I love the style of your recaps. We can see the players making the moves, we see the board clearly at the top of the screen, commentary is good, and you cut out the time between moves so that it's not boring to watch. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate your work very much 🙏
Magnus is not feeling bad for his opponents. Go watch him on his live streams. He is savage when talking about his opponents and cuts them no slack. He openly makes fun of them if they don't play well. The reason he making the faces here is because he expects more, a lot more, from his opponents at this level. He expects excellence and a challenge, because he rarely gets them online or during his streams. That face is him saying, "What kind of noob move was that?? I thought you were supposed to be good!" Magnus is a great player, and actually a nice person away from the table, but once you are seated opposite of him, you are just fish bait, and there have been times I have seen him just toy with his food before devouring them with a smile on his face. As far as GOAT is concerned, even Magnus has said it is Bobby Fischer. I would agree.
9:45 I am the second one in 1st row during Nodirbek vs Magnus match. I witnessed the Magnus effect from front.. Though it still hurts seeing the game ended this way.. Hope Nodirbek will make come back today 🙏
He is very talented and has potential to be future WC. His tenacity is outstanding. These youngsters need more experience to become even more dangerous.
Gotta feel for Nodirbek here. Many times we are applauding the brilliance of the combinations these GM's come up with. On this occasion, it didn't work. When Nodirbek played h3, I wondered if he had considered Bb6 (to cover the d8 square). Then his sacrifice would have worked. I also wonder if he had calculated that after ..Qh4, the bishop could come to e2 and stop the perpetual, but didn't visualize the knight on d4 would then be able to capture it?
it happens. only good thing for nodirbek is that it is only a draw not losing from a completely winning position because it will break him and also the last round..
Nodirbek’s army was screaming and advancing violently but suddenly it hit the super solid ramparts of Magnus’ fortress from which millions of firy arrows suddenly flew out hitting and destroying Nodirbek’s loud charging army!
That's quite poetic, but that's not what was happening here, lol. It's more like the white army, in expectance of a sure win, was hitting the bong one time too hard.

Chess is a game of nerves with all the engines around. Its not qbout creativity or positional play. Its about who can be more mentally tough to go on without even one over sight move
