drainage system for a retaining wall. I don't agree with using a non geo fabric. It will cause water to build up behind the wall causing a total failure and collapse of the wall.
