- Cold Spring Tavern was established as a stagecoach stop in 1865.[ Originally known as the "Cold Spring Relay Station", it was a horse changeover and meals break station. The tavern is located 20 minutes north of Santa Barbara, California in Cold Spring Canyon, which is about a mile off Highway 154 along Stagecoach Road (in the San Marcos Pass area).
The tavern serves steak, lamb, venison, duck, and rabbit.

Drove by it yesterday, and on a foggy day it is amazingly beautiful there.
Very special place beneath the trees
We went last weekend and loved it - your video was very helpful, thanks!
Great video. I grew up in Oxnard and never heard of this place. I will definitely be taking my family to visit this place. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video Chris! It was really cool to learn the history of Cold Springs Tavern.
Thank you! It gives you a whole new perspective. Who knew?
One summer we used to stay in paradise walley on paradise road and we used to visit here 2 -3 timmes a week, still looks all the same 🙏🌞❤️
Wow Chris very cool place. Wish I could go. Reminds me of places my dad took us too on our long weekend drives. Thanks for sharing. I’m surprised they let you video so not to let this place be known about. 🌸
Cold Springs Tavern is well known, just a little off the beaten path. One of my favorites. I've managed a few other videos lined up so stay tuned!
This is an old video! Not that way anymore. A two to four hour wait for seating. Tri-Tip was dry and tough. After the storms the road was not repaired so some cars were stuck off the side of the road. Parking went on for miles. The bikers were the only ones that had a spot to park and there were an abundance of them.
"Cold Spring Tavern," not Cold SpringS. Please correct your title.
Noted, thank you! And I call my self a local? lol
