I love this! Especially the tag, the shifting maj7 chords are always a great sound in barbershop, just one critique. A core part of barbershop is that on dominant7th chords the top voice sings lower trying to hit the harmonic 7th of the chord, that is about 31cents flat of the "normal" minor7. Granted the original tune doesn't do this either, and its your choice to do it or not, but I think its a cool sound. Sorry for the essay, have a nice day cheers!

You had an interest in Barbershop that faded? If you ever want to ignite that interest again some videos I'd recommend: 1987 Barbershop Chorus Medallists, 1987 Barbershop Quartet Medallists, 1994 Joker's Wild, Good Old Songs - Boston Common, Clown Medley - The New Tradition.
Some groups I'd recommend (to listen to their entire discography, can usually be found on spotify): Bluegrass Student Union, The Oriole Four (their rendition of "Old Folks" and "Mother of Mine" is the best), The New Tradition (they share their page with a country group with the same name for some reason, their rendition of "Alone with the Crowd" is very good), The Sidewinders (the onotomopoeia is spot on, "Dangerous DanMcgrew" and "Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy" are perfect), The Four Renegades (a very good dark-sounding quartet from the Vaudeville era), and last but definitely not least, the Buffalo Bills. I still believe that the Buffalo Bills are one of the best quartets ever to have graced the BHS. I don't think there'll ever be another Buffalo Bills especially with how Barbershop has changed with how it sounds now. A good group I come back to though is the "Hut Four" which can be found on the channel "Spaguy62", very nice sounding. Have a good day.
