Is a "scoop kick" the same as a "hook kick" or is that somthing else. I can't seem to get any straight information on it, though I am sure I have seen it mentioned 2 or 3 times before. One of those edge of your memory kind of things. Hook and scoop seem like similar verbs and it made me think of it.

Question! I've been working on using it as a counter to roundhouse and have noticed high level guys tend to scoot that back leg towards their opponent to cover more distance. Can you show this at some point in the future? I can't seem to get the balance down for it.

The hogu is a size 5 - it's just what we had extra at the school but I think something as small as a size 3 would fit as well. The headgear I believe is a large, hope that helps!

Alex, do you move forward when doing the spinning hook kick? I have a little trouble with balance and developing momentum while winding my arms back.
