And this amazing show makes me more eager to learn about my beautiful lgbtq culture. So much to learn. Not just the good but the bad, I take for granted so many things that my fellow people couldn't do years ago. I'm realizing it now and need to know more of my history.
Love what Bad Bunny is doing for Latino male machismo culture. I am a TS girl but my bf is Puerto Rican and extremely machismo street type. Men like that need Latino role models who don’t follow the strict roles set for men. Love to see LGBT culture going mainstream. For lgbt people and for people like my bf who date us. ❤
Great show as a straight man, i love this show. Is funny, sad, and gets the 80s in great fashion and music. The actresses and actors are stupendous.👏👏👏
The use of music to develop the storylines really made this a good show to watch. This battle was a clean sweep. So using "Swept Away" by Diana Ross was pure genius. Also, the look that Electra gives Blanca at 2:30 when she realizes her potential to mold Damon is priceless. The first win is in the bag but she knows that Blanca will become a forced to be reckoned with.
I honestly thought I hated realworld based dramas until I found this show. Turns out I never liked them because they just never had characters I could relate to. This first episode had me in love right away. Also, can we talk about how Damon carried Evangelista(with literally no knowledge of Ballroom) against all of Abundance until Blanca came in at the end?
I'm just sayin, when Elektra does that batman chop I needed someone to call the medic because I literally WAS NOT READY! I live! There is no other show that reps for the LGBT community in any way. Pose has not only made me even more proud to be a gay man but it also teaches us what our elder LGBT community went through and how much it has changed for us today. This cast is unstoppable!
This soundtrack of Pose is just the icing on the cake of this amazing tv show! There will be no other like Pose, period!!! This will be talked about for generations to come!

Guy in white [who skip-hopped with shoulder pads] equally fantastic. As anticipated. Miss Elektra pranced and posed with aplomb in gold lame and matching turban.
At 3:04 that waving goodbye by her chin move Elektra does on beat is sooo dope. That was the moment it was all over! Real voguers from back in the day recognize😀

Did anybody notice the one in the white suit jacket is open and close according to how the scene is cut away? He unbuttons at 1:28 then the jacket is closed at 1:31 and it happens throughout the clip.

I haven't watched Pose yet but i've seen paris is burning and since it's based on that then i'm correctly assuming the characters are the same. one of the main queens/leader of one of the houses was a gay man. Ballrooms had walks for the drag kings/lesbians and the gay queens and transwomen. And some categories were mixed, so it's not a story about just one of those groups of people lol. Also that comment is probably using gay as an umbrella term...it's not that deep
Ik these times were messed up especially in society for queer people etc but I’d give anything to experience what it was like to be there like the clothes the music the dances everything is absolutely amazing like actually being able to express urself in a way that is so different but was a part of their everyday life during this time
