i interpreted the "devil" as corruption and greed in the context of the video... because those two problems are one of the mainstays for nothing getting done in an environmental perspective

Here's what I think: Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject here. Maison is French for "house", and they are singing about everyone's house, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert").
People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!"
Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. The more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear though. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect!

they have big brain staffs behind them for sure. as a bachelor of chemistry I really proud and amazed that they did it seriously not just random putting numbers to the air pollutants listed in the indicator. there are O3 (ozone), SO2 (sulphur dioxide), NO2, and particulate matters PM2.5 PM10 (2.5 and 10 microns). they set it NO2 to set the colour scheme

Comeback season is so chaotic, I love the content everywhere but I'm late to most of it 😅
About 6:08 , yes, it reminded me A LOT to Squid Games. It might have something to do with it, since in the drama they were used by the greedy in power. SuA said about it that it represented the people who decided to ignore what's happening, so she's giving it nightmares
Story wise, they seem to be angry goddesses who came down to punish people for what they do to the planet. As sad as I am to still have to hear about this, I like how they decided to approach the issue, it's not only about those who do harm but also about those (including us) who do nothing and get comfortable in the system. Imo big corporations have more weight to it, but it's an interesting topic to bring to the table how everyone as members of society just accept it and passively contribute to pollution instead of actively search for solutions. Right now it seems both a cry for help and a reprimand, I'm curious about how they'll unveil the rest of the story in future comebacks
I agree! It is interesting that they present the argument that a portion of the blame is on us as well, and that gets us all thinking and hopefully will cause some people to try to mobilize for better! :)
By now, if you watch the MV again, there is official sub and it is more grammatically correct so it is easier to understand. The initial translations are somewhat good enough but some sentences just don't make sense. But you nailed it anyway😊👍

In some novels Gods only can materialize in our world for a short time and in limited power, thats why they needed proxy/apostle.
Thats why they said "please fight FOR us" not "WITH" if this make some sense.
But during the MV the statue turned from divine to evil so does the power (purple orbs/portal) change the color.
In some novels i read that sometimes who seen "Too Divine" is also Sinister and chaotic

I also thought that the idle that JiU was standing in represented Gaea(literally mother Earth) and the 7 of them are descendants or divided personas of Gaea.
@@knifenam5836that also plausible, if we backtracked it from scream lore they are the protector of the earth they may have some origin of power but it might get corrupted bcs of what happened in scream MV
@@ein110 they're not connected, but the story this time may follow the same path as scream. But since they don't have a single point of origin for the power/destruction(like the crystal in the Dystopia trilogy), and remember that the happenings in scream just gave way to what happened in Boca. The crystal shattering was because of the hate, not because of the guardians themselves. I know that they'll end this new trilogy in a sad but realistic open ending, but I wonder what path they'll take after Maison.
