    I have no words to express my love for these songs.i sang them in the early 70s when I was a teenager.am still listening to them especially when am in a world of my own,alone with no disturbance.i love country music

      I just discovered Porter and I love him

    There is nothing I don't love about Dolly Parton. From her beautiful voice to her feminine looks. From her warm personality to her quick wit and flirtatious sense of humor. From her infectious laugh to her absolutely gorgeous smile. To me, Dolly Parton is about as perfect as they come. Carl Dean is one lucky man.

    Well it don't get much better than Porter & Dolly this is a show I never knew this happened . They were among the best duo ever right up there with Conway & Loretta and George & Tammy . You could flip a coin as far as I was concerned because all three of them were great in there own way ...

    My family has been country music lovers since we were children.. Back then the real music singers we knew were JimReeves Charlie Pride and these 2 iconic singers.. My younger brother went on to be a very good guitarist and an.outstanding singer.. I remember all the lovely times we got together and had country music sing alongs and their songs was enjoyed by all.. Sadly my brother passed away last but he lives on in.our hearts and we listen to beautiful voice in his music that was recorded

    I never heard Dolly's duets with Porter.. their voices blend so well. Dolly's tone is so unique and beautiful.. Porter's tone shows off her voice so beautifully.
    Cant blame her for wanting to go off by herself.. but I could listen to this music all day too.

    I remember this I was 6 years old. Im in my 50's now and listing in 2019. I love Dolly Parton so much.
    This is when county music was real. The world has changed so much since 1973. Incredible how Dolly grew right along with it. She is a true Legendary Star!🥰

    When I was a kid, this was my favorite show! I have loved County music all my life, plus Elvis! Grew up on him, my parents loved him! I was barn in 1953! Yeah, I am old and proud of it!

    I was born in 1969 and by 1973 I can remember this show. My Pepaw Ting would tell my Memaw Elsie that he couldn’t stand Dolly & he called her ol pee face but deep down he had a crush on her. Even in blindness he’d listen to her music. That was a long time ago, great days in Cadiz Kentucky and I miss those days and the elders with all my heart. 🇺🇸

    Jeannie's afraid of the dark, I will never forget that song, the man I was dating, his uncle cried every time this came on the radio, he had a little girl that was born stillborn! It broke his heart! Will never forget that!

    I watched this show when I was a kid with my parents. We seldom missed an episode. You forget how good this show was or how well the music was even 50 years later. Dolly Parton became a superstar under Porter Wagoner. I think Dolly Parton helped make Porter Wagoner a whole lot better too. I wish television shows were made like this today. Country music like this has been the only music I have liked all of my life.

    Not only is Dolly the most magnificent Country singer note how she alters the phrasing, like Billie Holiday or Frank Sinatra, Jazz style, wrapping her beautiful voice all around the melody. The more you listen to Dolly the more you hear.

    I grew up on the Porter Wagoner Show in Ohio and even got the chance to see them at the Toledo Masonic Auditorium in 1972 where I got Dolly's autograph. I was just 11 years old but these songs were burned in my mind and I just loved them.

    Dolly has been my favourite from long ago. There's some calmness that comes with listening to Dolly's songs.
    Her duet with Porter is awesome,, felt sad when they fell out and Dolly had to pay Potter lots of 💰💰💰💰....

    My husband our two boys and myself went to Buck Lake Ranch in Angola Indiana in the 60’s to see Dolly and Porter. Norma Jean is the one who recommended Dolly to Porter when she was living his show.

      Nope. Dolly extended Porters career. His show would have sunk years earlier, if not for Dolly being on it.
      Besides that, nearly all the folks that knew him, with the exception of Dolly, said he was an a$$hole.
      Think he tried to get into her pants for years and couldn’t. Really pissed him off.

    This show along with the Wilburn Bros show were all I could get during the 60's in CA. But I always loved watching them - thanks for this one (I do remember this episode very well!)

    porter had the right kind of voice to highlight dolly's voice----good pitch no vibrato good range a resonant baritone formed the foundation for perfect harmony
