I think this the field I want to go into. I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for over 30 years and I truly believe my experiences with this disease will definitely set me apart from the rest. The one that really puzzles my brain is thyroid disease/disorders. It’s still a mystery to me. Great video as well!!

Nice video, Delancey. GREAT POINTS and I did a lot of nodding during this video…nailed it with a preceptor mindset for sure. Also, the thing that looks like an orange tree (but I don’t think it is) on your bookcase is really neat to look at 😊

Ah thank you so much, Lauren!!! ❤️ and tbh…. It might actually be a little orange/tangerine tree figurine. Not sure! It was handed down to me! But I love looking at it too 🤣

I graduated with a political science degree and now I want to get into a masters program in dietetics, do you think it makes more sense to get into a coordinated program to avoid the hassle go getting into a internship? Thank you, also do you think its important to go to school in a state you can see yourself in long term(for job prospects)? thank you

      Hi Mona!
Interning/attending school in your home state versus elsewhere depends on a few different factors... with financials being a big one. But if that's not a concern, then certainly interning/going to school in a city you intend to live in in the future will open more doors for you. It'll make it much easier to transition from being a student to a full time working RD, since you'll have established connections before entering the job market. Might even get an offer before you finish interning!
You'll have to intern no matter what! If you have the time and space in your life right now to do a graduate degree and internship at the same time - I say go for it! It'll make the process much quicker!
