it made and packed in Kazakhstan) On the bottom of the MRE written "Made in Republic of Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan region, Semey". I am living in this city, Semey
On the all of this food written on 2 languages. Kazakh and russian, because russian is a second language.
Very interesting
Интересно в Семске на Мясике реально купить парочку таких штук на рыбалку ?
да
Моро Channel Адрес? контакты явки? пароли? )))
Real Kazakhstan MRE come with live chicken and bottle of gypsy tears.
and some horse meat for real gourmands
And a kilo of horse meat sausage!
Kazakhstan? How interesting! Also, you mixing up the ragu and pate cans was quite so entertaining for a Russian to watch! Looks very tasty though.
Dare to be Different! HAHA! Cheers!
I love these exotic mystery meal type reviews, btw Rory says "hey" to Gator
I can't resist..... "It's niiiice!"
+Kiwi Dude It waaaas! lol
i'm from Kazakstan but its looool
My name is a Borat, your ration, how much? I like.
Kiwi Dude woah KIWI DUDE IS IN DA HOUSE!!!!!!!
this a cool ration love your work gundog you and kiwi dude
Nice to see thank you Gundog.
The lunch "kasha" was a buckwheat and diner was millet. That is surprising since all of that region have rice based diet. Where Russia depends on grain as carbohydrate component. Millet especial significant component for Russian army menu. We called it "дробь 16" bird shot 16, Reference to size of bird shot that similar in size to millet grain.
+Yan “yankl” Portnoy Позорник перловку от пшена не можешь отличить :)
+Dmitriy Novytsky согласен
it is not packed in russia its packed in kazakhstan smipalatinsk wich is printed on the package as well as on the meat cans
Love your vids gundog!
Thanks for posting the video despite the technical difficulties, it was enjoyable none the less.

I understand your liver comment. At home we never ate 2 common meats: liver and lamb. So into adulthood never had any real taste for it.
Now that I'm in the UK (where they seem to eat quite a lot of lamb compared to the eastern coast of Canada) I have it quite often and have developed a taste for the stuff.
Liver I'm still a bit iffy on. I have it all the time as yakitori in Japan, but don't like it enough to go out of my way and have it... I still remember my worst liver experience (which doesn't help liking the stuff). While at a conference in Grenoble, the opening day wine and cheese party had a foie gras, vodka, crumbly cookie desert ... it was not nice.
The other porridge was millet with beef. Never seen such combination. Maybe because it is easy to make this porridge bitter if millet is not washed properly, whether as pearled barley (very popular along with buckwheat and rice) is edible in overcooked, slightly burned, slightly undercooked state.
Happy Halloween gundog! Another great post. Took over an hour to watch this one with all the handing out of the treats. No zombies though, so I guess I won't need the pate. Best to you and yours.
Really dig your videos!
:-) you got some CAJONES Gundog... you da man!!!!!
Nice job on the vids keep them comeing.
you do some really awesome videos im getting a mre not sure what it was but im probably going to be doing a review on it
Wow a critic narrator that does not chew like a pig. Breath of fresh air.
+911firefight Editing, lots of editing. Cheers
Great vid once again!!!!
I got one of these and my breakfast part had the same sticky stuff with the jelly and cans totally intact! Also that pate is VERY good!!
now in the mood for tea.
I enjoyed this ration just amazed at what they put in these things
Hah Kazakhstan. Always had a thing for Kazakh girls. Ice cold but beautiful as hell.
I knew a Kazakh girl who was in the military so this is pretty neat to see. Great video man
Other than high energy drink, you can use the sugar to marinade meat to make it more tender before you sun dried it.
That meat in those cans! Just made me hungry! Lol good hearty stuff
Part of me wants to get a storage room and fill it with MRE from around the world each one different meals and try a new one evreyday 😂😂🤔
It's a fun hobby, expensive but fun! Cheers!
Hi! Something is not change. Whenn I had been in Soviet Army we have so exactly ration. I'm sure the taste is the same. Sometime we had a can of sardines with oil or tomato sause instead pate or wurst.
Nice reviews!
+Александр Байбородин Спасибо
Hey.......the kasha also made me think of corned beef hash.
I have never seen anything like Kasha in the store. IN Houston we had some exotic
middle eastern stores, I wonder if they would have had kasha.
I think I will try finding a RUclips video for kasha.
Thanks for another interesting video.
