I don't know what's the problem then, but the save feature is broken for sure, I tried resetting the game so it would start over but just doesn't save.
the tiny eeprom chip inside the cart for saving data must have malfunctioned or has exceeded its write limit and therefore needs swapping out if it doesnt save anymore. replacements or equivalents can be found on component stores online though it is tiny and surface mount so gotta be careful using a soldering iron on a gba cart
I have a Game Boy Micro and this game but unfortunately I lost the AC Adapter and the Game Boy is out of battery so I can't play it😢 Edit: Good news!!!!! I found the AC Adapter and I finally played this game and I cleared all the cups even 150cc this gave me so many memories glad I played it!!!!!!😄
Leon Ko I’m so happy for you! My DS Lite broke, I still have the Charger and it works, the system is on full battery, but the GamePak slot doesn’t work and the left d pad button stopped working WHILE I WAS PLAYING this game, on GBA Bowser Castle 1!!!

Not be that guy, but technically Nintendo didn't make this game. It was developed by Intelligent Systems, who are most known as the creators of the Fire Emblem series.
This game is so surreal to me. 3D sprites, but it’s a 2D game. I was fairly young when I played this, so seeing all the details again is like seeing them for the first time. I remember the sounds perfectly though. Congraatulations! Lets e go! _CLING_ _CLING_ _CLING_
Damn... I remember playing this... no worries, no anxiety, no problems, no stress... I always loved playing as Toad at 150cc on Rainbow Road... good times.
Who remember the "glitch" on "cheese land" ? I used to do it eveytime back in the days ! Amazing to see this gameplay. This was the first time I ever played to a game boy at Christmas
I had the same problem when i found the first saw the gameboy laying in my storage box full of stuff, except i got a charger a a month and a half later 😁😁😁
This was the first MarioKart game I played during my childhood times, and the title screen music sounds like it should be the main theme of the MarioKart series.
This game feels like a fever dream to me I’ve never been a huge Mario kart guy but this is the only one I ever had and I played it so young it gives me that weird nostalgic feeling like it feels unfamiliar but once you see a map or hear a sound from it the memory comes flooding back💯
Now I remember, i liked toad a lot because he was one of the fastest characters, cheese land was cool because it looks like the moon, and i got to the point where no other bot could win me, I found ways to always go fast and precise that only my ghosts could be a fair race, and even with this I could beat them! Good ol' times
I miss this Mario Kart to a degree. I used to have this game, but I unfortunately lost my copy and GBA console. It was so-so, basically a mix of 64 and the original SNES game.
For no reason at all, it always used to freak me out as a kid when the shy guys would grab onto your kart if you drove through their tents in Sunset Wilds.
Im very thankful for this game casue it helps me alot to forget my loneliness in present time. But sometimes too much nostalgia is not good for me because i want to bring back time so badly. The time when there's no too much problems, very simple life.

I never own then game, however before I got GBA I used to go straight to the K-mart’s game isle and play the demo of it. My neck hurt all the time for always looking down at the system but it was worth it. It was the only way I could play GBA at the time until my sister gave me for Christmas……I miss my youth man
I wish this was the Mario Kart I grew up with instead of MKW, but too bad I discovered this game in 2012 and not any time earlier. Literally just bought my 4th GBA SP and 4th copy of this game about a couple of days ago, oh the good times man! This game is way too damn underrated
I never owned this game, but I feel like Super Circuit is underrated. High reviews when it came out, but not talked about much now because of hardware limitations. It did so much with so little!
This game came out on August 27, 2001, when I still living in San Antonio, Texas around this time. But that same year, I got my hands on the Game Boy Advance. 2 years later, in May 2003, when I was living in S.C., I purchased this game and I started playing it. Mario Kart: Super Circuit received "Favourite Video Game" at the 2002 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
1:11:16 that shell you passed took you down? It's like it was waiting for you XD I've noticed that the Lightning and Blue Shell powerups are rarely used in this version, but I never knew you COULD outrun the Blue Shell, that's nearly impossible in today's Mario Kart games
I know there are tracks with the SNES courses; I've unlocked them in my game last time I played it. That's what I was referring to as the Extra Cups, since that's what the game calls them.
I still have that game and my gameboy advance and it works but i don’t have a charger so it needs charge,I found my Super Nintendo 64 with super mario kart on it to and some other games and gameboy ones and my old DSi it’s bringing back my childhood 😭😭😭😭❤️
@@ghostninja5035 It is, you have to drift for a whole second, then blue sparks will appear, it's more useful than I originally thought You also have to not run into anything while doing it
I started to play this game when I was 8. I played it very many times. So I remember exactly characters and cautions of the maps until now. And 24:17 was my favorite map. Its background and music was so impressing to me. And then I am playing MarioKart8 with switch now:)
Princess Peach and Toad are so OP in this game. I managed to get a 3 star ranking on all of the new courses on every cc class and gotten the title screen to be nighttime.
+Xenoforge78 No not really since Peach (and Yoshi) has good acceleration but their turns are bad. Toad (and Koopa Troopa) has good turning but they're lightweights. The fastest characters in that game is Bowser and DK Jr. but their acceleration is crap. Super Mario Kart is more balanced than MK64 and MKSC.
Not only was this the first game I played on the Gameboy advance, this was also the first Mario game I ever played! This was also the 3rd first game I ever played in my life!
I'm not a Nintendo fan but Mario games means my childhood I used to play it with my cousin using "link" cable for Game Boy Advance later on with Advance SP and DS I don't remember how many hours I spent playing this game 😅 but it brings me back so many memories 😢
@@peashooterandsnowpea7136 The blue shells here, you can literally out drive them like you said lol at least they aren't as broken as they were in Mario Kart 64.

