    I would recommend getting another hide and maybe try a heat mat underneath besides the heat lamp. Otherwise it looks really nice! :)

      @@Axtacy that could change anytime. And just because you can’t see physical violence, doesn’t mean your animals aren’t actually under a lot of stress and competition for warmth or food. Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not there. Leopard geckos that have been housed together and been fine sometimes have snapped and ended up fighting, or even killing each other. It is best for your animal if they are alone, otherwise they will just be under unseen stress and competition.

    Not bad job with the habitat heat mats are better than heat lamps in the wild they come out at night so they are not used too heat lamps and if they have any recessive jeans in them the light from the heat lamp could harm there eyes but other than that you did a great job I recently did my own leopard gecko setup

    Ok, so I know this video is 5 months old but I had some concerns that you may have already addressed but browsing through your channel I didn't see another video on it.
    First I would like to say, I absolutely love how much you seem to care about your animals and are willing to look into improving their living space!
    So, many of the following may already be in the comments but these were just my concerns.
    First and foremost, the habitat- a 20 gallon tank is basically the minimum size for one full grown gecko. Many people do suggest larger ones such as 40 gallon tanks so maybe after a while look into another upgrade. Secondly, all of that moisture really concerned me. I do not remember the exact suggested humidity percentages but PLEASE look it up and get a humidity meter if you don't already have one. These geckos mainly come from desert areas and don't have super moist climates in their natural habitat. Another concern I have is your heating lamp. While they are very good for some reptiles they are not always recommended for leopard geckos because it can cause burning. I would highly suggest a heat mat and a thermometer so you can closely monitor the heating. Leopard geckos require a warm and cold side of the tank for thermoregulating! This means the temp on both sides will need to be monitored at all times. If you do want to replace the light woth a normal light I suggest putting the light on the warm side so there is both a temp and light gradient. As for what should be inside the tank never use sand like substrates as they are harmful to all leopard gecks and ingestion can cause issues. Also avoid substrates with wood chips since when pouncing to catch a cricket one could pierce their gullet and kill them. Three hides are also suggested. A cool hide, a warm hide, and a moist hide. Moist hides are for shedding and don't necessarily need to be present at all times so you can make them out of small disposable containers and cut a hole in the side. Male sure plastic isn't sharp- you can put hot glue over it, sand it, or burn it down with a lighter seeing as you are an adult. I do like what you have done with the tank in terms of decoration so far, especially the hammock but if you haven't already please think about the things I mentioned. Also think about adding some plants- they do not have to be costly or real. I got six fake succulents at the dollar store for a dollar each that were made with soft plastic that wasn't sharp so just look for some deals like that :)
    My next concern is the fact that you have two leos in one tank. So firstly- if they're males its likely that will fight. If they are a male and female the male may assert dominance and constantly pester the female for mating even if she isn't matured enough for it. Even if it's two females there are housing concerns. They may fight over hides or food. Overall it's best for them to be housed separately.
    I'd greatly appreciate it if you replied to let me know if you've already made any of these changes. I hope you enjoy your time with the geckos :)

      @MrRod317 3 года назад

      Heat lamps aren't bad for leopard geckos unless you put the right distance
      They are actually one of the best heating for them
      But everyone says sand is bad but really
      It's not bad unless you u use a mix of it and keep the gecko healthy
      I like how you say *so first* two times

    • @shinagmi
      @shinagmi 3 года назад

      @@MrRod317 no don’t use sand at all. It does not matter what’s in it. They do not come from a sandy dessert like most people think, they come in a area with a lot of rocks, and they live between said rocks. I would use paper towels for beginners. Please don’t go around and spread false info that could really hurt a animal if someone listens, make sure to do ALOT of research before getting any type of pet. Even though this leopard gecko may be really easy to keep it still has requirements for it and it still has some things that you need to listen to. Please please do a lot of research before getting any pet that includes this one even though they are labeled is really easy for beginners.

      Please stop with the mealworm comments. They are not the best. They aren’t very nutritious and don’t give them the enrichment of hunting, they are slow and barely move. Leopard geckos should always be fed a VARIETY, not just one thing. Crickets, locusts and roaches are the best, with some different varieties of worms. I feel bad for your gecko if you feed them only mealworms
