- This month I wanted to go into more of a "summer" theme but still wanted some muted colors. While I enjoyed a few of these pens tremendously, there were some losers too...
Let me know which one you liked the best! Also the pen holder is from Galen Leather (link below).

I love that you use a variety of priced pens! It's daunting to someone who is just starting and sees everyone writing with Montblanc's and Visconti lol Starter pens are more than just for starters imo.❤
So true! I LOVE my beginner fountain pens and honestly find that some of them behave better than the expensive pens. Also, as a plus, the beginner pens are often easier to clean!
@@mydandeliondiariesI agree…. I love a wide range of pens price wise…I have a couple of sailors and a Leonardo and an Estie…… honestly can’t beat a Twsbi …..😀
That shimmer in moon beam ❤ I just ordered a twsbi stub for my shimmer inks and am hoping for great results like yours!
It's so good! One of my favorite pens for shimmer! Plus, they are relatively affordable 🥰
The nib on the Pilot Kakuna can be used to replace the nib on the Pilot Prera so you can get a replacement nib for an inexpensive price. Added bonus: the cute smiley face on the Kakuna nib. :-)
yesss, that exactly I wanted to say. The pen is too beautiful to give up on.
This is a great idea!! I may end up doing that. Kakuno's are some of my favorite starter pens!
Just looked on Amazon and there’s a clear Kakuno for $10!
The nibs from the Pilot Plumix and the Pilot Metropolitan also work. The nibs are swappable across all of the lower cost Pilots.
BPC Eroded Bronze is an absolute favorite. This month i have it in a vintage Pilot Pearle from the 1970s in an EF nib. SO good. But I've never tried it in one of my broader nibs and i think it might look amazing in my Benu Caviar Broad. So good!
Wonderful!! Sounds like a great pen and ink pairing!
You know, when you zoomed out on the ink bottle swatch page, the colors very much reminded me of Up. Wasn't 'Adventure Awaits' in Up?
Yes! That is such a great name!! Thank you 😊
Okay now you’ve convinced me to try out Robert Oster “Peach” 😅 I saw someone else doing a swatch / writing test & they said it was too light, but just by looking at your swatches - it’s gorgeous!! ☺️
I love it!! In a smaller nib like a Fine or Extra Fine I think it would be a little light in writing, but the broad I put it in was lovely!
@@mydandeliondiaries I mostly have smaller nibs, but some that’s a bit bigger too. And my TWSBI Eco EF for example, feels like writing with a more broad nib compared to my Pilot Kaküno for example.
I love that Robert Oster Peach! And I’ve been waffling on getting a sample of Dorothy for ages…maybe I’ll do it this month. lol!
Both great choices!
Love these inks you chose!
Thank you!
Benitsuchi and Tsutsuji are gorgeous! Love strong, clear colours. The Prera is a cute pen. I hope you can fix it with another nib. 😇🩷🙏🙌
I hope so too! Thank you!! 🥰🥰
❤❤❤
i have a similar color theme this month! because it's pride month i went with a pink-blue-yellow theme cus I'm pansexual and that's the colors of our flag :))) looooove the moon beam ink tho it's super pretty
That is so wonderful! Such a great way to theme your inks 💝
Great video! I was wondering, how do you go about changing the ink in the Traveller's Company Brass pen? Is there a particular ink converter that you use given the pen's small size?
Great question! I actually just clean out the cartridge and fill with a syringe. :)
What is that cylinder you use in spreading the ink? Thanks ilove the variety ❤ i have the tsutsuji in my pilot 823🥰
It is a small acrylic stamp block! I got it from Jetpens years ago. The Pilot 823 is one of my favorite writers!!

I’m using Robert Oster Peach in my kakuno this month also. I find that it’s a little dry, do you find that? I agree it’s very legible once it dries but when I first put ink to paper I find it hard to read
I haven't had a dry experience with it in the Lamy. But inks behave differently in different pens!
Hi Danielle. Where did you get that huge clip? I want it.
I get them from Amazon! (aff link) amzn.to/3xrHcTY
Once upon a time "friend of Dorothy" was the "covert" way to say gay/ally, because Judy Garland was a gay rights supporter. And purple is a very gay/trans rights color so maybe that's connected?
I'm not sure, but that may be the story behind it!
