Thanks for your time and effort TDM! I just picked up my first iem, the Hola. I don’t have much to compare them to, but I think they sound pretty darn good for budget iems. Thanks for the great recommendation! What’s the next step up under $100, Simgot ea500’s, Moondrop Aria, Hexa, T3+? Keep up the great reviews!
I read that as Dol-che, idk how they actually pronounce it. Timmy said Cadenza was heady or slightly fatigue inducing, so I held off with cadenza and took Ouranos. You mentioned Dolce having more energy, I'm sensitive to peaky highs.
The way your saying Dolce is Soooooo wrong but as for the Kiwi Ears then I have both models yet still prefer the Cadenza. It’s down to the tips in my Opinion and using memory foam tips on the cadenza makes a huge difference to the sound.
It's a more reliable connection and more cost effective to implement in this kind of shell. Great question! I prefer 2 pin and even more MMCX but at this price point I understand why KiwiEars went this route.
@@tonedeafmonk hmm should the industry shift towards the QDC connector then if it’s more reliable? And do you think there will be a gradual shift as time goes on for most to be that type?
@Athenovae I see that more and more on less expensive IEM , but to integrate a 0.78 2 pin or MMCX into a full resin shell looks more premium and is a better connector. I think manufacturers know they can't charge over $100 with a cheap QDC Connector. I would not buy one at that price if they did. IMHO
@@tonedeafmonk ohhhh I missed the “in this kind of shell” part. Gotcha. :) Also what’s your take on the view that MMCX isn’t as reliable as 2 pin? I hear a lot of chatter regarding its relatively faster breakdown.
@Athenovae I found that only in cheaper IEM's I purchased. The better IEM like DUNU, ISN, Have very little problems because they use a quality connector. The comfort because ypu can get the perfect angle and the ability to rotate makes MMCX my favorite and you never have to worry about correct polarity.
I haven’t tried the Dolce, but agree with you 100% on the Truthear Hola. Great review and comparisons. 👍
lol the Dolce slipped past my radar glad you reviewed it I just love Kiwi Ears IEMs lol

kiwiears quartet , it's slightly above 100 but worth
The Simgot EA500 is pretty amazing.
EA500 for sure then budget for the $300 as that's the next step up, then $500 beyond that your returns are minimal.
Good comparisons, I'd pronounce it dolche too btw
Doll chay
Thank you for comparing Dolce with Hola.
Whoever has both, what do u prefer?

I'm pretty sensitive, for example Tin Hifi T3's I just can't listen to for more than 10 minutes, but Cadenza is honestly fine, no issues 8 hours +
It's pronounced
" Dol'Che," Italian for Sweet!
Or as in:-
Dolce and Gabbana👍

It was deliberately done lol but thanks. The Cadenze is 👍
@@tonedeafmonk Touché Sir😜
I think it’s “dol che” 😊
But I’m wondering why they went with a QDC connection instead of standard 2 pin 😮

To much spark for me.
It did get a bit spicy at times on bust tracks especially with songs without the bass to balance it out.
