Your reaction to bill Murray’s death crying while laughing was f’n great 😂😂😂🎉😂😂 I haven’t laughed along with a reactor to this movie like that till here.
Next time you're in a zombie mood I'd suggest either "Train to Busan" for a sad touch or starting the Cornetto Trilogy with "Shaun of the Dead" for a comedy touch.
This was too entertaining a reaction Natascha lol bless ya, Zombieland is a comedy with sprinkles of horror-esque scenes. I shudder to think how you're going to be with an actual horror film haha ease yourself in more with Zombieland 2 doubletap
Bill Murray in 'Caddyshack' is probably his most iconic character even though he is a side character. His character is quoted in this film. It would be a good react if you haven't seen it. It's a comedy.
"This is a hybrid...this is a cross between, uh, Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and Northern California sensimilla. The great thing about this stuff is you can play eighteen holes on it in the afternoon, then take it home and get stoned outta the bejeezus-belt on it that night."
32:18 Hahaha, Barry Manilow, made me chuckle! 😂 For a UK twist on the comedy zombie apocalypse, you would probably enjoy Shaun of the Dead. It's part of a trilogy, called The Cornetto Trilogy, followed by Hot Fuzz (police action comedy all by the same people) and The Worlds End (apocalyptic comedy science fiction).
Hihi first reaction of yours I've seen. You did great, this is a great entry level horror. There is a 2nd Zombieland. Id also recommend Shawn of the Dead, Happy Death Day, and when you're ready Killer Clowns From Outer Space. Looking forward to what's next.
14:35 Did you recognise Amber Heard there? Her best known appearance being the Depp v Heard trial obviously. (14:51 Yes you did ! lol) 33:14 Someone sang it with the lyrics "Those B*st*rds!" (instead of Ghostbusters) once and now that's all I can hear when I hear the theme. I'd recommend "Tucker and Dale" if you want another Comedy/Horror, it's a great one.
0:15 -- RE: "I have to gas myself up to watch this..."; A: The funny part for us the Audience is knowing the film from having watched it already but also remembering how fookin' kick-arse it is. The first 10 minutes of this movie are super effective for the suspension of disbelief, in my opinion, and that includes the slow-motion opening titles. This movie also subverts expectations in some subtle and effective ways; it isn't required to have an up-beat ending in a zombie film, for example, but "Zombieland" managed to thread that needle in a compelling and entertaining way.
If you're looking to explore other "horror comedies", I'd highly recommend the Ghostbusters (also has Bill Murray). Shaun of the Dead is another good one that pokes fun of the zombie horror genre and doesn't take itself too seriously. You know, food for thought.
^^ And the UK has made some important additions over the years to the genre on the whole. "28 Days Later" (for example) is where the "running rage zombies" emerged as a trope. I'd also recommend a TV series from the UK called "Dead Set" which, as I recall, is 5 episodes long and it aired over 5 consecutive nights back in 2008, with the premise being that the main action occurs on the set of the reality TV show "Big Brother". This series was created and written by Charlie Brooker.
I enjoyed watching your reaction to this, Natascha. When you were doing the intro, I was like I wish I could just tell her its more gory than scary, and it will have you laughing. If you're looking for your next step, I'd suggest the Terminator series if you haven't seen the first 2 movies. I think you'd like them.
If you want a horror movie that is way more comedy than horror and has a happy ending, watch Terrifier. It's a play on the whole "scary clown" trope where Art The Clown is a real goofball. What's scary about it is how funny it is and often heartwarming
Speaking of horror and Bill Murray, you should check out Ghostbusters (1984). Also Spaceballs (1987), a great Star Wars parody. Finally, check out the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy, I would love to see you cosplay as Astrid from that series.
Bruh no offense but I highly disagree. It was a cash grab and very forgettable. Same with Super Troopers 2; I love the first one but the second one just falls flat.
@@butkusfan23 l was excited to see the core cast members back and was entertained. I thought Madison was hilarious. But I get what you're saying, I loved Kick-Ass but was disappointed with the sequel.
Just think of the constant awareness and dedication that last breath gag would have taken. :D You'd have to judge that every breath is your second to last and if so, take a deep breath. Absolutely impossible, except for Bill Murray!
I highly recommend "Little Miss Sunshine" (2006), starring Abigail Breslin (the younger sister). A dark comedy about a dysfunctional family on a road trip, from New Mexico to California (2 days car ride), trying to get their daughter there in time for a child beauty pageant.