Same here mate
+RybelliousGaming: This was also my first Mario Kart games as well. I still have my copy. ^^

The fact that Nintendo could push the GBA to its limits with a 3D rendering engine blew my mind back in the day.
Not be that guy, but technically Nintendo didn't make this game. It was developed by Intelligent Systems, who are most known as the creators of the Fire Emblem series.
Well "3D"
@@andrewkauke that's incredible
This game is so surreal to me.
3D sprites, but it’s a 2D game.
I was fairly young when I played this, so seeing all the details again is like seeing them for the first time.
I remember the sounds perfectly though.
Congraatulations!
Lets e go!

Aflay definitely ahead of its time!
Damn... I remember playing this... no worries, no anxiety, no problems, no stress... I always loved playing as Toad at 150cc on Rainbow Road... good times.
Holy shit. I never knew there was a mario kart game on the game boy advance.
Who remember the "glitch" on "cheese land" ? I used to do it eveytime back in the days ! Amazing to see this gameplay. This was the first time I ever played to a game boy at Christmas
i dont need an emulator,i have an actual cartridge with an actual gameboy advance sp!
Nathan Enciso Same here.
Its cool to know some are still hangin on to their old systems, like ive been holding on to my gamecube i got from a friend
My brother gave me his
I have a gba sp but the battery died and i cant find the charger ;(
I had the same problem when i found the first saw the gameboy laying in my storage box full of stuff, except i got a charger a a month and a half later 😁😁😁
I bought this game today actually
Started playing it and I've been loving it. Mario Kart Super Circuit and Super Mario Advance are the best GBA games.
This was the first MarioKart game I played during my childhood times, and the title screen music sounds like it should be the main theme of the MarioKart series.
crying, this was my childhood, the music is so nostalgic
same
Omg i still remember the dialogues of each character!
This is such a fun game! I play it all the time in my DS lite still! I love that the SNES tracks were included if you beat a cup and get a star rank.
I remember getting this game with my GBA back on Christmas 2001 :')
Lost most of my adolescence because of this game. Best days of my life.
I remember playing this on my DS (gotta love backwards compatibility...). Good times.
I'm still getting there. Having a lot of fun
I miss this Mario Kart to a degree. I used to have this game, but I unfortunately lost my copy and GBA console. It was so-so, basically a mix of 64 and the original SNES game.
2:14:03 OMG THAT COURSE BRINGS BACK SO MANY MEMORIES 😢😢😭😭😱
Oh man... Did I play this.. I had the little Gameboy light too haha. I played a lot of F zero. Why does this make me sad? I hate growing up
12:15 I got a good laugh out of this.
Here to remind you of your 5 year old comment
@@RUclipsr-xi6qo Thank you.
Hmmm 5 years old comment? Am gonna remind 2, ur old comment bro
@@NovaLearning bruh 2 months is not as much as 5 years :)
@@NovaLearning I’m gonna remind you made that comment in 3 years (2024)
For no reason at all, it always used to freak me out as a kid when the shy guys would grab onto your kart if you drove through their tents in Sunset Wilds.
I used to have this game since I was little and I miss Playing it!
Blue Mario t iij fkgihgkyhv😍😂😁😀
Oh God the memories!
Im very thankful for this game casue it helps me alot to forget my loneliness in present time. But sometimes too much nostalgia is not good for me because i want to bring back time so badly. The time when there's no too much problems, very simple life.

