I appreciate you guys pumping out the content for the new books! I've often seen Luka (and others) struggle with the rules or putting together good lists that synergise well. That's to be expected since you guys play so many armies. So instead of harping on your mistakes I thought I could give you some pointers and maybe that'll help you to achieve some (even) higher quality Khorne gameplay! 1: Reavers are trash. They die to a sneeze and their attack profile is pretty bad. They are literally just walking Bloodtithe points. Use them as screens or run them up the field, park them 3,1" away from the enemy's nastiest unit and in their hero phase use Murderlust to scoot them into melee, thus trapping the opponent. 2: ALWAYS try to place your Shrine as close to the center of as possible. As we've seen here, by placing it to one side your opponent can just out-deploy you. Khorne relies massively on getting their prayers off so you really, really need that Shrine ability to reroll failed prayers. 3: In general the Mortal side of Khorne has good saves (2+ Crushers, 3+ Blood Warriors) and wants to win by attrition. Pretty much everyone has only damage 1 attacks so in order to kill stuff you have to buff their attacks (as you did via the Wrathmongers, Secrator and the +1 rend prayer). Run them into the enemy and if your guys die, retreat them and use that sweet, sweet 4+ rally from the Bloodsecrator. Then use Murderlust to scoot them right back into melee. 4: The Icon doesn't just disappear when its effect triggers. It only disappears if you roll a 6. You can also use it to block movement or hinder charges. The enemy can walk through it but can't end on it so just place it next to your units and the enemy can't charge that spot. Or measure how far the enemy can move and place the Icon in their way. Hope this helps!
Krule missed opportunities: Swampcalla shaman has a warscroll spell that he absolutely should have been used turn one; Summon Boggy mist. Feels bad Using sneaky miasma to move the sludgeraker further form your army thus negating his powerful aura, then not moving him in the following movement phase. Could have instead used sneaky miasma to Gobsprak himself forward putting him in range for Da black pit on the skull crushers, then move him back to saftey in the movement phase. Then keep sludgeraker close to affect the bolt boyz venom. This is a castle army. Keep that sludgeraker in the center baby! Definitely make Khorne go first to draw them into your range and give yourself the potential double turn. Don't use Skull bugs lol. Big yellers would have helped a lot especially since you get a free reroll on each unit. ( especially helpfull with killbows.) Lastly, ALWAYS screen your bolt boyz. Very glad to see KB on the channel but a bummer to see them played this way. They're in a rough spot and need to be played carefully with any hopes of winning.
Kruleboyz are not a castle army. Thinking they are is why they have such a poor winrate. Also, summon boggy mist would have just give the Khorne player a ton of Blood Tithe, so, yeah, better to not do that.
@@Threnodist1 so all the pros who e tried them are wrong? They have sting shooting, and aura based buffs. Those are castle stats. Explain your non castle tactics please.
@@ClovisLaRoche Pros? What pros? This is a basement/garage game with toy soldiers. Pros.... sheesh. And explain my non-castle tactics: okay, people play them as a castle, and they have the worst success rate in the game. Done. Oh, that not enough? How about most of the abilities in the army (except for the stupid/fragile/unreliable boltboyz) revolve around charging into your opponent's face. You know, because they are GW orks. So, if you play an army, and you don't use most of the good abilities, you're gonna have a bad time. But, please, stay in your castle. Have some tea. Maybe a crumpet.
@@Threnodist1 you’ve obviously played them very little. I’ve got over 100 games with them. You don’t charge at the opponent. You force them to come to you and then close in around them. I have played an alpha strike list that works decently with 30 gutrippaz supa sneaky-ed into the opponents face turn one. But it gets hard countered by a few armies so I’ve found the castle build much more reliable. Draw them in. Shoot them. Counter punch. That’s kruleboys. And yes. There are pros who travel to tournaments often and are consistently in the winning brackets. Those are a large portion of the stats we see tracked since they so consistently play at RTs.
For everybody saying KB are too weak: 1) The game was pretty close until the last few turns. 2) The KB list is not very good, there is no point in taking Skumdrekk over a generic Sludgeraker and you have to play KB as a shooting army. Take Big Yellers and never leave home without at least 9 Boltboyz and 2 Shamans. The Marshcrawla is useless since KB only cares about the mortal wounds that they deal, not the +1 to hit. 3) Thomas' rolls were quite below average. A shooting list that does mortal wounds should absolutely take a Khorne list like this apart with just 2 turns of shooting. 4) Gobsprakk is best against armies that rely on magic, which Khorne doesn't. 5) KB recieved some nice buffs after this Batrep. Points decreases, buffs to Gutrippaz and you can now choose 2 Dirty Tricks.
Absolutely agree on everything except Gobsprakk being great against casting armies. Against all these super casters with +3 to casting he is completely lost.
Be stoked to come by sometime after I round up my Blades of Khorne army (out of province) and get everything painted up. Full unit size is probably close to 10k points.
Hey guys amazing video it had great insights on the armys. Random question tho sorry if I missed it earlyer in the video but, can u take big yellers subfaction in matched ply or pitched ply or is that not legal. Couldnt quite find a salid answer in the genreals handbook 27.2.1 keep up the amazing content. Thank u
Fun battle report to watch! I was rooting for the Kruleboyz the whole time. I always love watching your AoS battle reports, especially when they feature gitz!
Gosh, I love KB, have 3k pts of em. But they absolutely suck, they have terrible battleline, their tricks are lackluster, over-reliant on heroes, slow, no movement tricks. I hope in the next book they get some thematic abilities similar to GSC in 40k.
GG. Yo, Luka please Say Mortal Wounds instead f Models slain when doin an MW thing cause it seemed like once or twice you missed the correct amount of models. YASSS, CHAOS MORTALS. I would take on a Blood Reaver.
I feel like that guy swept a shelf of minies and took whatever fell on the ground for a KB army, with the only other thing more random being how he plays them. 🤷🤷
So much potential... How come it always feels like MWG game's winner can predicted after turn 1? Wish you guys had closer match ups, lol. Your opponents seem resigned to lose from the start!
I thought it was a pretty balanced game. If the KB shooting worked better, Luka would have been in trouble. If Skumdrekk won against the Bloodwarriors, this would have been game for Kruleboyz. And that Bloodboil killing the general was quite lucky. So often I failed to kill something with Bloodboil because I rolled a one on wounds. So yes, dice rolls won Luca the game - again. Lucky Kitties :]

