    My industry requires quick digital tile veneers. Eg: photograph tile in the shop or keep it in library or dwg supplied by manufacturer & inlay it on the drawings

    Hit it out the park yet again David! loved this one. can i suggest a future video? Im good at doing presentation boards using sketchup, but I'd be so happy to know the workflow using archicad for such purposes. Exporting drawings especially and the different linework that we use to create our boards...enough rambling lol. A simple video on archicad presenation boards! that would be a first on youtube. Cheers and continued success

      @@DavidTomic Thanks mate, hey btw do you know how is ArchiCAD running on the new M1 MacBook air? I am thinking of buying one but not sure is it going well with M1 series or not.

    • @mattap98
      @mattap98 3 года назад +1

      @@palashtrivedi5622 probably not your best option. archi hacks did a recent video on this stating that the m1 chip wasnt compatile with most of the programs we use. their suggestion is if buying a macbook, go for an older model

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  3 года назад

      Havent tested it in full. Only got access to a mac mini with the m1 chip, runs okay for minor bits and pieces. Haven't spent much more time on it otherwise as it was purchased as the boardroom computer. Best to listen to ^^^

    Great video, thank you! I am struggling with casting shadows to the neighbour's house elevation for council submission. Do you have any video on this using ArchiCAD 26?

      Not specifically No, however there are overshadowing templates pre-built into ArchiCAD if you want jump on our discord group and I’m sure we’ll be able to help you out. The link is in the description

    Good job, thanks, David. As an architect, my eyes can't stand Axonometric drawings which I believe they're more for engineers? :) Only exception is exploded views for presentation, but still quite old school, sometimes it's useful.

    • @DavidTomic

      Hahaha! I use it more so for client presentations then anything else. Impact vs reward ratio is too high not too. Builders seem to appreciate it too.

    Hi David! I’m an Archicad user at an architect firm in the Netherlands for more than 25 years. But i never used axo, it always looks strange to me. What is the reason you use axo? btw, love your video’s!

    • @DavidTomic
      @DavidTomic  3 года назад +2

      Hey John! Thanks for the comment! Personally I use them as a visual reference for clients in the bathrooms like shown here. Many clients struggle with 2D plans and there isn't always a budget for renders. It would usually be a bit more detailed, showing almost everything that's going on in the bathroom, more for an interior design point of view. Doesn't have to be an axo, can be any 3D style, it just a simple setup process and easily manipulated in archicad, hence why axo for me 🙂

    Thank you. I am still wondering however why Archicad wont allow us to draw some sort of 3D Splines (Lines, text, trees) in 3D View so that our Axonometries with all the descriptions stays always up to date with the plans. I dont want to create the Axo Artisticaly and then just do it again over and over bcs of the changes I needed to make on plan :(

    • @wengaidandara4898

      Cause when saving its three options original
      Fit to page, and custom which one must be used cause fit page is changing scale and original sometimes partition the page
