Mark, I had a very dear friend who was a member of SASS "Single Action Shooters Society" He was buried in a casket like this only it was Black Walnut with a Curly Maple Lid. He built the casket himself 5 years before his death. I miss you Frank Looney....
Nice video, sir! I am a former carpenter / cabinet builder. I built a 3’ long Halloween coffin for my son 30 years ago. He loved it and actually got inside of it. We still have it. Thanks for sharing!
I'm John Ruth is my wife. I'm a trained lumber grader. I like the sawmill videos but skipped over the shop videos. But what I found out is that the shop videos are equally and sometimes more interesting to watch.
Well, it might just be a Halloween coffin to you but it is almost perfect for me to be planted in. I've been on the look out for how to make your own coffin and I found your videos pt1 &2 and you have made things so much clearer for me. Shame I don't have the luxury of having your tools but I'm definitely going to use your videos as a guide to build mine. I'll be making mine out of hardwood veneered ply wood to make things easier for me though. I'm looking forward to it and some times when life throws you lemons make margaritas Thank you
Love the channel! There’s something really satisfying about watching the sawmill, and the transformation of boards from a big ol log! I like the occasional project or tour as well. Where’d that big sign that has the beaver with the hammer come from come? It’s pretty cool.
Great job on the coffin. What a perfect project for the time of month/year! I also couldn't help to notice the vintage holiday lights hanging from the ceiling. Maybe your next project can be a Santa and Reindeer made from roughcut pine? Turn the lights on for inspiration. :)
Are those Xmas lights draped from side to side in the shop. I see you favor a Fast Cap left/right read tape measure. Handy rascal to hang on your pocket.
Great looking coffin. Did you try it on for size.? It seems a bit small for you, or is it meant for someone else? Thanks for sharing this insightful set of videos. Wishing you and your family a safe Halloween weekend. Peace brother.

I’m thinking about using Red Cedar & Blue Spruce, it’ll be the only 1 ever made, especially since it’s for my own funeral.

thanks David.
You make this look so easy. Thanks for posting.
thanks glad you liked it.
Great video! I can see you are a master cabinet builder. Nothing but envy here.
thanks Mac.
Good job Mark. I never knew that about coffins and caskets. Bela Lugosi would approve, except for the crucifix, that would set him off!
thanks glad you liked it.
@@markgalicic7788 Thank YOU! The tube is playing it's silly games again. Keep on speaking for the turtles!

Where’d that big sign that has the beaver with the hammer come from come? It’s pretty cool.
thanks John , the busy beaver is a sign from a home improvement store.
looks really good Mark, the walnut cross really finishes it off.