I don't watch zombie movies, thankfully I caught this one! LOL! After getting past the intro, the narrarator hooked me, with the Garland, TX statement, having lived there at a couple of times, decades ago!
The only difference between this film and true horror films is the laughs between the scary scenes. This movie has enough jump scenes, gore, and scary imagery to be put on the same level of horror and gore as many (not all) "true" horror films. I think if you watched a few more dark comedies/comedy horror films like Shaun of the Dead (absolutely hilarious film) and reminded yourself that these are all actors on a set making a piece of art meant to elicit specific emotions, you could get through most horror films fairly unscathed.
3:20 Yes, as a matter of fact it happened to me this morning, I had a wild dream and kept waking up and every time I went back to sleep that dream continued, but I think Lucid Dreams are connections to parallel universes.
I vaguely remember seeing this film with a group of mates at the cinema and freaking out when Metallica and Van Halen came on during it... Ah, simpler times! 😂 I can safely say to this day Emma Stone is still ridiculously hot in this movie though! 😍 You should check out the sequel: Zombieland 2: Double Tap! It's not quite as good as the first movie in my opinion but it's still a pretty decent follow up!
I'd have to agree to some degree that films like the exorcist could be a bit much for someone not particularly used to the genre, but at the same time everyone reacts to different types of horror differently. What could be terrifying to one person may not be so bad for others. Sometimes people watch a psychological/supernatural horror films like "Jacob's Latter" or "Suspiria"(2018) aren't as affected by it, but adores films that primarily rely on jump scaring them for 90 minutes. It does kinda depend on the person's understanding of what style of horror is set in. Comedy Horror like this, "Tucker & Dale vs Evil", "Krampus"(there's a ton of low budget Krampus movies but the one I'm talking about is a fairly recent one with Toni Collette in it) , or even "Warm Bodies" are all pretty good introductions to the genre as they usually aren't too scary or gory for general viewers.
Great reaction Nat, you sweet summer child! I think it's only fair to give you a few more horror/comedies and goofball, cheese fest, horror movies to aid in your acclamation or just for when you need a break from the proper horror films to come. To that end, I give you the following: Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, two modern classics starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Young Frankenstein, is an all time classic by Mel Brooks, written by and starring Gene Wilder, in one of the best comedies ever put to film. While not on par with Young Frankenstein, Mel's other horror parody, Dracula: Dead and Loving It, is a good choice after you watch Bram Stroker's Dracula. Killer Klowns from Outer Space a late 80's cult classic, it's just a campy, cheesy, fever dream of a good time, that's gotten renewed interest with the new video game coming out. And now for the undisputed king of schlocky, cheesy, B-movie, horror/comedy, Bruce Campbell! The original Evil Dead movies are the very definition of low budget, cheesy, horror movies with some great comedic elements, but the 3rd film, Army of Darkness, is where they really lean into the camp, cheese and comedy, the movie is a gold mine of epic and iconic one liners. The follow up series, also starring Bruce Campbell, Ash vs Evil Dead, is the ultimate mix of horror and comedy, with a stellar cast. I also have to recommend Bruce's, indescribable hit, Bubba Ho Tep, a movie that defies explanation and the incredibly meta, My Name is Bruce, which should only be watched after you've seen the Evil Dead movies and Army of Darkness, since it's filled with references and nods to the franchise. P.S. After you watch Alien, you should watch Mel Brooks hilarious Star Wars parody, Spaceballs, which has a great Alien gag in one of the scenes. And after you get through the second film Aliens, you can watch, Paul, a buddy, road trip, adventure movie filled with sci-fi references, starring once again Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
I think this was a great choice for your first step into Horror. Personally, humor mixed with Horror are the only ones I watch these days. I enjoy Thrillers more than Horror ✌️ you did great 🫶
You are soooooo Hilarious!!!! 😂😂😂 PLEASE watch "The Thing" NEXT!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏 It's a Scifi Horror. But you are so adorable when you're scared. It's very fun seeing you get scared. It is also the best Scifi Horror film EVER made. And it's more of a Philosophical Thriller, than a Horror film anyway.