Luka, just a tip, reavers now have 2 attacks base, so the wrathmongers would have buffed them to 3 a piece. not a big deal but its kinda nice lol
Yay! Kruleboyz are back, been some sweet time
Great game, great players... great dice?
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!
Be stoked to come by sometime after I round up my Blades of Khorne army (out of province) and get everything painted up. Full unit size is probably close to 10k points.
Not that it matters in the game, but at 1:42:22, "beckon the hunt" don't work on heroes, so no 3D6 charge on bloodthirster...
That Tzeentch themed room is amazing!
Love to see Kruleboyz about! Such a cool army, I pray GW gives them more support!

Sad how low powered the Kruleboys seem, especially against the new hotness armies. :(
At 39:28 how did u get the 2nd prayer for priest? I thought priests can only pray once per turn.
There is a Khorne General trait called High Priest which lets the General chant an extra prayer or Judgement.
Where is last fridays batrep??

Fun game to watch and a fun guest but man, the Kruleboyz suffered from those dice rolls!
My 2 fav armies, I've waited for this report for long
The names of the kruelboyz are just fun, played a Skumboss on sludgesnatcherbeast once ... XD
Great vid guys. Juggernauts aren't daemon mounts until they give us the damn keyword. 😂

lowkey love this game. I think the models and theory are so amazing. What a battle!
WHOO MORE AOS
Nice game ! Care you can't pick a hero for the 3d6 charge ;)
the icon only gets removed if you roll a 6. otherwise it stays in plays and removes d3 extra models on each failed battle
shock
Great job!
Bread for the bread god! Dough for the dough throne!

Guess I gotta update my passport and bring some Gloomspite over the border. I'm over in PA!
Gotta love Luka for the hussle. I bet he'd play Tik Tak Toe on the channel if someone challenged him.
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
Man I have the exact same problem with AoS, I painted up 1700ish points of storm cast but can only find 40K matches 😂

let's go
