2012 W212 wagon first owner. Runs and looks like new and Mercedes is going to replace the rear subframe on warranty this summer. I'll buy the complete attachment kit to make a new rear end. Its going to cost me the same as the largest annual maintenance for a completely new rear suspension. I'm calling that a great deal. The reliability of the car has been 100%. I get drive by offers weekly from fans of the model and used car dealers. I cannot sell a car in this condition for the median price of the model year. Its value to me is far higher than that. Had I beat the car to death and never maintained it then it would be a different story.

I wanted a custom wheel but all I can find is aftermarket wheels. Fancy and expensive but not at all what I want. I wrote to several of the manufacturers but they will not do it. It seems that the word custom has changed meaning over the years.
Does this car have the "global open" feature? My E55 would open all of the windows and sunroof if I held the unlock button, and then close them all by holding the lock button on the remote.
Start the car, roll the window down, get out of the car, lock the doors through the open window, then hit the window up button and move your arm out of the way. The window will go up and the doors will stay locked. The key fob shouldn't unlock the doors after though, you need to pull out the physical key from the bottom of the key fob and put it in under the door handle. It might also need more than one twist to unlock.
I use the brake hold all the time. Easily one of the best mercedes features for everyday use.

I have only tried locking doors well car was running when there was someone in the car.
