  • We look at the PARD FT clip on - which can also with a mount be a scope and a handheld - we also test the front clip on (in this video we did use the FD1 but the mount is the same) for retaining zero

    Question for you! How well does it retain "zero" in clip on configuration? Do I need to collimate every time? Also, I've got a Schmidt & Bender that doesn't give me any parallax adjustment. Is that feature necessary to get a good image?

      Watch the video I have a test there using the FD1, concept is the same, yes you should check it - any front clip on (any brand) that isn’t bolted to chassis can move depending on what you do as its just holding the front of the scope - QD mounts and just swap the whole scope is better - needs to be able to focus to see the screen

    Hi there, I bought a PARDTA32-25LRF and love it🙂.
    I had a Pulsar Axion XM30S before and the PARD
    knocks spots off it.
    I have a question on the PARD clip on!
    As a clip on, can it be used without a retical?
    Reason I ask is, my scope already has an illuminated reticle.

    Hey mate, just want to confirm that when using as a clip on , you cant utilise the balistics calculator / range finder with the automatic adjustment?

      Correct - the very fine adjustments required make it rather impossible with any distance to be that precise with something clamped on to a scope - LRF works though

    Good morning, excellent video, but I have a question. What is the difference between the FT32 and the FT34? thanks

    Great video , really appreciate the time and effort you put into it!
    Would you recommend it as a clip on for a 3/4k$ budget ?
    Thanks

      Yes ideally it needs to be mounted to a front rail (as does any front clip on); depends how you hunt - I prefer it as a pure scope and handheld with the QD mounts

    Would you detect a duck, rabbit or a pheasant at +/- 80 yards with such clip on?

      @owlopticsandoutdoors  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes - rabbits easy
      Ducks are quite insulated with their feathers/wings so their feet and head glows more than body
      Not sure what pheasants look like under thermal, potentially similar to ducks - have them at home but just never looked at them with thermal
      They will be visible just not bright white like the rabbits

    Which one is good use as scope? ft lrf thermal or sa 32 lrf

    • @owlopticsandoutdoors
      @owlopticsandoutdoors  23 дня назад

      Either really - just different specs - both have ballistics - with QD mounts both do work as a handhelds as well, FT is smaller - but both the FT and SA32 are older models now - pantera, ocelot, TD are the scopes and predator replaced FT (not seen a predator yet)

    Can you mount it to a bump helmet?

    Anyone know if there's a mount for this device to attach it to a ballistic helmet and use it as hands free
