so i don’t know if anyone clarified but the ring in the vault is not a missable trophy at all i missed the ring myself in multiple different play throughs and only ended up finding it later chat was either just messing with you or were genuinely being stupid
Right around the 13 minute mark you said this game is about perspective. I paused there, because so far this might be one of the best blind playthroughs I've seen of this game. I'm in the camp who loves it and thought they did an amazing job with the story and when you said "I'd probably be mad too" that was almost my exact reaction to the character switch the first time. W channel, glad I found you.

Honestly massive props for getting the platinum. I really like TLoU2 but it's also a game I never want to play again from how painful and gruesome everything is.
Opposite for me lol, the gameplay is so addicting and I believe the gore makes the world so lived in. It’s not afraid to show that this world is deadly
The same reason I won’t play TLOU 1 anymore and won’t play 2 and also my parents really don’t like the gore so yeah but I loved my time with 1.

They're a bunch of collectibles that are easter eggs from older games. There's the ring from Uncharted, and an egg from one more franchise (I don't remember which one).

I caught that the second time I played it this year (after 3 years) and I had played the first 3 uncharted games during that time and I caught what the ring said almost immediately
I actually remember you getting the platinum trophy for Part 1 and as I watched, I was thinking about how you would try to tear down Part 2 (and you kinda do with Mel and No Return DLC) since hating this game was still a popular thing to do at the time, so imagine my surprise when you went out of your way to saw that the game is nothing less than peak storytelling which got me interested in your platinum video, so much so I was actually anxiously waiting for it, and now that the video is out, it actually made me want to replay the game again. Thanks again for this cinematic masterpiece Rob and so happy you loved this game like I did.

TLOU2 is the best piece of fiction I've ever experienced, it tore my heart out and destroyed me over and over again for 30 hours.

No game has made me as consistently emotional as TLOU2 did... Even for all its flaws i will always love that game right beside the first.

More than anything, the name of the game when it comes to grounded... Is resource conservation and patience. You have play esch encounter with the next one in mind.
Once you understand this and play with this mentality, you will start accruing ammo, advantage, and margins of error.
This is why I DEFINITELY hit tough points in my Grounded+ playthrough, but I died wayyyy less than you did despite not really being used to a controller
Regardless, this was a GREAT video to watch. Keep on keeping on, dude 🫡✨

I’m sure this’ll trigger a lot of people because it seems like no matter where you go, there’s always going to be a hate train for this game but at this point in my life after having replayed the game for a 3rd time, I prefer the second game over the first one.
The first one had a good story (let's not circle-jerk it and call it great), but the combat/gameplay SUUUUCKED. Even the remasters feel really dated.
The second is way more fun to play, but its story is junk food. But a fun game is still a fun game, so it's okay.

Just finished grounded + with permadeath and I can confirm that story mode has much less resources than daily run grounded, hence was harder

You aren’t alone Rob. This platinum, no playing this GAME regularly broke me. I was disappointed, sad, angry, lost, and just overall stressed. This game disappointed me, I was expecting a fun and satisfying play through like the first game. But I honestly regret it.

you know the game is a masterpiece when you dont want to kill the "villain" in the end when throughout the rest of the game you did.
The very last section before you get tothe hostages took me one kill to get through 😂 on grounded.

The fact that, on grounded ,I avoided every encounter possible and finished ellie's part without max ammo on the pistol hunts me to this day
For those struggling with the Grounded Daily Run, after each round, close your game and upload your save file to the cloud. Then if you die, just close the game and download the save file you uploaded, go to the No Return tab on the Last of Us 2 screen (the picture you press X on to start the game) and press Square to Resume Activity. Now you have another chance at the run.
And you can do this infinitely until you win as long as you do it within the 24 hours for the run. I died like 8 times and was able to finish and get both trophies.

New viewer as of today, all I can say is that someone should told my guy that aiming for the knee is the best way to beat anything on grounded. Stuns and leaves them open for a one shot melee kill!

You should get an award for having the courage to play this more than once.
On daily run (ps5) you can upload saved data before you start then download it if you fail. Essentially you load a cloud save to bypass the wait period
Grounded’s ammo scarcity as well as emotional damage is what kept me from platinuming the game even though it is by far my most played game at like 621 hours
I was about to type you should platinum rdr 2 and then I heard a quiet voice and I instantly recognised it. Not many games are that memorable
All the "controversial" aspects of the game is not only what makes it great, but memorable.
I've played so many good games that I couldn't tell you a single detail about if you asked me.
But TLOU? I remember everything and I'm endlessly fascinated by all the details, world, and story.

It is memorable but not great , it’s just shock value for the sake of shock value and poorly written.
Shock value tends to do that.
I don't even remember anything about this game BUT the shock value and miserable bits. I personally feel like the quiet, melancholy moments that make you forget you're sitting in front of a monitor are the best ones. There weren't really any moments like that in TLOU 2.
My best comparisons/examples are staring up at the Aurora in Skyrim, the sinking feeling of Cyberpunk 2077's endings (each of them quiet and tragically bitter in their own ways)/sitting atop the dam at night and watching the city below, The ending of AC Black Flag, the quiet melancholy of Super Mario Galaxy, and so many more that I don't dare name, lest this comment gets too long.
TLOU 2's got a message, that's for sure, but it doesn't have the tone it needed to carry out that message well. A better writer, a more melancholy tone, and less shock value would do great things for this game if it ever gets remade. As it currently stands, there's really no quiet introspective moments of its world or themes. Even Horizon Zero Dawn, a game that bored me to tears, had more introspection to it and was carried by its (mostly) well-written story.

i have watched your content and streams for awhile and i watched the streams on this game.. Me personally i have no problem with you using accessibility settings; because due to fact i was born with a disability where I only have use of my left hand I use them. i assure you accessibility settings arent cheats ...otherwise your character would never die or fail a mission.... they assist people when that person or people need it. i just wanted you to hear my perspective since i use them when I play often... I'm not a language warrior ...lol and in fact i love your content i watch it alot by the way congrats on the Lies of P Platinum... @IAmRob Keep it up....

For the rat king fight it continuously spawns resources around the fight and ammo, it justs a but sparcer on grounded as far as im aware
I love him complaining that the people constantly stop moving and look behind them like there not in a apocalypse where being careful and knowing your surroundings are necessary to survive

I did a grounded permadeath run twice - first time it took me 2 months of casual play and around 43 in game hours, the second run it took me 16 in game hours (skipping cutscenes obviously)