This game is so much fun. my 3rd favorite Mario kart.
Tyler Armstrong It's my 3rd favorite too! lol
My 3rd favorite as well. Wii is 2nd. And Double Dash is 1st.
Tyler Armstrong this was my first MK back in 2004 or 2005 then it was MKDS then double dash
My #1 favorite Mario kart game is Mario kart 64.
This game is underrated
I never own then game, however before I got GBA I used to go straight to the K-mart’s game isle and play the demo of it. My neck hurt all the time for always looking down at the system but it was worth it. It was the only way I could play GBA at the time until my sister gave me for Christmas……I miss my youth man
The backgrounds make the game look so trippy lol
I wish this was the Mario Kart I grew up with instead of MKW, but too bad I discovered this game in 2012 and not any time earlier. Literally just bought my 4th GBA SP and 4th copy of this game about a couple of days ago, oh the good times man! This game is way too damn underrated
World Of LongPlays! That’s Nice!
I never owned this game, but I feel like Super Circuit is underrated. High reviews when it came out, but not talked about much now because of hardware limitations. It did so much with so little!
Yeah... May try this one day, after i played Mario Kart DS many times. 😅
@@IvanFranco120 I'm in exactly the same position as you! haha
One of the first games I ever played I was I think 5 when I got this game and this game made me enjoy racing games.
Man this was my shit as a pre teen like around 2012 or 13 I had my advance and N64 lots of summer nostalgia from one of those years!
Mario Kart Super Circuit is definitely the most underrated Mario Kart.
I played this game so much today on my backlit original gba. Rage inducing but so worth it when you win.
I just got this game today and I'm lovin it
I love how the characters are the same from MK64.
Duh
Mew *Sigh*
Scot the woz : there’s one new edition to the roster:
Random.
I would like to see the item box be playable one day
4th Mario Kart for me. My first was Double Dash.
I don't remember blue shells AT ALL in Super Circuit. On a different note, This driver really needs to learn how to drift..
Maybe they're just extremely rare like in the n64 version.
@@neverforgettodofacepulls782 Yup, they are
me and my brother play this. he uses either Yoshi or DK and I use peach because she's the only girl in this game
Sweet PeachApricorn Peach fan! So?
Dylan Morris boi that’s pretty harsh fuck u sexist prick
Edit: there can be females who play games and stuff
Hector Espinoza butthurt much?
I like queen and ac/dc lol how does that make me butthurt? R u stupid?
I like queen and ac/dc lol and also what’s up with ur profile pic? 😂
54:23 princess peach is falling down falling down falling down princess peaches falling down my fair loser
If most people played like this I can see how they'd say the game is hard. Drift to stay on the track.
I was just wondering about that, isnt the powerslide in this game?
@@ZombieHorror666 I don't think it is.
@@ghostninja5035 It is, you have to drift for a whole second, then blue sparks will appear, it's more useful than I originally thought
You also have to not run into anything while doing it
I would always watch this and use my computer curser on the max then move it around like I'm playing
OMG OLD TIMES JUST WISH U COULD COME BACK
brings back memories even though I'm 14
I started to play this game when I was 8. I played it very many times. So I remember exactly characters and cautions of the maps until now. And 24:17 was my favorite map. Its background and music was so impressing to me. And then I am playing MarioKart8 with switch now:)
Voices are taken straght from the japanese version of mario kart 64
Except for yoshi's voice, which was updated to modern yoshi
Princess Peach and Toad are so OP in this game. I managed to get a 3 star ranking on all of the new courses on every cc class and gotten the title screen to be nighttime.
+TomboyGamerGal To be fair, they were OP in the SNES game as well.
I still play this game ☺♥♥
i see you
Not only was this the first game I played on the Gameboy advance, this was also the first Mario game I ever played! This was also the 3rd first game I ever played in my life!
Even though I love Yoshi, his finishing pose creeps me out O_O
Shaun Cullado he looks like rayman
@@t00nedd00d does he? I'm not sure!
The one that started it all for me... I MASTERED this game
In this game, you can only have up to 55 coins. Plus, they increase your top speed.
When will Yoshi play Super Mario Super Circuit?
Although I love Super Mario Super Circuit I don't know how to move ,reverse or picking up items
This was the first video game I ever played aand I played for hours
The first Mario Kart game i've played with my cousin. It made my childhood :)
donkey Kong sounds like a crying baby and Bowser sounds like some bowling pins knocked down and Luigi sounds like a gay version of mario!?!?!
Luigi's voice sounds more reasonable in the previous Mario Kart game, Mario Kart 64
wrong
Guppy Nator Wrong,Wrong,Wrong!!
Dar Bow YEAH, nintendo must've had too many mushrooms. They should've given japan ours!
It's the Japanese version of their voices that they used for this game instead of the American voices like on Mario Kart 64
I'm not a Nintendo fan but Mario games means my childhood I used to play it with my cousin using "link" cable for Game Boy Advance later on with Advance SP and DS I don't remember how many hours I spent playing this game 😅 but it brings me back so many memories 😢
I love double dash, it never gets boring for me :D.
I want to know how you escaped that Blue Shell.
In Mario kart 8 (if you're lucky) use the super horn
Alex GB
Mushrooms also work in Mario Kart 8.
In super circuit, you just keep driving.
@@peashooterandsnowpea7136 The blue shells here, you can literally out drive them like you said lol at least they aren't as broken as they were in Mario Kart 64.
omg you upload one of my favorite games on my b day
Must've had a god-like luck to be able to turtle-dodge a Spiny Shell...