RE: smashing things up: There used to be places they would stock with cheap ceramics and you could pay a modest fee to go into a room and smash everything. I don't know if there are any still around but I always wanted to go to one. :D
Natascha, two other horror/comedy movies you might enjoy since you liked Zombieland are Shaun of the Dead with Simon Pegg & Nick Frost, and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Both are hilarious and only Shaun of the Dead is about zombies. 😄
This film is one of my favorite horror comedies of all time. If you can handle this one, then you can easily handle Shaun of the Dead, which is another one of favorites, and it pays tribute to the original zombie film that started them all called dawn of the dead which is from the 1960s so I wouldn't say its particularly scary whatsoever. If you have never seen ghostbusters or you only saw it as a little kid, I would definitely recommend it. Also, if you are looking for a more serious zombie that isn't too scary, I would recommend train to busan. Alien is an excellent film, just be prepared.
Girl I'm right with you on the nightmares. I've been plagued by night terrors since childhood. I am really particular about scary movies I've watched, and being married to a horror film lover it's hard 😂 I do love this movie tho, the humor definitely helps
yaaaay another Dreamer 🤣 why are some of us like this and some of us like my Fiancé who dreams once in a bluemoon.... must be nice to rest while you sleep eh? 🤣
@nataschasummers must be nice 🥲 just be sure to put your mental health first! Love all your reactions!! Are you going to do the star wars prequels?? They get some hate but I adore them!!
I loved this movie. I really like the characters. If there was a zombie apocalyse, I would love to have them with me. There is a sequel and it's even better than the first. I highly recommend it!
If you haven't already seen it, (Shaun of the Dead) Is another "Zombie Comedy" that in my opinion is one of the all time greatest of the genre. Although, if you do watch that movie you will be bombarded with requests to do the rest of the "Cornetto Trilogy". Filmed by Edgar Wright featuring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
To sort of ease yourself into 'the Genre' as we call it, you may prefer to start off with some of the fine horror comedies or parodies available. Three of my favorites are "Parents", "Fido", and "Dracula: Dead and Loving It".
First time watcher of your channel entertainment level on point with you freaking out at the beginning of the movie of all the gore and all the disgusting stuff 😂 this stuff is baby compared to most movies that are rated r in scary there's some scary movies that are banned in the USA that I've seen randomly on my time of living on this planet Glad you enjoyed the movie I hope ☺️ the phenomenal movie it's a masterpiece I saw the first one in theaters you had to wait 10 years for the sequel❤ the sequel is called zombieland double tap I'm glad you enjoyed the movie if you do watch the sequel watch the end credit scenes it's a masterpiece of an idea you'll laugh your butt off❤
If you haven’t seen it yet, you should react to Seven (Starring Brad Pitt & Morgan Freeman). It’s dark, but it also does a good job of leaving the worst up to your imagination. And a great soundtrack as a bonus.
Just found ya while looking up this movie and subbed right away. Great reaction :) Yes there is a sequel to this movie called Zombieland Double tap. I suggest you react to it. You would totally love it.
Good on ya' for braving the scare! I'm proud of you! as said in your livestream, Aliens was enjoyable even as one like me who doesn't do horror, so that is a good pick for the next one. Do be warned though, since it's an older movie, it is rather "slow" moving. I think that is a thing to be mindful of going in.
As usual, LOVED your reaction! And congrats on dipping your toe into the shallower waters of horror. Now, I know you want to go deeper but be very careful. You can't unsee the really scary stuff. And by all means, NEVER watch "The Exorcist" or "The Thing". Not everyone is meant to see those types of films. And I'd hate for you to experience the nightmares they could conjure. I think "Alien" may be ok, but it's a close call. Take care.
I was kind of hoping you would come out in some zombie makeup..but you didn't, but then I had to wonder, was your black top the same top that Mia Wallace was wearing in "Pulp Fiction" the same pattern when she had to be brought back from the dead of an overdose!? If you indeed went that deep, or just got lucky, blew my mind!! Love your reviews, keep them up!
if your looking for more kinda horror-comedy to ease yourself into the genre id highly recommend tucker and dale vs evil (gory but hilarious), cabin in the woods(mild gore but not too intense), and the final girls(least gory of the three)
A couple of more in this category of horror / comedy you could use to ease into real horror might be Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and Shaun of the Dead.
Loved the reaction. Good way to ease yourself into the horror genera. Maybe later down the line you can check out scream or terrifier. My two favorite horror franchises. There are so many good horror movie with amazing stories. Just have to be brave. Or do what I do after watching horror movies throw on cartoons or star wars haha. My comfort zone.
