I have though a problem, when I load a sound, whatever it is, sounds only play from half keyboard to the right, all sounds suppose to play in the left side don´t play! Normally, this that not happens with Kontakt which it is very easy to select OMNI and I have all sounds in the complete keys, all to the left and to the right, with Sample-tank, I don´t see how I can do this, please, HELP me to understand how I can have all the sounds in the whole range of my midi keyboard! Question 1: If you already own T-RackS 5, are all of the effects from that available through SampleTank 4, or just the effects modules that are specifically released with Sample Tank for each instrument? Question 2: Is it possible to load your own instrument into Sample Tank 4 (ie a collection of samples in a standard format like WAV) and use Sample Tank's controls on it? Hi, the effects in SampleTank 4 are specific to SampleTank 4 but you get them all regardless of whether you have their equivalents in T-RackS or AmpliTube. You can import samples into SampleTank 4, yes.
I just downloaded Sample Tank 4 CS since it's provided completely free with around 4GB of samples. But I have a problem. The software starts and I get the main instrument select screen (such as at 0:35 in this video) but when I click on "load instrument", it get the sample tank 4 CS icon on the left side (as around 1:22) BUT with a padlock symbol over it. If i click it, I get redirected to the ik download site. I don't know what to do. My product is properly registered, authorized, everything is fine, but unlike in every related video, I don't have any instruments to access. I did still download the full thing, so what am I doing wrong? Hlp pls!!

I can't get Sampletank 4 to recognize any instruments, including my ST3 library. I keep rescanning the library folder and nothing shows up under instruments

having a hardtime with midi controller. I worked for the first slot once but no other slots. I reloaded my Daw and opened sampletank but then I couldn't get the first slot instrument to activate w/controller

Surprised there was no mention that you can browse instruments like in ST3 by clicking the folder icon to the left of "library." Sort of a nice hold-over that made me feel a little more at home while I was learning the ST4 ropes.
This is an insane product, I can't imagine how much hard work was put into this behind the scenes. Thank you so much for making this and thank you for that crazy black friday discount so that we could puchase.This still didn't reply if I can use the multiple instruments at the same time but I hope the future vids will. I was trying to assign two instruments into same midi, I hovered over around setup remap etc but couldn't make it yet.
I gave up trying to get ST4 to find the instruments folder a year ago. Has that issue been resolved or should I try again next year? And no, I'm not gonna submit another ticket.
Hi Wade, I had some success by moving things manually (after backing up) I agree their whole approach to instruments and where they are placed is super flawed and not at all intuitive. Also you can get decent support out of IK but persistence is key. Ultimately I just started moving stuff around and got it to work. I wish they put half as much effort into streamlining the instrument folder setup as they put into the 100 bells and whistles I'll never use. Good luck.
I've had nothing but poor tech support. Takes about a week. People respond, but it's like they didn't even read you issues, and complaints. I'd support ticket back, get another person, and have to start from ground ZERO again. I loved ST3, especially Philarmonik, was trying to buy Hammond Organ, but clicked on ST4. Got a good price with cross grade, and jam points. The installation was torture, took forever. Most of the data images, don't specify what they are, just 'sound content'. So if your're not paying attention you will get really F#$%ed up. UVI libraries and Falcon are totally amazing. But not much in the way of realistic traditional instruments. But their installation, tech support are the best I've ever seen. Open up UVI Portal (installation, and update app). It lists every library you've got, which have new updates. click on one window, and it goes. registers with Ilok. A 7 year old could do it. IK Multimedia does make VERY GOOD sounding libraries, I give them that. But installation is so UN-INTUITIVE. I downloaded all of ST4 sound data (there is a LOT). The first disks tell you 1 of 8, 2 of 8,, etc. But all the other multi disk images, only specify 'sound data'. I figured out a method of 4 windows open, jumping between them, and got all the disks loaded fine. I've just been playing with it for 1/2 hour.. It does SOUNG GREAT. I hope they hire a new programmer, and figure out a more friendly. clear way to install. OH YEAH - and $150 to download the sound data if your's get's corrupted. FUK that. Of the 6 companies I mainly buy music software, virtual instruments, libraries.. They all let me re-downloa it any time I want. The stuff is all copy protected, what are they worrying about.. That's just TACKY POOE business practice. I wasn't ever gonna buy anything from them again. But ST4, Modo Bass, Hammond Organ sound GREAT/
Inside SampleTank 4, you can remove the Part. To do this, go to the main page which appears on open, the Play page. To the right of the Instrument name you'll see some extra options where you can clear the specific part. Additionally, you can use the Play or Mixer page to Mute the parts you don't want to hear.

Any SampleTank 2 sounds can be loaded into SampleTank 3 via Legacy Instrument Input. Once imported to the SampleTank 3 library, SampleTank 4 can see and load these sounds. In SampleTank 4 in the Phraser Section how do I know what key the patterns are in? In Sampletank 3 you could see what key the pattern was in and adjust accordingly. In ST4, while you do have the transpose function to adjust am I sopose to do this by ear? Curious oversight.
In the Pattern page you will see a list of Patterns, to the right you will see all the possible notes to drag your pattern to. This note shown here is the same note as the "Key" shown in SampleTank 3. This is just telling you what key on the piano you can trigger your Pattern with.
@@ikmultimedia This does not work.When I drag a groove onto a midi key,when I play my midi kb,the phrase does not trigger at all,fix your software please. The product manager wrecks the software ,.there should be a way of checking installed files with Product Manager so they work.
Seems to be a DAW at the same time, but just with MIDI tracks, not with additional AUDIO tracks. Kind of ORION DAW although ORION provides AUDIO tracks as well. Why don't you just provide your great instruments and effects as VSTs and let the editing and mixing etc. be part of the DAW the people want to use?

ikmultimedia very cool vst, love the sounds. I finally managed to get it working in FL studio Mac. I noticed in the library there were a few sets that said "Free" with a download logo. When I click on them it takes to my products purchased page and I can't find the exact one shown in the vst. How can I download those free sounds? Thanks.

So you need an actual keyboard to use this?
You can use MIDI controllers or you can input MIDI into your DAW, but you would control these sounds in SampleTank 4 via MIDI yes.

No, you can use just SampleTank 4 SE moving forward. If you have your SampleTank 3 sounds installed, these will load in SampleTank 4 SE.
