2024 Nissan Z Nismo Is A Threat To Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, and Audi. BUT...

The Nissan Z remains one of the sportiest cars on the market, but it does not do anything spectacularly well when it comes to performance. Yes, it is fast, but the suspension tuning, the high curb weight, the mediocre gearbox, and the lack of power all make it hard to see it as a real contender among the likes of the mighty BMW M2, the mighty Porsche 718, and the mighty Mercedes-AMG GT3.
However, after a few spins around Sonoma racetrack and a few hours driving through Napa Valley’s rolling hills, the Nissan Z Nismo is the antidote to all of the Z’s ills. The Nismo model adds more power to the Z, a firmer chassis, larger brakes, and improved aerodynamics, making it a car worth wanting, even without the manual gearbox.
