  • A second video that goes over some features added after this one: • Truck Camper Water/Sho...
    In this video I wanted to go over some of the improvements I've built into my homemade camper shell since the last camper shell video. The biggest change has got to be the power system, which is supplied by a jackery 240 (240 watt/hr) and runs a variety of 5 and 12 volt devices. While a lot of the devices are lights, one of them is a fan that I made a wooden swivel so it can swing around and be stowed away. Another addition was the pump, which shoots water out of an expandable water hose at about 100 PSI. And finally I added some lights at the top of the door that light up pretty much a whole campsite. Besides that I've also added a hydraulic assist and foam matting to the tailgate. Along with a few other odds and ends, this camper shell continues to be a work in progress.

    Walmart sells a Primo electric pump that is rechargeable and the charge last a long time. It is for the big water jugs at most grocery stores and gas stations. It just sits on top of the bottle, so it can be hacked some. I bought one about a month ago for $25.00

    Great job on recent improvements Blake. I used the magnet idea on my window shades. Works great! Wondering if u have links to what you used for your water pump, hoses, and electric supplies. Love the switch box.

    • @BlakeHaskins
      @BlakeHaskins  3 года назад +1

      I dont have links per say, but if you go on Amazon and look up 12v water pump (self priming) and get one in the 100 psi range it should be ~$40, I'd recommend one with the barb fittings rather than threads. The only thing I bought for electrical were the switches wich can be found by looking for "12v switches" there are a ton of options too.

    • @BlakeHaskins
      @BlakeHaskins  3 года назад +1

      The fan I just had laying around, the brand is "O2cool" I think. The pump is just a generic one from Amazon if you look up 12v self priming water pump. I'd recommend getting a pump with the barbs as opposed to the ones with threads.
