    I was wondering when you checked the air pressure in the tank and there wasn’t any, then you took out valve stem and there wasn’t any water coming out(wouldn’t that indicate that the diaphragm was still good?)why didn’t you try putting the air back in and let it ride? Someone could have messed with the air valve.

    Why not change out the relief valve anyway while the system is drained?

    I have a 1960 boiler that worked great until there was a main break in the street. After that the boiler psi would go over 30 even without the boiler on. Could it be the expansion tank Or can I be the PRV. I tried shutting the feeder valve off ,The wheel turns but I don’t think it’s shutting off. Any ideas of what to do? I thought of putting a shark bite valve in front of the old valve.

    Have you had any issues with those Zilmets? I’ve put a few in lately and the pressure was still rising. Wondering if the diaphragm is getting stuck to the inside of the tank

      watts are decent and resemble priced .....amtrol is good also but more money .just drain the boiler or take pressure of tank and check tank charge pressure it should be 12 to 15 lbs with no load / boiler pressure on it .

  • @rastagrastag7784
    @rastagrastag7784 7 месяцев назад

    Did you still have to drain the boiler with that shut off valve being in line ?
