  • I took a trip along the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (Toowoomba Bypass) the day after it officially opened to traffic.
The Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC) is the now officially the Warrego Highway (A2) from Helidon to Charlton and the Gore Highway (A39) from Charlton to Athol.
The former route of the Warrego Highway is now known as Toowoomba Connection Road (A21) outside of Toowoomba and the various local street names (Bridge Street, Tor Street, James Street and Cohoe Street) within Toowoomba.
The former route of the Gore Highway is now known was Toowoomba - Athol Road (A139) outside of Toowoomba and Anzac Avenue within Toowoomba.

Very very nice stretch of road, the emergency lane looks quite narrow at times though

The Re-vegetation looks like an expensive failure.
