+giggs112008 E-40 is literally the most underrated rapper of all times. If you look at his catalog and singles and street credibility and relevance today and he still doesn't appear on anyone's top 10 list that my friend is the King of Underrated. He should have his picture up in Wikipedia next to Underrated.

This song is so deep and ahead of its time it makes my head spin. Listen to what he's saying. Jobs like the oil refinery, I'd rather work in napa at the winery. A disappearing blue collar industry being replaced with an economy built on food, entertainment, alcohol sales, which is a two class system. you make it big or you starve. I remember walking with my sister to get 'skins and Now-Laters from the store on the opposite corner. Blacks moved out west during the war in the 1940's..and were able to buy homes. It was a good neighborhood until the 1970's...and then the 1980's...and we all know the history from there...
So much history...better yet, OUR story shown here. That's why this is one of my favorite videos of all time. Not to mention the fact that the incomparable Tupac Shakur was in this....as well as Yuck and Num, CnH, Dru, Spice, The Mosie, Money B and Boots from the COUP (Who inspired the song)....

Too many songs sound formulaic and slang sounds forced. I liked Charlie Hustle and Loyalty & Betrayal a whole lot better even though they didn't sell as much.
