In this video I demonstrate how to create a metadata preset that you can have Lightroom use to automatically add your name, address, and copyright info to your images as you import them. Thanks for the video. I would really like to find a camera app for my mobile which has option to modify the added data. As most pictures are currently made with our phones. Would anyone know if there is a camera app which allows this?
Hi, Anthony. Someone just advised me to include a copyright in my image metadata. I followed your instructions and it will now add for all future uploads. But is there a way to add this copyright metadata to the images already in my Lightroom Classic catalog?
Found this video looking for this solution, and figured it out for anyone also wondering this: On the main menu bar there is a tab called "Metadata." You most likely have the option "Show Metadata for Target Photo Only" selected. Deselect this, and you will be able to edit many photos at once by going into a folder, selecting all the photos, and choosing the appropriate profile from the metadata menu that Mr. Morganti indicates at 4:28.
Hi Anthony and thanks for all great work you share. I just wonder about the changed metadata regarding this metadata preset information; I find out it only apply to the Lightroom database and not to the metadata field in the raw-file. Ether during import picture using this preset or when changing directly in the metadata fields. The "Metadata Status", (almost at the top), says "Has been changed". And if I click on the button beside that text, Lightroom create a sidecar file *.xmp next to the raw file. Do you know if there is a way in Lightroom to save the changed metadata directly to the metadata field in the raw file?
Thanks Anthony! A (probably) ridiculously amateurish question, but should I be copyrighting all photos I share on social media if I am not a professional, and don't 'pay' for any specific copyright protection? I have tried searching this question a few times and get lost in the tremendous bulk of opinions and web sites. I remember you posted a video like this a few years ago, and I had been using your method until someone convinced me it does no good if you don't file and pay for each protected image. I appreciate your work and trust your opinions.

Is it’s best to use your photography name or your real name your parents gave you for copyrights ©? Can you use your photography name or company for copy rights?

Hi, oke clear at import, but would be good if the Export metadata was explained as well. there it counts when "sending images out there on the net" ..
If adding Lightroom copyright, do you still need to add copyright info in camera?

Yes, but of course be sure to file important collections. It’s not hard nor expensive to submit a large collection.
If your phone number ends with 266, you might want to reconsider your security;
