To see him fearlessly and effortlessly transition from First Born, Carbon Carousel, E&A and By The Throat makes me wonder jusf where he could go with it. He went beyond musical norms and didn't worry about his talent in what he tried, he respected the art of expression.. seeing him dabble in little acoustic shows and being naked and raw to the listener... he was far from reaching his artistic peak and I will forever miss this man..
Don't know how this guy would ever get hate mail, most good artist do change their sound, for me its like your sound will change as you get older and evolve, he just stayed true to his art, a true artist in my opinion stay real to what they feel and not just put out what people want to hear,

I have a friend who's on pills for bipolar depression, and he's kind of 'artsy' and he sounds very similar. You can't necessarily say he's on heroine, and he sounds very clear with his conversations and references and recollections. And also, I can imagine Eyedea feels a bit funny talking about himself, especially when most interviewers and audiences could care less. He even says he feels 'cliche' saying he's more punk rock with the new E&A.

I think the interviewer was trying to compare with Eyedea's intelligence by trying to give more life to his words via.... metaphysical adjectives... but it wasn't happening. And it was very obvious. Good interview though man... Eyedea is a Ledgend
I actually admire him more for changing up his style a lot. However It still breaks my heart to know that 17-19 yo kid from the blaze rap battles would pass from a drug overdose ten years later. Mike left way too early.