+Bill23799 It's extremely similar in fact I use that same "corned beef hash" analogy. If you like hash you'll like kasha. Cheers Bill!
soldier actually carries a spoon and a fork and even some cooking utensils wich serve as a dishes as well so its much more convenient to use for a soldie with full equpment he carries ^)
My name is Bояаt! I come from Kazakhstan and eat rations with potassium!
did you maybe get the 2 kashi's mixed up seems like the dinner one would have been a good lunch and the one from lunch would pair with the beef from dinner
Never had kasha before I wish I can try it......ur vids rock 🎸
This one is pretty decent. www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/kasha-and-beef-supper/def6c898-187f-4827-9f93-8d90137041d5
Corn beef hash is good stuff. I like it mixed up with eggs or just heated up and eaten by itself.
I've been watching a lot of these MRE videos and it seems to me that the foreign MREs especially the European ones look much nicer then the American MREs
I think it's all about the feels. They probably try to make meals that people will have a familiarity and fondness for to keep morale up. Not saying they manage it well, but I bet it's their aim.
Mmmmanure
j plant Legend has it that if you poured it on the ground and came back for an exercise next year, nothing would grow on the area where you dumped the Beef Manure.
Truly, a terror worse than the Russians.
Lol
Great job friend ! Glad you took care of GATOR, LOL. Peace, Magnum, John.
yesss a new video
didn`t grow up with liverpate eighter, because it gave me hives as a child.. to day, i love it
I thought I was the only one to wrap the tea tag around the handle.
Rick Britton, great review, where do you find something like that, I love the different items, that you would love to try , Thank you Brother. Sincerely Rick from Mo and God bless you and your family
My college Russian classes were a *long* time ago, by I remember enough Cyrillic tor read ragu - on the second can, not the first as you said... ;^)
Anyway, I'm having fun puzzling out the writing...
+chemech It was a 50/50 shot haha
chemech I made out the word pashtiet (pate) on the can that he said was the ragu...;
The Dinner looks filling.
You *cannot* make tea using water which isn't boiling.
It would be good if you could get your hands on a Brit ratpack from the seventies. The tin of chicken supreme was edible. Apple flakes, milk powder and oat biscuits made a good porridge.
Spangles (boiled sweets) tended to get thrown in there as well.
Gizmo Madug Lipton's has cold brew tea bags out now. All you do is put 1 tea bag in 8 oz of cold tap water and let it brew for 7 minutes.
Subscribed great videos man, Just curious do you have a Afghan National army 24hr ration?
+Afghan Australian Nope, nothing from the ANA. I figured they got whatever they happened to get their hands on.
gundog4314 Oh okay thanks for replying great videos :)
+Afghan Australian Cheers mate
with all the rations you and kiwi dude have tried. makes me wish I could try them also
you can, just order them ^^
Good video. Would be nice if you can tell us exactly what you are smelling though.
How did you heat your cans with lids closed?
That Kasha looks tasty. I'd like to try it.
Interesting video, thanks!:)
But it was millet porridge not another kind of buckwheat or rice in the last can:)
You need the sugar, plus a bit of the apple butter in your tea -
I think the lunch was breakfast and breakfast was lunch....
The floating hands are back!
Do you plan on doing a review on the Portuguese Military Ration? Nobody has done one and I'm curious as to what its contents are. Cheers!
+jumpinthefire23 Check out the Portuguese Survivalist he has done two reviews. I tried to do a swap with him but nothing ever happened with it. here's a link: ruclips.net/channel/UCsORIgRVYTh3WpDkVB4ELMg
gundog4314 Will do! Thanks!
were did you get this mre
Why not split up the biscuits into two lots one to use with the apple jelly and the other lot to eat the veg paste and maybe eat the pate, that Kasha might taste like grits just wonder if you added something like maple syrup make it taste nicer.
I can see why looking at people eat on Twitch is so popular it's great ... hey Gundog you should try you hand at eating one of these on twitch :-)
The ovoshchii are the vegetables , it was mostly in Russian , interesting, but not too suprising
what's up gundog...that's a correction first is liver pate and second can is vegetable ragu. All good though :)
From what I hear, you would eat the vegetable ragu on a cracker or with a spoon. I saw someone mix it with their kasha, tho...
I dont like to eat liver and onions but i do like liver wurst i guess thats odd. Great review.:)
hi my name is Toby and I really like mres, I was wondering where you buy mres or just maybe you could give me one. thank you :)
Has gundog ever considered a career in hand modelling by any chance I suspect he’d be very good at it
where can you buy these
Nice
U could put the apple jelly in ur tea to make apple tea
Thanks for your efforts. However sad to say that I fell asleep during the long drawn out introduction. I would have shown the box with rations then simply call each one individually, give a quick brief description of thr item call out the ingredients, and move into cooking a meal.
