@@AndrewTalavera-q6c Growing up in the 90's and 2000's, this is the kind of movie I wish they would bring back! I miss movies like this! This scene is still incredibly awesome and Johns music adds so much. Going from beautiful and mysterious to nightmare fuel in a second!
@@scripsscraps All non-American dubs had this version of the screams as well as slightly different music. The non-American versions used different parts of "Miracle of the Ark" track in from score (you can find the full version which contains both the American and non-American versions of the score in the released soundtrack). From the "Miracle of the Ark" track I believe the whole ark ceremony was longer but trimmed in the final cut. If you want the alternate screams (and score) just watch any non-American version of this scene.
Lucky crowd! This is awesome. Interestingly, the only reason Marion and Indy lived is because they closed their eyes and didn't see what was in the Ark, which was meant only for the eyes of the Temple priests.
Belloq dressed like the high priest with the breastplate and the urim and thummim (stones on his shoulders) @ the staff didn't save him, gestapo toht and the other nazis from wrath poured out.

I have watched this scene hundreds of times and it still gives me chills.
Same dude

@@sguinn91 I totally agree with you John Music is Incredibly awesome it does have Nightmare fuel to it in a second
Fun fact this is how silent films used to work
Just music and text images, right?
They had someone playing a piano in the theatre
@@martinmanifold2241 Either a piano or a theatre organ.
My favorite scene in the whole movie. I love the face melting.
The audience clapped but quickly stopped when the orchestra played the next tune. But during the rest, they never made a sound. Maximum respect.
With the HD one can really see that the nazis corpses at the end were actually GI joe action figures.
Top 10 scenes that disturbed me as a child but now I love them
One of cinema 's greatest moments
And scariest, for a PG movie.
There’s also Jaws, but then again almost that whole movie is scary.
I like how they changed belloq and dietriches scream but not tohts
I think thats a alternativ version. In the German dub it is also this scream
Before they die or as they die?

I'd love to see this film with a live orchestra so bad! It's one of my all-time favorites and as a musician that would be such an awesome experience
I really want to see a live orchestra show with the film too. Hopefully you get your wish
Old Testament god for sure...
Old AND New, the desecrators are destroyed but the heroes who showed the proper respect were not only spared but rewarded, as their bonds were cut
so cool the they get real made music live . AAAAAA+++++++.
I hate watching this in the movie theatre when I was a kid I cry but I stay quiet
I swear the screams for Paul Freeman and Wolf Kahler sound completely different to the version I've grown up with.
They are. This was probably a different mix for foreign release or something.
This sounds similar to Palpatine's theme
This is my favorite part of the movie!
How entertaining this is.
wow cool effect of the opening the ark italian
So different!

It probably didn’t help Belloq’s case that he was essentially cosplaying as one. I’m pretty sure that might count as sacrilege or something.
How did they get home from the island?
Turn down the heat in the jacuzzi!
Burn the special Stone Cutters underwear.

I'm glad you recognized Toht as Gestapo, many think he was SS
