Nice video. For any newbies to welding, do yourself a favor and buy a good quality MIG wire. It makes a difference! Low quality or cheap wire will "dance" as it leaves to tip making your welds less desirable.

Good morning buddy how are ya? Great video as always! I’m about to buy the tig200 ac/dc and the helmet. I saw you use that machine when built you tdi I’m thinking it will meet my needs and not break the bank! Thank you for sharing all ya do. I really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot. God bless you and your lovely family. Have a merry Christmas.

How do get parts or a spool gun? Order online only ? Does any spool gun for aluminum fit ?

@eastwoodco sells a spool gun for this specific welder. It’s on their website. Use code redeye10 if you order something. It will save you a few bucks.

Do you have a plasma cutter? We got one for the farm about 6 or 7 years ago, works nice for cutting steel and or working on equipment because it don’t have the heat build up like a torch does.

Yes, I have a prime weld "cut50d" I have found i really dont use it very often... Not nearly as much as I thought i would.

I’ve got a Hobart 210 mig it’s worked good for me, I’ve not heard of Eastwood, looks nice. What size wire do you run? I run .035 in mine.

My hobart was great for a very long time. Eastwood is really taking over the market for weekend warriors right now. Ive been using their stuff for awhile and have been nothing but impressed. I use .023 for sheet metal work and .030 for everything else. That's as big as I want to go for machines 180 amp and under. If i have to weld anything that thick i use the tig or stick.

Save the hood if you ever build an on board jeep alternator arc welder it would be perfect.

Just sad that when you showed the welding hood it shows made in China.

90% of stuff used in USA was made in China😅