All without a song and dance.
Short, sweet and to the point.
could you try the danish mre for me gundog 3414
*Insert Borat joke here*
tell it to GGG😂)
I do like the green package. I'm guessing you save the main package?
+gundog4314 Roger.Interesting videos for sure. Take care bud.
You gotta be missing the coffee especially with all that sugar
I want to try an mre so badly and yet I'm in a military state colorado springs. it's hard to get onto base to even try to buy one from the commensary.
Just buy one on eBay or find your local army surplus store
KATastroficKAT ......amazon has MREs.....you don't have to break into a military base to try them.
this is really rare ration ~
hi gundog. Have you made a review on new ukrainian MRE. They're quite better than the old ones. I can lay my hand on one of them and make a review for you.
+Saskamon HEY MY FRIEND! I have done a review of the green bag one. I enjoyed that one much better since I heated it up! I hope things have been going well for you. If you make another review and I'll post a link of it of my fb page. Cheers!
ok. soon I'll return to my unit at war at east. And I'll be able to make reviews on lots of stuff ^)
U ate the lunch for breakfast and breakfast for lunch
I consider it a success if I'm able to open the thing up and taste it LOL! Cheers Judith
that's definetly true
Wellington?
Is it a "big ragout", GD ;) ? By the way, the second kasha appeared juicier, than the first.
this whole ration would be greatly improved with copious amounts of Alcohol
Steve would eat the entire ration 😂
thanks gundog for trying this stuff so we dont have to lol
Because for some reason in your life, that you never lived in Kazakhstan, you would HAVE to eat their MRE/IRP's , eh? Lmao. I bet you've never even served...
Interesting that they obviously are not concerned about a balanced diet. Tells you exactly what the expected survival time of each soldier is.
+leighrate Not really, 99% of the time they eat out of a field kitchen. These are only issued for brief periods when a kitchen isn't feasible. Cheers
At least w me no need to apologize for not liking liver. Everybody has their likes but as you wisely pointed out during an emergency one would need to eat everything that is safe to eat. Speaking of liver reminded me of the show M*A*S*H* where Hawkeye had a meltdown after the mess had served liver or fish for about 20 days. 😊it seems like places that are cold like Russia former soviet republics and places like Norway and Finland have lots heavy entrees due to cold. Would that be a correct statement????? More stick to rib fare????
Knee is coming along great gundog. Thanks for remembering you have been encouraging force. 😉
Love how you gundog everything up.
That beef looks really good!! I like American MRES but i have to say Russian IRPs are so much better!
Lol we had 200 acres of our 600ac wheat crop as buckwheat it wasn't exported tho it stayed in the US
Is nice great success
Don't know about packaging, but tinned meat is produced in Kazakhstan....
Hello sir in your opinion what would be the best foreign MRE for a first time buyer to try
Hands down French or Lithuanian, Lithuanian ones are relatively cheap though.
Is it just me or there is little food in theese?
is not the country from Borat the movie
it's barley, the second tin of 'kasza'
+DragOzze it's millet ("пшено"), not barley
Truth be told, that 'apple jam' looked more like apple butter to me. (Not that there's anything wrong with apple butter...).
Pretty basic. I wonder if they are a suplimental ration like you might see in Taiwan or Israel? Just used for when they don't have mess capabilities? Thanks for putting it up even after you said you mighy not!
What are the names of your dogs?
+SilentGamer We're down to one now and her name is Alligator. Cheers
what is that mixed in the dinner ration with the beef; it almost looks like a thin slice of potato........
I swear these ex-soviet states have the most depressing looking rations...
+Fishfingers232 It's all about the budget. I watched a series on the Mongolian border guards where they train them for 2 weeks send them off to their post with nothing and they have to find their own food and forage. I'd be pretty happy with this in thse regards. Cheers!
Some put the apple jam on the paté
Where's huey luis?
Seems like such an extremely tiny amount of food.
Hello gundog 4314 from Australia! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
А где курт и казы?
You're sure that this are not just different kinds of abbatoir refuse? I had to fight quie hard eating this, respect.
+LCdrDerrick When in doubt garlic powder, sea salt and tabasco. You could eat a tire with that combination! Cheers
Glad to see Turks.
