It’s so interesting because as you go down in price, so does the true cool, toned, rosy color. It’s something I’ve noticed for a very long time that drug store or cheap bronzers are orange or yellow or when they try to be neutral somehow they’re still too warm. I actually think that the ones you showcased from the cheaper side looked to be a bit more neutral than cool toned however, on the opposite end, the high end bronzer really know how to make a cool toned bronzer for us, and really noticed that not everyone turns orange or yellow or even warm when they tan.
Same !! I haven’t loved a bronzer like JR since Indian earth which is truly sunkissed in a pot . If you know or don’t google it ! It’s so cool thanks for this video JP!
Jen can you please please try and review some more cool toned bronzers? Things like - Charlotte Tilbury Cream Bronzer in Fair - Saie cream bronzer in Fair bronze - Colourpop bronze stix in Laguna Beach - Essence baby got bronze in 20 moondust I love your video's and you're the only one I trust! Please help me finding the right one for my wedding ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for saying that I’m on the fence about buying that one. I used to use the one from Bobby Brown, the pink that she used to having her other line.
Thank you for doing this! I have purchased so many different bronzers, many of which you have here as well and I regularly swatch all of mine as shown in your final snippet 😂. My search continues for a truly red/rosy leaning bronzer similar to the Jones Road but at an affordable price point. Lol, at this point though, I probably could have bought the Jones Road several times over 🤦🏼♀️ sigh, and yet my quest continues as I cannot bite the bullet for JR.
Mac Buff looks like the jones road. That’s usually on sale for $22. I’m sure there is something more affordable than that even but I’m throwing that out there. Temptalia might have dupe suggestions. Even Reddit perhaps. It’s a beautiful color.
That is odd you say that. I was always a true neutral and since I hit 50/51 yrs old many things have happened and still happening… I have more red in my skin and struggling to find foundations, concealers and bronzers. It’s like warmer foundations look better now on me, not too warm just maybe a hair darker than my old light to med neutral tones… My mom was 💯 Olive with bright blue eyes and never burned. If I burn it turns to tan within a day or two. Anyway, I hate 🍊 looking bronzers but I don’t want a contour bronzer just a nice natural bronzer (powder) and I like to incorporate a little powder contour since I know have a fuller round face
I have Fenty's in Amber and Rare Beauty's in Bright Side. Neither are orange. I struggle with it too. I didn't wear bronzer for so many years because I thought all of them were orange or would look SUPER obvious when the rest of me is very pale lol. I know there's other ones but those are just a couple I have that are more cool/neutral leaning.
Stick Cream Bronzer with a neutral tone, but looks great on fair skin (honestly I think it looks great on SO many people): Westman Atelier Contour Stick in Biscuit
I am darker skinned, so I don’t need as much brown, but I love rosy. I swear by Laura Geller. Her blush/bronzer is so dense that her smallish compact lasts at least a year. I love your short videos. ❤
I agree regarding Laura G's Bronze n Brighten bronzer being a good one!!!. I have high end ones and honestly don't even bother with any much these days as most are orange or muddy or not enough red or rose or anything natural to a true bronzed (sun-kissed) look or even a nice mild warmth to my face but I just used them to for a pick me up as I'm light skinned. Last week I bought her "fair" color and it's PERFECT!!!!! Gives me life lol. I had an older one I hoard lol and didn't bother with it - saved it and it just looked to dry so this new one is spot on perfection for me and I'm not porcelain fair, just light skinned. I add my blush on top. Retired so just get out a few times a week - not much to do but love using this and people at my PT where I go say my skin is so lovely. I'm a new 67 yr old. So that was a good buy and not like my UBER high end ones. I love her products and know all about makeup and feel she has such quality it's sad she want bought out by a bigger corp. She is a gem. PS: her Kohl liners stay put and I am allergic and have dry eyes and they are so great. One was in my bronzer order lol! Bought from her site on Valentines day sale I read about on QVC.
I may try that one too - I posted above and have other high ends but non with a hint of rose or red aka natural sun-kissed color. I thought the Jones Rd. was a cream only as she sells most all creams now. But checking it out now. Laura G's was a new buy in Fair and it beat my high end orange brown toned ones I'm so tired of!
Thank you for the short!!! I have wondered this so much. I would love to find a good powder contour for fair skin video. That’s what I have been hunting for.
JD Glow has several cool toned even pinky bronzers and the formula is really good. Kevin Aucoin also has a pinky bronzer and MAC is comming out with new radiant bronzer shades the lightest is also rosy.
My favorite is the Hourglass in Diffused Bronze Light. With the exception of the Jones Road, most of these come off as too warm/orange on my fair olive skin.
I think bronzers should be a little bit warm, if they're too cool/gray they're really more like a contour. While a few of these are cool (like the Milani one), the rest are warmer with rosy undertones, which are perfect for anyone with a cool pink undertone. :)
🎀 I really would love the Charlotte tilbury bronzer it looks so pretty 🎀 Thank you Kass for giving us a chance to win, even if we don’t it’s still the lovely opportunity that counts! You are such and amazing sister and I aspire to be like you xx THANKS KASS 🎀💗🎀💗🎀
Most of these would be perfect for my fair/light skin tone so I'm super happy that you made this short so I can save these selections for later purchase! I just wish you could save these shorts like you can with the normal YT videos.
i have most of these and agree whole heartedly!!! I do keep reachng for my Gucci, I keep telling myself to use some of the others that are not $97 dollars (Canadian) but...i just keep going for it. I am quire fair especially this time of year when my face hasnt seen the sun for the past 7 months, lol. I wish Flower beauty was still sold at Walmart in Canada its very difficult to find here now :(
I have the older baked Milani bronzers all beautiful could wear as blush as well being pale. Rimmel Sunlight is a nice too, Pixie one is good too very light. Somehow the PF one I like how soft is milked but found it a bit too reddish on me. Love all these swatches so beautiful! Best natural shad ever.
Thank you. This is an ideal forum to present this type of material. Sometimes I would like to find your opinion on something that is within a bigger topic (like drugstore favorites), but the YT search engine isn't always so good. These little nuggets are great!
My favourite is Quartz by Lethal Cosmetics, it's matte and also both light and cool-toned enough to match my skintone/undertone. I use it as a contour and it's perfection 🤎
Tarte matte park ave princess is my favorite for cool tone! Everyone always sleeps on that one but it’s soooo good n smooth! Iv heard the Mario powder bronzer is good too
Always appreciate a video on cool tones makeup. I want to try these too now- however I will be using the massive Marc Jacobs bronzer I got at the Sephora sale (3 years ago) for the next 15 years so…😂 P.S. the Milani looks kind of yellow compared to the top three but not sure if it is in person.
Thank you for doing this. I wanted to keep a bronzer in my emergency travel makeup bag for the car. My go-to everyday is the Gucci bronzer in 01. It’s perfect for my cool based skin but too expensive to be an “extra.” I have tried to get minis of my favorite products but Gucci doesn’t make one. I love the satiny finish and will try the Flower Beaty on your recommendation.
UD used to make a bronzer called the beach bronzer I think. I still have it and love to wear it as my bronzer& blush in one when I’m in a hurry or going for very simple natural makeup. Nice rosy undertone l.
Jen get the believe beauty sunkissed honey very cool toned and luminous. There's an overspray on it that makes it look more warm toned but as soon as you dip your brush in overspray goes away and you can see the true color. And the price is unbeatable❤
This is my biggest pet peeve!! I own most of those bronzers because I'm super cool-toned. I have to say the Jones Road Dusty Rose is the closest to what I can use (with a contour). Give me Glow has a few but very pigmented. I'm ordering the Kaleidos trio right now (15% off), it looks promising and I find the Asian brands have the best cool foundation (Sheisdo, Missa).🤍
I really like Ulta brand bronzer and the cream one from Revolution though if all the makeup I use for some reason bronzer is RHS hardest for me to get right and not look like too much!
What would you guys recommend for a fair skinned girl with mild rosacea? I need a color that complements my skins and neutralizes the red a bit if possible.
@@JenPhelps no worries 🙂 Can I ask if you might know of just the creme portion of it? I recently saw a tutorial that used it and it looked so blendable and creamy without being too pigmented. Any recommendations would be awesome.
Have you tried the l.a. girl bronzer in back to the beach? It's cool tone and perfect for my fair skin. I always go back to it even over my high end and luxury bronzers! 😘
As a cool toned girl I literally wear the Milani sun kissed bronzer it’s amazing
It’s so interesting because as you go down in price, so does the true cool, toned, rosy color. Flower Beauty does it for Me! So Pretty!
What shade do you use please
Thanks Jen....you put a lot of info into a tiny space!
Following your recommendation, I bought the Flower bronzer for its cool, rosy tone. I LOVE it!😊
The Laura Gelled bronzer is one of my favorites
Thanks for all the different options from drugstore to high-end. I'll definitely be checking a couple of these out for summer
Same !! I haven’t loved a bronzer like JR since Indian earth which is truly sunkissed in a pot . If you know or don’t google it ! It’s so cool thanks for this video JP!
Thank you for putting the name and the prices with the product that you show very easy for me to screen shot I love that!

