Indeed, the 80’s were the golden age of rap... Being in the boogie down during the birth of rap and watching and listening to it grow and mature... The fat boys were indeed funky as fuck... Brooklyn in the house......
A lot better than the "Nightmare on my Street" video by Fresh Prince. At 4:17 was the guy who played Beeker in "Krush Groove". In real life, he was the manager of The Fat Boys and wanted them to do family friendly songs like "The Twist" and "Wipeout" and this song. Kool Rock said on Unsung that he liked the gangsta rap that was coming out around that time and wanted to do that but their manager was against it. Kool also said that because of songs like The twist, Wipeout, Louie Louie, The Fat Boys were losing their street cred. I guess that's why their last two albums "On and On" and "Mack Daddy" didn't sell too much.
The Fat Boys were goofy as hell, but I loved them none the less. I remember when this came out. It was all over the radio ... A very good Halloween season. Back when Halloween was actually celebrated fully and people had a blast, unlike these days. Tradition is dying in the West. Please bring back the 80's.🙏🧟👻🎃👽🧛☠️👺👽🧌🦹
