I always attach to a harness, even on my larger dogs. Otherwise, using this responsibly has been so much better than a long line.
i have a question, can i attach the extra rope peice to the harness ?
I love this leash its really good I've had retractable leashes before and were junk but this is a really good quality leash i recommend

Does anyone actually do this? You can seriously hurt your dog's neck if you combine a long leash with a collar. long leashes should only ever be attached to a harness.

The purpose of the safety collar (or the safety loop) is to avoid the tape rebounding, which may result in injuries.
(In addition to the dog collar, always use the safety loop provided. Should the collar snap, the safety loop avoids the cord or the tape rebounding, which may result in injury.)
Same here! I only had these kind when they were given to me, I didn't use w my last 2 pups as we lived in the country, our driveway about .5mi long so they had reg leashes as they typically ran free around the yard, I recently bought one though for my new and lil guy since I'm in the city now and can let him run safely... didn't even know about the safety collar... No one I know uses them and most ppl I know have that type. I actually googled it to see and that's how I found this video!
How accurate is the weight limit? say i have a 60kg leash on a dog that weighs 64 kg, will this be a problem? Or is the weight limit just a ballpark?
Hi Darmo. Thank you for your question; the weight limits are typically listed as the maximum weight the leash can hold, however, we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly to be sure.
Could you use an extra safety harness on the hook of the leash and just loop the harness material around the collar hookup - so you’d have an extra six inches of replaceable leash your dog could chew into before destroying the leash?

This is confusing AF. Why not just attach it to the D ring? My dog's harness has two D rings. Aside from that safety collar, I love this leash for my dog.
I'm here to see also what's that safety piece about. I think it's only relevant for the use of a collar and not suitable for harness use.

When I am walking 2 the field with my 🐕 s I always put them on a normal lead. And swap it over in the field. Never use them on the pavement. Even if it's locked

No you shouldn't train with them Until the dog can walk properly. Then use them
Yeah dummy, you need to condition your dog to any piece of equipment. My dog has a perfect heel and release word on Flexi. You can definitely train with it. You prob don’t have any leash handling skills, but if you learn the Flexi is easy to master.

thats not the products fault. that’s literally just the stupidity of the owner and a untrained dog. if you have a dog thats behaved, trained and will listen to you on commands then the leash is amazing. its just that its used by the wrong people that want their dog to feel ‘free’ despite not being trained. overall, i think you can train with it with the proper methods. you’re just clearly uneducated.

@@ChessieCat100 Reason is that some folks like to have their dog on a long (flexi) leash and it tangles up with people that have their dog walking on their standard leash. They have no control. Sadly when walking a dog, some other owners simply do not care about other people and their dogs. We see dogs all over the place, some not leashed, some on long lines, some on flexi leashes, most not behaved. Ask yourself the same question you posted "Why do people need control over their dog but a short leash?...." Why not !
