- I cooked some basic Costco beef ribs on the fabulous Summit Kamado.
No fancy thermometers, no wrapping, just simple and effective.
I think they came out rather good- what do you think.

Thanks for watching. Barbecue ON!
Hi, great video 👌
Im just looking into buying a smokey mountain but now ive seen this its got me wanting one 😂
I see youve had a smokey mountain so im interested in your opinion on whether the summit is as good as the smokey mountain at cooking ribs ect, do you get a really good smokey flavour with the summit?
Hi Ash thanks for watching. Whilst the Smokey Mountain is very much a pure smoker, and will smoke food as well as the Summit (albeit is harder to set up, and not as efficient so uses more fuel), the Summit is in a different league. The Summit is just an amazing all round BBQ- from smoking, grilling and high temp cooking. Could not recommend enough. Save up and get one, it will last you a lifetime anyway.
See some of my other Summit videos, I did a pulled pork on a more recent one.
Thanks for the reply, I currently have a pellet smoker which I love but I'm wanting a more intense smoke flavour like an offset but without the time needed to babysit an offset, does the summit give a good smoke flavour?
@@396032 yeah it is decent. I doubt as much as an offset, but Smokey Mountain doesn’t either.
If its on par with the smokey mountain I'd be happy. You've given me a real decision to make now 😂
I’m on my way around 😋
Look good and great video. My opinion...just watch the mic when eating 😊
Ha ha yes I should mute it.
