Hey blank! I hope you're reading this. You don't need to do weight painting for bending arms. Just go to the edit mode and add vertices/edges on the mesh from where you want it to bend. The more vertices/edges, the smoother the bend is gonna be. Takes not more than 2 minutes.
i saw this vid a couple months back, and since like last year ive wanted to learn blender, this just made me want to learn it more! i dont have a laptop, but i think i might be able to convince my parents to get me one for video production/blender!
I've NEVER seen such an effective use of a teaser in ANY medium before this. I had already liked and subscribed, but NOW I need to know what happened lol. KUDOS
I just found out your channel and, as a beginner animator and artist, I find this amazing! You actually made me want to give a chance to learning blender
after watching this video 6 times i finaly gave it a try and i just not good at modeling and rigging. and even though u didnt really teach how to use blender this was still inspiring
i love how you just started a project and used RUclips and google to fill in the knowledge gap your a true self starter you'll do great things as a creator and entrepreneur
i know an alternative way to animate blank's face it is something called an Alpha channel. Alpha channels are like flat planes as a transparent mesh with a texture applied to the front. (it's an option if you want to change the facal look)
This video is dope !!! It’s 2 am and I can’t sleep and I’m hooked on this video .. can’t seem to turn it off and go to bed , if you’re reading this fabulous storytelling ❤
2:27 I felt the same way with Photoshop until I finally took a course and started from the absolute beginning and not trying to do the "sexy" stuff like blend/masks. start with the fundamental tools and keep learning and iterating. now any program doesn't scare me it might be overwhelming but I don't have the " I Can't " function enabled. so a long winded thanks for this video because I always looked at character modeling as something I can't tackle.
I just started learning today and coincidentally this video was in my recommendations! This video is so inspiring and motivating and I tried doing the character model tutorial too!! Love the video! I also subscribed to see your journey and I'm excited to see what's ahead! Also thank you :]
You inspired me to pick up blender again... this time I am gonna give my best!! This video was amazing! you are gonna blow up soon just keep working hard you deserve a sub
yea man i am doing an animation too and holy moly its killing me , but what I know is when you get to know what you are doing it becomes "less frustrating" cuz you wont go around searching for answers and at the same time will take less time . and lastly congratulations on your character!
man for a 412 subs (which i recently subbed) and with this amount of views, this video alone is just amazing, i would love to see more of this type of style in your content!
this is so relateable. i havent tried rigging or weight painting yet, but I've been intimidated enough by uv wrapping and topology to really finish a rig and have just been making simple character models
This video is of great quality, you can see the details in the character animation and everything, this is a great job, and I think if you keep it up you will grow your community more and more
Heya, thanks for inspiring me to install Blender! I've been trying to teach myself a bunch of different aspects for 2 days, and thanks to your recommendations I have gotten pretty good at it!
I feel your pain with weight painting but I learned recently when messing around in blender that you can weight paint by assigning vertex groups to points in edit mode it will be fully weighted but you can just use the blur tool in weight paint mode to smooth it out a bit hope that helps if you ever need to make a model and weight it again.
I used that same tutorial by Pixxo 3D and somehow had too many vertices that were not meant to be there and wasn't able to fix it, even with Ctrl + Z. I am trying to get back into blender by watching this.
Luved your video :D as someone that is currently trying to learn blender (although it's mostly just the grease pencil part) this was very nice to see~ thank you & keep up the great content! ^^
Im also trying to create my own characters and animations on and off for around 2 years but i felt alone but this made me reassured that im not alone! I recommend to use auto rigging alternatives like mixamo or accurig its super easy!
"Something I had full access to, but never gave much time" This is literally me right now! I've using blender for around 4 years now. That sounds like a lot but if I count the time I've procrastinated, I doubt I've even spend 24 hours if I combine my work time. I've started with a character and I think that was my mistake. I've always gave up midway.
Ooooh this is great! Could you also share how you incorporate your blender character into your videos too? I've been trying to figure that one out for myself too...
these is amazing but as a person who loves animation i have some tips for you and by some i mean only 1 if you are going for a cartoony cel-shaded look the sets should also be cel-shaded for consistency
this is one of the most underrated videos I've seen in a long time! it reminds me of irrational mango or pinoprime's animations! I recently started my blender journey (though in game dev, not animations) so I had a lot of fun watching this. I can't wait to see the future stuff you upload! keep up the great work :D
I guess I was the same as you. I would open up Blender and give up 15 minutes later lol and every time i would look up tutorials i would skip over that tutorial that helped you a lot because I thought I could find a better one. I guess I should try the ones I dont like then
Exactly happening with me, opening blender making some random stuff and close in 10 min. I am switching from 3ds max, blender is very fast and beat max in every aspect when you want to make a project from scratch but as all available models, shaders and tutorials are from 3ds max especially for archviz so it is a very hard switch, trying for 2 years.
I've been learning Blender for a year now, and man, it's been a journey of mixed emotions, lol. Currently, I'm learning character animation, and it's frustrating, but I can definitely master it with alot of practice! It just takes time. Have you used the NLA editor in Blender? Awesome vid too, SUBBED!!
Love your process ❤ i learnt alot from you. I am learning low poly design and animations. Can you do a video on ANIMATION process it will help me alot!! Thankyou ❤❤
opening up blender without watch a video and not having any knowledge will make it look really hard because its all shortcuts and without knowing any of the shortcuts it would seem impossible to learn... and i highly suggest you to get addons that will make it easier for UV unwrapping and other stuff
for me its easier to parent to empty groups and then in EDIT mode just select and assign the weight manually, you could also just parent with automatic weights like most people do and then fix them in EDIT mode
I tried the doughnut tutorials. I gave up. It took hours and hours a day and quite a few of those days at that. And I wasn't even close to getting through half of the tutorials! Sigh... looks like I will never have a finished doughnut. 😥 But that doesn't mean I've given up on blender though... Just one thing I've found by the way: if you're struggling with blender, I've found that basic mechanical machines and machine parts tend to be much easier to create even though they look more complicated! I think that's cool because you've just made something that looks more impressive with a lot less stress and frustration and you've actually enjoyed it. Therefore it gives you the motivation and inspiration to keep going so that you eventually have enough practice and experience to start doing the more complicated stuff like humans, animals, plants etc, etc... Just a little tip for everybody out there who needed that extra little bit of guidance! p.s. I still have given up in the past on and off with blender, and am sure will have those moments in the future, but yesterday I started on a project with - you guessed it - a mechanical object. (robot arms to be precise) And have got my motivation back! So don't give up! Keep trying! Anything is possible if you put your heart and mind to it! ❤💪 Edit: 608th subscriber
adding the cube after deleting the cube means you've reached true blender enlightenment