I have the L’Oréal and the Milani. Both are fantastic. My favorite bronzer though is the Butter Bronzer by PF. It’s so good and lasts forever. 😊
Yeah but the PF is orange AF
Is the loreal good because i have a fair skin tone and i dont know if the bronzer shade fair is good or to dark or to light?
The PF bronzer has such an overpowering scent. I had to return it.
I usually don’t wear bronzer, but after this video I will give it a try! As usual, your presentation is so honest, fast and informative!
My favorite is The Balm Desert . Gorgeous.
Such a gorgeous bronzer/blush!
I just bought the Dusty Pink Jones Road bronzer but I still prefer my Flower Beauty Bronzer in Sunrise 🤷🏻♀️
I've been eyeing that one from Jones road!! Not worth the hype iyo?
@@daniellezadora7637it’s so worth the hype - it’s great
Thank you for saying that I’m on the fence about buying that one. I used to use the one from Bobby Brown, the pink that she used to having her other line.
@@lisatedesco242 the new Jones road one is powdery and difficult to blend. Not worth the price!

The Milani in Sunkissed got me over my fear of bronzer 😂😂
This is one of the most helpful shorts for me personally ❤ Thank you so much🎉
I have the flower beauty bronzer. It is my go to 😊
L’Oréal lumi bronzer is my favorite.
Mine too and they discontinued it 😭
Thanks Jen. Having gone from warm to more neutral pink complexion in my older years, I have gone crazy trying to find a cool toned bronzer. 🌵👩🦳🌸

Gucci and Jones Road my favourite plus I like Jones Road light tan as well because it's cool toned
I’m so glad you did this!!! It’s so hard to find non orange bronzers!!!! Any recommendations for cream or Stick bronzers that aren’t orange????
Yes I want cream bronzers for cool tones. Fed up with using bronzers that just end up looking like orange patchy foundation
