lol give it a thumbs down twice. Great video. I bought a pair to make youtube stuff and it pains me that videos are vertical. From the couple teardown videos I've seen the sensor is installed in the vertical direction so any firmware updates for horizontal would involve a drop in image quality. Also there's no chance it's gonna happen anyway. Come one apple, google, Samsung whoever please make a nice pair of Vuarnet sunglasses with horizontal framing and a 3 to 5 minute or more record time.
Im not promoting. Im just sharing my experience with them and I think they are awesome for POV social media content. If you think it's for stalkers then you realize Samsung has crazy telephoto zoom cameras that don't even let anyone around know they are being filmed. At least with these you can tell when the LED is on its recording.

I work in an industry that's partially security, and having the ability to record and capture moments with the Ray Ban Meta smartglasses instantly is ideal and convenient... In the coming weeks, after getting my own pair of Meta is going to be entrainment life changing!
Seems like a pretty interesting tool for POV. I'm guessing eventually there will be a zoom feature and the ability to change aspect ratio for YT. Or, Google have a return to their glasses with a Pixel Glass product soon! LOL! Have a great week.

It's amazing. it replaced my airpods since they have been act weird...one ear is charging another isn't....I can listen music and take picture and videos..perfect to make reels. I wouldn't recommend using it at night time outdoor videos since it has some shaky and blurry effect. Overall It may seems like expensive but it's absolutely worth it. Also the AI is pretty cool.
I'll never understand the vertical letterbox format. Instagram had a whole generation of Hasselblad shooters reminiscing with its square crop! Why not shoot square and allow cropping later? $299 is lower than I expected. Facebook? Fck no.
What they fail to tell you is that the glasses only work with a limited set of phones only from Apple, Google Pixie and Samsung. My Samsung Note10+ does not work with the glasses.
How is actually using your camera with the polorized shades? I'm sure it's hard to see your camera screen. I was thinking the clear lenses would be better for BTS for this reason, but what do you think?

You must be sensitive to it. I’ve been wearing them almost every day for a year and don’t have any issues, I use them like headphones to listen to music while walking. I’m probably getting brain cancer from it but who knows

I don’t know what you mean by continuously. But the max record duration you can set it to is 1min. Once it stops you have to start recording again. It’s done this way because it’s made for IG reels and stories which are 1min ( usually )
If you want to be treated as a creep, sure. Google Glass died for that very reason.. But there is no expectation of privacy in public? Well, mostly yes - but how do you feel about children being recorded outside their school by someone with a covert recording device? What happens when someone wearing these sneaks into a courthouse? These are covert recording devices and making them pretty just makes them harder to spot. The external warning light? Google Glass had that too, but it could be removed by physically re-wiring or (much more easily) patched out in software. But you would never do that? Likely not. But I bet you can think of plenty who would.
Anyone can record the same stuff with their phone (with no recording led) And your phone can zoom in way closer from farther distance. Samsung phones are like 10x optical zoom. If you are a creep you will be one with or without the glasses
@@onenote6619 Somebody can easily fake a call and instead record you while holding their phone right beside your face. You will never know. Don't forget dash cams, security cameras, small action cams like the insta360 go.. it actually feels complicated to stalk someone with those glasses since the resolution is not that great compared to 4k smartphones and you need to be physically close to the person.
