When I need solace, I listen to this version of Mr. Rankin's grear song. It is, for me, the most important thing I've ever found on RUclips- it heals my spirit and soul. Mr. D'Grass Cruz: I am so grateful that you posted this recording, and I can't thank you enough. God bless you, your family, and friends... now, and in all the days to come.
I am grateful to be able to view such valuable footage from the past. I saw his live performance and was very impressed. He passed away too soon, but I'm lucky to have all of his albums.
Kenny was one of my mother favorite artists in the 70’s. I went to see him with her twice and also fell in love with his beautiful voice and guitar playing. A special talent - gone way too soon. ❤️
What an artist. The voice is so naturally beautiful, and he has absolute control of it. Such musicality in his playing as well. You sure were a great one, Kenny!
Botn in 1970, this man has filled my soul with peace and love through his beautiful velvet voice. A very moving musician that I have now brought my daughter up on. To see my sixteen year old daughter sing with me brings me feelings of deep love. Thank you Kenny, you are loved and missed by so many.
I saw him in this very small and quaint little pub in Piermont, Ny and it was just like this. He was talking to everyone and wanted to know what we wanted to hear. What a wonderful man he was!!
What a find. Thank you for posting. I've been following Kenny's career since "Like a Seed" in the early '70's and always loved his voice and songwriting. The voice of an angel---more fluid with impeccable phrasing than anyone.
In the early 80’s my wife and I were trapped in a huge rainstorm in Northampton…we run over to a little cafe and there he was…. We sat and listened to this man with the magical voice. It was the best concert I ever attended…RIP
I first discovered Kenny Rankin when he released “Silver Morning” “Haven’t We Met?” Absolutely blew my mind, and all of the other great cuts off that album. Of course “Inside” followed that release with all those other great cuts like “Creepin” and “Sunday kind of love” I also loved his later work from the Great American Songbook Music like “ You’d be so nice to come home to” Kenny is legendary and sorely missed.
Your voice is truly missed in a world gone mad😢

I bought my first Kenny Rankin LPs about 50 years ago as a college student. To this day I love his songs and am in awe of his great talent.

Beautiful. Kenny, his voice, guitar, place, time.
If only I could find that bliss again. If I do this song will come back to me.
Actually. That's more than in my grasp. I just have to let go.
What a gem. You are missed Kenny. What phenomenal talent 🎤🎸❤️🎶
Hello Andrea
I enjoyed seeing Kenny open for George Carlin several times in the early '70's. Beautiful memories & wonderful opening act!
lucky, lucky duck.
Wow, you are so very lucky. And you get to have those beautiful memories forever. I’m jealous

Amazing how beautiful music just poured out of this guy

Now this is a musical artist. His voice is as much an instrument as his guitar, and they play in perfect harmony.

One of the finest live performances of all time by one of the greatest vocalists of all time. Only Al Jarreau compares.

His voice always puts me in a beautiful head space and I feel warm, loving and peaceful.
Rankin always makes me cry. Lord, wish he were still with us, but RIP, dear Kenny.
just wiped away a few tears meself.
Me too. Such a beautiful and gifted musician.
Kenny made the classical nylon string acoustic guitar cool. NO ONE could sing like him either. Maybe we could say Dan Fogelberg came pretty close….
Thanks, that reminds me, I've been meaning to play DF's," Heart Hotel",it's gone off my playlist.

I think Kenny Rankin might be my favorite singer.
Now that’s what I call talent! If only I could sing and play guitar like that. Beautiful, on so many levels.
This has become my favorite find on YT ever...could easily be Kenny performing in Heaven today...

To all you young and uninitiated people, this is what is called "talent". Let's see Taylor Swift match this.
Nice find my man!
Wow! What year was this? ❤❤❤ RIP
Can u find K.Rankin singing pussywillow cattail..pls.hoping for that video for along time..thanks
No one like him at all....
He and Tim Buckley have a similar quality.
I thought this was a Helen Reddy 🎵 song . I guess Rankin wrote it himself .
Helen Reddy does it better but this guy is very talented. But Helen has a voice that is heard from the heavens
if it weren't for "this guy" she wouldn't have had the song to sing. Get real.