You should try some classic horror films from Universal studios. There is some "horror" but it's not so much blood and gore. It's very melodramatic and most people will find it quite tame. But they are the basis for a century's worth of "monsters", so they have at least some cultural relevance. Personally, I love them but it's hard to call them horror per se given the current conception of horror.
"Do you have any regrets?"
"...Garfield maybe."
Killed me the first time I saw it. 😆🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣
Another great horror comedy you could watch is “Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil”
Yes, a great film! If Nat hasn't seen much horror though, she may miss a lot of the references,… although they are pretty universal, lol!
@charleshartley9597 yeah, its the same with cabin in the woods
100%
One of my most favorite because of how funny and creative it is.
Tucker and Dale is one of the best B-movies made in the last 20 years. So, self aware and hilarious. Love it.
"Zombieland: Double Tap" (the sequel) is also very good! Highly recommend it.

Great job, brave girl. 😅 Warm Bodies is another dark humor zombie movie you could ease into horror with. ❤😊
Great reaction, I love this movie and the sequel so much also!! You are amazing and beautiful!! I love all your reactions!! Best wishes always!! 🙂❤
awh thank you so much, so kind! glad you enjoyed 🩷
@@nataschasummers You are most welcome always sweetie!! 🙂❤
other fun scary ones to look into: Shaun of the dead, Hot Fuzz. and Tucker and Dale vs. Evil.
First time watcher of your channel entertainment level on point with you freaking out at the beginning of the movie of all the gore and all the disgusting stuff 😂 this stuff is baby compared to most movies that are rated r in scary there's some scary movies that are banned in the USA that I've seen randomly on my time of living on this planet
Glad you enjoyed the movie I hope ☺️ the phenomenal movie it's a masterpiece I saw the first one in theaters you had to wait 10 years for the sequel❤ the sequel is called zombieland double tap
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie if you do watch the sequel watch the end credit scenes it's a masterpiece of an idea you'll laugh your butt off❤
That was funny🤣💪🏻You are amazing 🤩
awh i'm so glad you loved it Luca 🩷🩷 you're amazing!
Lol thi was a hilarious reaction 😆. Wonderful as always 😊
Thank you!! 😁
Love learning the different phrases..."shine a light" 😅 (translation: f' me)
glad to teach my language 🤣🤣
wow Natascha well done, you sat through a dark comedy ;)
so brave xoxo
"Oh no is he addicted to the twinkies?" ROFL.
Not the twinkiessssssss 😂
If you haven’t seen it yet, you should react to Seven (Starring Brad Pitt & Morgan Freeman). It’s dark, but it also does a good job of leaving the worst up to your imagination. And a great soundtrack as a bonus.
Just found ya while looking up this movie and subbed right away. Great reaction :) Yes there is a sequel to this movie called Zombieland Double tap. I suggest you react to it. You would totally love it.
thank you so much lovely!!
The scariest part about this movie was the clown bits. Other than that great fun movie!
agreed haha
Get in. Quality movie. And a great reaction as always. Looking forward to you reacting to The Hobbit Trilogy. Assuming it's on your agenda of course
thank you so much! watching The Hobbit this week 🥰
Take care.
After watching her intro, no way she'll ever watch The Blair Witch Project.
Another zombie comedy (zomedy, eh, eh?) is Cooties. Probably not as popular as the others in the comments, but I enjoyed it!
If you liked this one, another one comparable is Tucker and dale vs evil. It’s a horror comedy as well. Very funny
Live footage of Johnny depp dealing with Amber heard during an outburst
Great reaction, you don’t appear to be too traumatized. 😊👏🥰
I can't wait to see you ramp up the horror, ease into it for sure lol
Shaun of the dead, is about the same idea. Zombies but funny to. Also there's a part 2 to Zombieland.
Avoid The Exorcist at all cost.
Just thinking about it gives me a strange sense of putrid evil that I can't explain.
Love your reviews, keep them up!
perhaps paranormal activity next?
Guess that makes me "Lincoln" 🤣 This movie is so gross, but funny!
If you haven't seen it already, you should probably follow this up with Sean of the Dead =)
if your looking for more kinda horror-comedy to ease yourself into the genre id highly recommend tucker and dale vs evil (gory but hilarious), cabin in the woods(mild gore but not too intense), and the final girls(least gory of the three)
A couple of more in this category of horror / comedy you could use to ease into real horror might be Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp and Shaun of the Dead.
C'mon Rodders! You're Nats last hope! defend our girl
I'd love to see you react to the Conjuring 1 & 2.
