The thumbnail is absolutely adorable. The Traveling Princess' pink dress is so pretty She certainly dressed for the occasion 😊. All of the food looked delicious , especially the Cajun food.
As usual, a fantastic video highlighting the best of Santa Barbara! I’ve been trying to convince my twins to apply to college there. Back in the day (when Common Sense was still rocking Isla Vista) it wasn’t too tough but now, oof! 😊
Great video Chris I lived in Santa Barbara for a while and there is a great municipal pool right near the beach for those who like swimming laps called Los Baños.
Santa Barbara looks really nice! I like those views from the top of the tower at the courthouse. I never knew sea urchin would look so tasty. I will need to try one someday!
Humor on point. Glad you took your daughter to the Moxi museum, it is really cool for young kids. The Natural History museum is also nice for kids, with a small planetarium. Rory’s ice cream is another good ice cream place, in the Santa Barbara Market building.
@@YellowProductions Oops, I think autocorrect changed the spelling. It is Rori's in the Santa Barbara Public Market on the corner of Chapala and Victoria. Also, there is a cool, castle type playground in Alameda Park that the Princess would love. Maybe you too, haha!
Love your videos. Born and raised in Santa Barbara. Love my hometown!!! I think most locals will agree that Santa Barbara is part of the Central Coast and not Southern California

Cute video. We drive down from SF with our pup for our annual no-brainer getaway. The town is so charming and dog friendly. We always stay at the Hotel Californian due to its awesome location by the beach and the funk zone.
The McConnell’s ice cream is delicious! We spent 2 nights in Santa Barbara on our recent California Road Trip in May - we loved it! It was our first visit to California from the UK & we found lots of your vlogs very helpful. Thank you 😍
@@itzyogirl100 we stayed at the the Motel 6 Classic in SB - it’s nothing like any other Motel 6 I’ve seen & it’s all done really retro & colourful. It’s also in a great location & a short walk to the beach
@@oshaba12I never heard of it either but it’s true. It happened in 1925 and destroyed much of downtown. My parents moved there in the early 60’s and I was born at Goleta Valley Hospital in 1968.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the wonderful video. I always thought that Santa Barbara was a more upscale area. But it seems to be a pretty laid back area to visit. The food is amazing. I love that seafood market at the harbor. I envied you eating those fresh sea urchins. If I'm in the area. I will definitely check out the seafood for sure. Take care.
Local here. I know you are from San Diego because you skipped the biggest segment of our local food diet; Mexican Food. So people not from So-cal, may want to experience when visiting (I get that the seafood is more local) Great Video!! I have seen all of the things you mentioned, but it was amazing that you came when you could experience them all for one video.
There's so much to do in Santa Barbara. You missed showing the turtle fountain and hidden passages in the shopping/theater districts. You definitely could spend another day there. We did many things on our trips too. So much to cover there. From the train depot, art museum, museum of natural history, the Santa Barbara botanical gardens, Mission Rose Gardens, the orchid nurseries, the Santa Barbara historical museum, and the free karpeles manuscript Library/museum, the adobe, carriage museum. Ive visited Santa Barbara 4 times. The Four Seasons used to have an amazing Christmas holiday lobby display, but it's been closed for awhile. Your video was insightful too and covered a lot, but you would probably need to stay a week in Santa Barbara to see everything..did you go to the Sacred place in summerland?
Have you been to the Sacred space yet? It's a gift store with an enchanted garden that makes you feel like you are in Thailand or Bali. Hope you can/were able to visit.
For that Saturday morning fresh seafood, its not ALMOST fresh off the boat, its actually directly off the boat. We arrive there about 3am and takes us a couple hours to get things setup. You wont get any fresher anywhere in the world. - A Commercial Crabber in the area. Also McConnells flagship spot was on mission street, they only moved downtown recently.
Right on projectdelta! No comment about "almost" fresh off the boat is it would be kind of cool to have a pier where the seafood could actually be sold from the boat :)
We stayed at the Hotel Virginia and enjoyed it. We've also stayed at the Doubletree on the beach and that was nice. Those are the only two I have personal experience with
fun fact, the purple sea urchins are actually an invasive species in the santa barbara coast and are growing at such a fast rate that they're actually negatively affecting the offshore ecosystem lol so eat all the pruple sea urchins you can!!!
I was getting gas and looking for a place to park my RV for a minute. it was 3 am so I am tired. every single person I talk to has some sort of opinion about politics and how the world works and they are very vocal about it ( from the homeless person to the gas attendant and the security guard that kick me out of the parking lot.)

Sea urchin looks like rambutan the fruit 😋
I'm an Australian who was there in 2017, driving from San Fran to LA. Stayed at the Beachside Inn. Beautiful, little town. Seemed very liveable.
