Hi, I’m Chelsea! I am a ninth year music teacher at a public school in Cincinnati, Ohio where I teach over 600 K-6 grade students each week. The first two years of my career were spent teaching 6-12th grade choir and show choir!
I have also been a virtual healthy habits Coach for over 5 years, with a goal of helping other busy teachers make time for their physical and mental health.

That is so kind! I haven't vlogged much this year but currently am hosting my first student teacher, so definitely plan on sharing about that experience!

If you don't seat a student next to another student that might cause a fight then you're okay.
However, if a student really wants to speak to their friend they will make a way to do it even if it means calling out to them.
How you manage that is A. you make your lessons so interesting to them that they will not want to focus or touch on anything else but your lesson.
B. No effort = Zero. Back when I was an autistic school student where I come from we used to have a saying that goes like this and it came from one of the high school football players. If you come around to clown around we're gonna shut you down.
Focus on shutting down the clowns using that grade book.
Meanwhile, you look awesome in your outfits. I kind of needed to see them this week. I had a loved one die to cancer.
For me, I am just trying to stay strong and keep moving forward in my life and seeing you look good kind of helps me with that.
