  • This Crochet Plaid cardigan was made using the extended single crochet stitch, slip stitch and the front post and back post stitches for the ribbing. It can be made in any size. All you will need is Your shoulder to shoulder measurements, length measurements and around upper arm measurements.
    I used 10 skeins of white and 3 skeins of black DK acrylic yarn.. Each 50g and 133m long.
    Hook size I used 4.5mm, use the recommended hook size for your yarn.

      I agree! Look now! Duh what's wrong with these people! I believe its time for no more freebies! Only show parts that could use more clarification! Maybe then some of these real jerks get it! Lol I'd pay for this pattern. If I could find it! I am wondering if this is one of those " just watch no pattern". Lol ok so quit typing ME! And listen up!

As I was watching you do the measurements, explain how to piece it together and then do it, I was inspired to make one myself and you’ve given me the confidence to perhaps try a different method of the overlay slip-stitching on the sleeves to match up with the body…without your tutorial I would never thought of doing any of this…again, thank you!!!

    I’m looking for some new beanie patterns for women that suffer with alopecia. I went through your playlist and only found one really cool hat. Would you be up to the challenge of creating some beanies or hats? I’m stuck in the old circular/multi stitch pattern and could use some inspiration. Can you help a sista out?

    Hey! I'm from Romania and I've been crocheting for a very short time. Your tutorials are wonderful and you inspired me to crochet something for myself too. Do you think you can help me by explaining how you measure exactly from shoulder to shoulder? I know it's a silly question, but I hope you can help me.
    Thank you so much for all your hard work and inspiration!

    • @accrochets
      @accrochets  Год назад

      It’s a legit question, I don’t know if it’s the right way but I put the measure tape at tip of one shoulder and across behind my neck to the other shoulder tip. But you can find tutorials on RUclips on how to measure that, it’s better if you see it than read it 😊

    • @accrochets
      @accrochets  Год назад

      I can't really tell, I don't time myself. but it depends on the stitch, DC is fastest for me. a skirt may take me 4 hrs and another skirt 20 hrs.

  • @kellyrandolph3254
    @kellyrandolph3254 Год назад +1

    Your designs are always stunning!Can't wait to try this one.
    My only problem is knowing how much yarn to order for the appropriate size/ inch measurement. You always mention how many skeins of each color you've used for the extra small or small size, but if I'm making a garment for myself or family member I need to make a size Medium, Large, or Extra Large (depending on the person). I've sneakily gotten the shoulder to shoulder measurements from family members during our Christmas gathering a month ago. Now I'd like to order the yarn. I live in a rural area without a craft retailer close by. So, I need to order online and when I estimate I either fall short or have a lot left over. Do you have any suggestions on how to better estimate the yarn materials needed by size? Or perhaps to do a tutorual on it? I may not be the only one with this issue. Thanks!!

    • @accrochets
      @accrochets  Год назад +1

      Honestly, I do not know. I can’t even estimate because I usually just make my size. Even when making for myself I usually don’t know how much I need till I finish. 😔

    • @kellyrandolph3254
      @kellyrandolph3254 Год назад +1

      Thanks for making me not feel like an idiot. I've been crocheting and knitting for 40 years and have never figured it out in advance when just working off measurements. I keep thinking there must be some trick or general guideline I'm unaware of. In the past I usually followed a written pattern from a large yarn manufacturer that would have yarn amounts listed by size and they were usually pretty accurate because they have a staff of pattern testers.
      But your designs are so lovely and high fashion that I'd rather make your items - especially for my nieces. I suppose I should just over buy and see how it goes. I thought maybe there was a formula like twice the yarn amount for a size small = the right amount for a size large. That would have been too easy 🤣

    • @DEUT28iztruth
      @DEUT28iztruth Год назад +1

      You may just have to crochet a skein in sc, then one in dc, and one in hdc then measure how many inches you get vertically and horizontally. So you can measure how many inches per skein. It could be tiresome; but if you use the same type of yarn in different colors for the projects it can be done once. Then if it doesn’t kill you, do the same for other types of yarn. Good luck!
